There are so many good things I can say about this place. Their beer was fantastic and inexpensive. I love the fact that some of the proceeds go to charities like Alzheimers. The owners sat down and talked to us for a little bit and were very nice. The bar tender was very knowledgable about the beer. My husband and I ordered samples($ 2 a piece) to try a bunch of different beers since it was our first O’so experience. Our eyes were a little bigger than our stomach but out of almost 15 samples between the two of us we liked every one of them! Great place to sit and have some drinks with friends and the tour was a lot of fun!

So much beer. All yummy beer! Even beer I don’t like is yummy. Served right at the brewery. Only thing missing is they need a kitchen for food. But over all nice. Beer!

What started out as a homebrew shop with a really rough brewery operation has matured into a really nice Central Wisconsin craft beer destination. My parents come here frequently, and I see why. They’ve got a ton of taps, many of which are their house beers, but frequently they have a great selection of other Wisconsin beers such as the ever-so-delicious New Glarus Belgian Red cherry beer or even nearby Central Waters beers. But their beers certainly hold their own. Their Nightrain stout is a very solid stout, especially when on nitro or aged in bourbon barrels. Their double IPA is well balanced yet very much a hop-head beer. But it’s their Funky Lady sour stout that has me raving about them. A sour stout you say? Yes, and it’s beautiful. If you’ve ever had Jester King’s Funkmetal, this is as close s you’re going to get. O’so, you’ve come a long way, and I’m sure glad you did.

The atmosphere left something to be desired, but the beer was the best I’d ever experienced in Wisconsin. The barrel aged bourbon stout was absolutely fantastic. I had the walleye for dinner and it was pretty decent. Again, it was really the beer that sold it for me. Also, the bartender was very knowledgeable about the beer he was serving.

Disappointed by what we found at Steven’s Point Brewery, I set the GPS for O’so and found a nice brew-pub in what looked like a pretty new strip mall. This was just what we were looking for, a place to try local beers. I would go back here any time. We were treated like they wanted us there and they are clearly passionate about what they are making. Ms T went straight for the 95IBU Hop Whoopin’ and I had the Dominator Dopplebock. We enjoyed both. They both showed complexity, depth and balance that we look for. They have a nice selection and clearly know what they are doing. Our bar tender was a nice guy. He patiently answered our questions and was friendly and knowledgeable. You would think they would get tired of explaining the beers over and over again but he didn’t seem to mind. If I lived in Steven’s Point, this would be my place. We got a couple of glasses as souvenirs and headed to El Mezcal for dinner.

This is the best brewery I have ever been. The owners are genuine beer enthusiasts and have a great appreciation for all their customers. The beers are excellent and the creativity is evident in the beers. I have been to breweries in Oregon and Washington and O’so blows them away on their worst day

I really like the newest addition to the microbrew scene in the Stevens Point area. Now that O’so has moved to its new space, they’ve opened up a spacious tap room that is just awesome. Walking in, you are immediately exposed to the smells of brewing beer. The brewing operations are viewable through the entire right side of the tap room through ceiling high windows, which is better than the glimpses you get at other microbreweries. There are sooo many beers to try. I liked the mix of brews from all over the state(such as New Glarus, Red Eye, Point, etc.) However, b/c we were at the O’so taproom, we all tried to stick with their beer. I had the Hopdinger Pale Ale and The Big O, which were both excellent. The Big O was a hit in our group as were the Rusty Red and Dominator Dobblebock. Such a wide variety on the menu(and it appears that they switch it up — seasonally, perhaps?) that you’ll have to visit quite a few times to take them all in. Not, that I’m complaining :) Very cool space, nice vibe, incredibly knowledgable employees… highly recommended for all beer lovers.

So they just opened this new space and its amazing. The tap room has 40 draft beers available every day. The beers are not limited to just their own which is interesting for small brewery. They had selections from all over WI and they knew just as much about the other beers as their own. Also, the fact that the beers were $ 3.50 each was amazing. The staff were beyond friendly and the owner and his wife were mingling with the patrons while I was there. They were very interesting and explained a great deal about the WI beer business I never would have imagined. Definitely a place you must stop in if you’re in the area.
