Amazing food, great costumer service. It was our first time eating here but everything was amazing.

Went to Lotus Persian Cuisine for NYE. For the NYE party, they had a buffet with entertainment. The entertainment included a Moroccan singer, DJ, and belly dancer. The food tasted very good, and the baklava was a tasty combination with the Persian tea.

Ok so I had a pickup order. And it was definitely one of the worst persian food i have had. The kebabs were so tough and rubbery. And i am not even talking beef/pork here. Just plain ol’ chicken. So they definitely have a long way to go. So no definitely not one of the places I am coming back to!

Amazing food and service. Great atmosphere and very welcoming. I’ve had Persian food from restaurants around the world and Lotus ranks the best so far. The kabob kooobideh is grilled to perfection, I highly recommend giving it a try.

Koobideh was cooked to perfection! Super juicy and tasty. Bonjon was also amazing. Add some of their yogurt for an awesome mix. Water was never empty either. Pretty amazing service!

I have visited this place twice. Like always in new Persian restaurants, I check out their Koobideh first and Lotus was no exception. I liked their Koobideh and other meals. We also tried their Tahdig with Ghormeh Sabzi which was great. Salad Shirazi was tasty and Baklava Cake was delicious specially with tea. Their staff were kind and friendly. I have had a great experience at this restaurant and will definitely go back. I recommend this place to whoever loves Persian food or wants to try it for the first time.

I love Persian food. I love this Persian food. If your dining in, the décor is understated, the people are kind and as I said earlier«I love this Persian food».(4) star absolutely.(no Valet parking or Live music –1star) But it’s the service and the forethought into the business they are running, where they lose their(4) star. And, if you want to count on that business or restaurant for perhaps future client lunches or holiday parties, but they seem to have a repeated problem in a certain area(service –understaffing) then I’m starting to think, I may not be able to count on this restaurant to show off well?!? I’m not a patient woman, unless it’s something I want! Good Persian food is what I wanted. So the fact that it took me(4) attempts to get just a menu and the final time I tried I happened to get the owner Sherry on the line, I felt all would be forgiven. But, it’s the details where I see if people shine or fail. First, after I told Sherry my woes of attempting to getting a menu, she was sympathetic but, then started to hang up the call and seemed a little unsettled to have to stay on the call and help me with the menu. I think she was too quick to give up an $ 80 ticket for the day. And Mind you, it was 2:30 on a Tuesday, there was no rush in the restaurant(I know because I happen to have someone who is around the restaurant and verified it for me). Once Sherry realized I intended to stay on the line and order for pick up, she was quite quick and enthusiastic to go through her menu, terrific! But I kept asking her just to identify the protein, I don’t know Farzi, so hibittizu kafta, makes about as much sense as Shocka Zulu, does. Finally, I said I needed(4) complete meals, she offered to have ready family style, which was great. But, when my Father in Law got home with the food I realized we had only enough meat protein for(3). I called to go over it but, it really couldn’t be handled over the phone. So, with a big sigh, I have to say the experience really is what I have come to expect from this type of restaurant. Exceedingly nice people. Excellent food. Scrambled, laid back, lackadaisical communication. Maybe I’ll try one more time. If they make it, it appears their dining in never near capacity.

They are getting better. Quickly. We had some guests over and we ordered the barg and chicken kebob. They delivered everything on time and as promised. Their barg is very very good. Their musir yogurt has fresh shallots in them which is not good. Overall had a great experience and I’m glad I decided to give them another try. I’ll highly recommend this place. I’ll dine in more for sure.

I went with my friend for lunch! The lunch special was the draw. And the food was good. The ambience was really good!

We were looking forward to trying a new Persian Restaurant but it left a fairly bad taste in my mouth(literally & figuratively). We had reserved for a party of 15 and they seemed totally short-handed. The masto moosir tasted funny. At first I thought it was just my taste buds but then I asked a couple of other people at the table and they said the same thing. The tea hadn’t brewed all the way when it was served so they had to bring new tea out. The food was average and I was expecting much better quality having read the reviews. Doubt will be going back again.

The owners are very helpful in guiding entrée selection. Be sure to ask for their help. The Persian kabobs are much more subtle in flavor than other middle eastern kabobs. Enjoy!

What a treat! We stumbled upon Lotus for dinner and enjoyed a great meal. The hubby and I shared the Mirza gasemi and the borg and were very pleased. The eggplant was so smoky and flavorful and the lamb was tender and juicy. The restaurant itself is beautiful inside with a casual ambiance and the staff also very friendly. They offer take out and even have a private dining room for parties. We will definitely be back!

Everyone loves their kabob… barg(lamb), chicken/beef combo and the salmon. Disappointed with the flavor of one of their specialty dishes #4.

