Customer service is good. Frames selection is not that great. I went there with my prescription so can’t tell about the eye exam part.
Sears Optical is an out-​of-​network provider for VSP vision insurance. So be aware of that because they will tell you that they accept VSP which is technically correct but could be misleading. For example, in case of VSP in network providers you may have $ 150 benefit coverage for frames but only $ 70 when you go to an out of network provider like Sears.

It is so refreshing to encounter people who care about what they are doing and like what they are doing. Mike and Dr. Young ate professional, friendly, and knowledgable. I actually had such a fabulous time getting my eyes checked!
Dr. Young gave me so much awesome information about my eyes and eyes in general. You can really tell that what he does is his passion. I recommend that anyone who needs an eye exam to go see him, you will leave feeling very informed and confident with your prescription.
After you receive your prescription head over to the frames section and see Mike! He will tell you what lenses are Going to be best and adjust everything to perfection! Very patient and kind!
I only wish I could receive this quality of service everywhere. Kudos to you both. And thank you

Dr. Young was very knowledgeable about the products and explained the tests and their purpose well. He and the staff were kind and helpful. Dr. Young tried several alternatives with me to ensure I was getting the perfect match. Good frame selection. Takes 1.5 weeks to get glasses though. Low, competitive price.

I have been seeing (no pun intended) Dr. Young and his staff for 5 years now and all I can say is that they are all amazing. Dr. Young is so thorough and he explains everything he is doing and what the results mean. His staff takes the time to make sure that customers get the very best prices and the very best service. I am getting ready to use my 2011 vision care benefits before they expire and I wouldn’t even think of going anywhere else. I would recommend Dr. Young and the opticians at Sears Pleasanton to anyone!

I just went in for my first pair of glasses and the optician Mike was amazing. He was so helpful, especially with pricing since I’m on a budget. He was very patient with me and answered all my questions. My glasses came in right away and he adjusted them right then and there, he even stayed a little later because I came right at closing on a Sunday.
Thank you Mike! I think I will never go anywhere else for glasses.

Hard to find, but well worth the effort.
I’m new in town, and really needed new glasses. I called the first week in December, and they got me in the same day. Everyone was fantastic, and I had me new glasses in time for Christmas.
If you’re shopping, or even just thinking about it, stop by for a visit. If your old glasses need a quick tuneup, stop by and say ‘hi’. These people are so nice! And especially if you have a child, a senior or someone with special needs — very patient caring attention to every person.
Top of the line service all the way.

yay! TO YOU! Dr. Young. I agree with Candace, he is the best! It was my first time visiting him, and I was running late due to traffic on the 580! booooo traffic at 3pm? so annoying! horrible first impression.
Anyways, Dr. Young was very understanding and was very through. He explained everything and in detail. He even talked to me about the deals that were going on. I got 2 frames for $ 200…not as good a deal as Candace… but I’m planning on using these for the next 2 years.
I forgot the name of the staff but the one African American lady was super helpful and even fitted me perfectly.
Plus! it only took one week to get both my frames in! wooohooo I CAN SEEEE! WEEEEEEEE!

I love Dr. Young! The whole staff is wonderful and provide the best customer service. They truly want the best for you and explore all options. Dr. Young is very personable and always explains what is going on and what looks best. I love the large selection of eye glasses as well as the wonderful discounts. They have a promotion for 2 eyeglasses plus lenses for 99. Can’t beat that!