It’s a Friday night and after a tough week, I just wanted to get some take out and watch Netflix«Chef’s Table»(I watched the Niki Nakayama episode — pretty awesome story). Anyways, I called in my order and it was ready as promised. It should’ve been because the restaurant was empty as I picked up my order at 5:45pm. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed that the table and place settings were very professionally and tastefully laid out. The décor is very nice as well. Looks like someone put some thought into this restaurant. The lady who greeted me was nice enough and brought my food out after confirming my order. When she brought it out, I was underwhelmed. It seemed awfully small for a dinner order. So off I went with food in hand. When I got home, I turned on Netflix and took out a real place and silverware — and then took a pic for you folks. A few disappointments came to mind: 1) no bread and 2) a half a tomato. Now I’m sure you guys and gals who read my reviews are probably sick of me referring back to Los Angeles restaurants, but any Mediterranean /Persian /Armenian, etc. restaurant will always give you flat bread and a full tomato. My first thought when I saw the half tomato was«cheap» and then«ran out of space, so we’ll only give you half». But alas, a man has to eat so I plated the food on my real plate and went to work :) So I forgot to mention that whenever I go to a Med, Persian restaurant for the first time, I always judge them by their koobieh kebab but also the rice. First, the rice was light and flluffy with light saffron’d rice. It was very good. Not oily at all like some of the reviews said. I love this kind of rice over Korean rice which is sticky, dense and heavy. Next the half tomato. The tomato was nicely grilled and not charred to death. I tasted a light hint of salt on it, which i really like. Good job on the tomato. Now I’m seeking the other half! Lastly the koobideh: it’d say it was nicely seasoned too. I’ve had some koobideh where it wasn’t seasoned at all and just tasted bland. The meat was juicy enough and definitely not overcooked. The chef did a good job on this meal. One thing I really disliked was the take out Sumac: it didn’t taste good and worse yet, it was so gritty it was unpleasant to eat. Maybe what they have in the restaurant is of better quality. But I really don’t use Sumac that much, so it’s not a deal breaker for me. I’m very happy though that I found yet another good restaurant within walking distance. I definitely plan on returning for a dine-in visit.

The food is top notch. Quite tasty, great décor, happy with all of it. My concern is the service. Don’t get me wrong, people are as nice as can be– but we were served 2nd to the others around us. We waited and waited and waited for water, for tea, for wine glasses, for the check. I understand if you are short staffed but when others are being served after us and we were seated before them– It definitely makes us feel like second class citizens. There is money to be spent and we would love to spend it here. Just want to be treated like everyone else. Ohh, we came on Persian New Years which may have been part of the reason for the slow service but please, have it be slow for everyone!!!

We’ve been to Lotus three times now. I’m so over due for this review! It’s true they say, «First impression is very important». Came here with two friends for a birthday. The owner, Shawn, was absolutely very welcoming, pleasant, professional and so kind. That smile never left his face! We ordered Sultani, Joojeh kabob and Bagheli polo with Lamb Shank! OMG! The three of us shared our food and we were pleasantly surprised… they were all incredibly delicious! The second time I came here was to attend yet another birthday party and there were 10 of us. What impressed me the most, besides their tasty, yummy, delish and amazing food, was the service! Not once we asked for the waiter or requested refills for our drinks! The third time I came with a friend and we both ordered Koobideh. We didn’t have to ask to make them juicy OR do not burn them! Just like when you go to a restaurant in Iran. And of course, everything else we have ordered from Lotus such as Mast-O-Moseer, dolmeh, Kash-e-bademjoon, etc were delicious! This place by far is the best Persian Cuisine in the area and I highly recommend it. I am really impressed not only by the food & service but also by the décor and how much work and effort they had to put in to make this a very unique restaurant. And for this I’m very appreciative. We’re blessed and lucky to have Lotus. Shawn you rock! Thank you for making our experience a memorable & unforgettable one every time we visit. Wish you success throughout the year!

The restaurant is absolutely breath taking, I love the color palettes and the gorgeous yellow orange reddish glass centerpiece light that looks like it belongs at a fine art gallery. It’s in an older shopping center in Pleasanton however the restaurant itself is modern and beautiful. Between three of us we spent over a $ 140 for lunch. When we went they didn’t have lunch specials and said they were working on a lunch menu so we ordered off the menu they had. This review is based on our first visit. The waiter had very little knowledge so the chef came out and clarified what the ingredients and dishes were to give us some clarity because everything seemed pricey for lunch. They only use organic free-range meat and most dishes are gluten free, and all the produce is organic per chef. It made sense why the price point is what it is because of the quality of the ingredients from what he told us. We ordered a ton of food We started off with two Greek yogurt dishes. The one with the eggplant was pretty good. Bread was served cold, it was a thin flatbread type of bread. I believe around $ 6 per yogurt dish We each ordered a garden salad. Basic salad-cucumber, tomatoes and lettuce, large plate but small portion, very fresh. I think it was $ 6 – 7 per plate. The plates didn’t come with any veggies, basically meat and rice, so if you want veggies order a salad or a veggie dish. * Chenjeh $ 22 — beef marinated in saffron, spices and yogurt. Very good, flavorful and juicy. The portion was pretty good size. * Ghoemei Shabzi $ 14 — Beef in herbs, spinach and red kidney bean. It was flavorful and it had huge pieces of beef. It was ok, the meat was a little overcooked. Small portion. * Barg $ 22 Lamb with onions and spices, very flavorful. We ordered a rice dish and I don’t recall the name, it had a chicken drumstick and red little berries, not sure what kind of berries but it was delicious. The rice dish is large however it came with one drumstick only. Can’t recall the price for the rice. We ordered their signature dessert, the exotic dessert. Tasted like an orange candy. We also ordered Persian ice cream and baklava. $ 5 – 6 each. I think once they are open for another couple months the service will get better and we might give them a try again. They have a patio outside as well with heat lamps. Décor — 5 Stars Food — 4 stars Service — 2 Stars
