The staff is friendly and the food is decent for what it is. I mean it is a Crackel Barrell and if you go there with reasonable expectations you will be happy. They move you in and out quick which is nice esp. when they are busy. The country store is always cool to look around in. Service is usually good and staff is friendly. They have a ton of tables too. I like the grilled chicken platter. It comes with 3 sides and is good value for the money. I wish they had waffles for breakfast and apparently they have omelettes but they are lousy. Food is average but I do not go here looking for my favorite food or the best meal Ive ever eaten.

Upon entering the restaurant on a Saturday arnd noon we were told it was a 40 minute wait. So we decided to walk arnd the tight congested store that was filled with all kinds of things old, vintage, and new. There were some section with discounted items 49 an 50% off. We came across a checker table so we played a game while waiting to be called. So after abt 25 mins we were called an brght to the center of the dining room as we stood there waiting for a table to be cleaned. Why not have it clean before you call people to be seated was my thgts. Anyways all of the chairs are made of wood an are not comfortable as I preferred a booth but they didn’t have. I ordered the Big Mommas Pancakes with Pecans, scrambled eggs, turkey sausage and coffee. I have to say the food came out right away an the food was deelish but the coffee was the worst coffee I’ve ever had. For a place that specializes in breakfast you woul assume they have a decent coffee, nope it taste like water cream an sugar. Being a avid coffee drinker I look forward to a good cup. The experience was ok, the waiter was ok, the food was good, but the coffee was terrible which is why I gave 3 stars.

This is a really good Cracker Barrel. My personal favorite north of the Mason-Dixon line locations have been in Sturbridge, MA and Horseheads, NY, but this location certainly rivals Sturbridge. I went for breakfast with nine other family members on the Sunday after Christmas. The place was crazy, just hopping with people, but everything was 100% fine. The wait staff worked very hard to get a series of complicated orders right even when we were not paying very much attention to them(one of our party actually wandered away from the table in the middle of the order and out waitress went and found him to take his order). They served warm syrup, gave everyone biscuits and kept all of the coffees and sodas and waters topped up.

Well let me just say it was definitely worth the hour drive. I work at a Cracker Barrel in NJ so I know how things are supposed to be ran and I was thoroughly impressed with the service. Upon entering, the hostess was great and made sure we got in promptly. The only complaint I had was the way that management was telling the hostesses to call parties up when tables were not ready. So now to the cream of the crop the meal and service. Our server Bridgett was very prompt and great. She is just like me when I am on the job. She brewed new coffee for us when our first batch was mop water and took time out to interact with us. The food was so flavorful. Honestly, better than my store’s food. There was something completely different. But I would like to give them props for everything they did. Wonderful job Conshohocken store.

My boyfriend and I wanted breakfast for dinner so we came here. We were barely acknowledged when I asked for a table for two. I asked if they served breakfast all day and The three girls working the front were actually rude to me and my boyfriend. We sat down near the kitchen and it stunk! Ew! The menus and table were covered in grime. After 30 seconds we left and will never be back.

Very standard fast food fare with sit down service. Clean and spacious place with attentive staff. Quick service with a smile. The original Cracker Barrel Restaurants were just in the south along interstate highways. The chain has been sold and expanded but has retained its southern, kitschy roots. You can get grits, southern fried steak, biscuits and gravy, etc. They all have a corny gift shop as you enter and rocking chairs(for sale and made in China) on the porch. Food is pretty«meh» but you get a consistent product from restaurant to restaurant. Good for groups and kids. Place is big so junior can lose it or start a food fight and no one will care! Tends to be a favorite of older folks because of the value. Not a place for free range chicken or hummus on pita! Hipsters should stay away! Food more like a Walmart with okay food. Menu is Paula Deen light with recipes with lots of tasty but artery hardening ingredients. If you like country and western music, you will love this place!

They missed calling our name, and was told«We called it» Funny, never heard it. Everyone else is called twice. We were given a table in a poor location. How can you screw up breakfast? The service was good. But plate was cold. Cold eggs, grits, gravy and muffins. Barely cooked hash browns. There are much better places around. Won’t be back.

Defn not a healthy option insight but oh so good and cheap! I got the chicken fried chicken for $ 9.99 and came with 3 sides and biscuits, unheard of! Their sides aren’t big but very delicious. I recommend the mashed potatoes, fried apples and sweet potato casserole. You can tell some things are not«home made» but when it’s so good, you don’t care.

A friend and I had breakfast recently at the Cracker Barrel. I hadn’t been there in quite a while but after the first five minutes, I remembered why. The noise level was so high that we could barely hear ourselves speak! The atmosphere was anything but relaxing with all the noise, commotion, babies crying and kids yelling, people trying to talk over the top of that, and so forth. I ordered a very simple breakfast of two eggs, bacon, and toast and I must admit it came out very quickly from the kitchen. The eggs were super tiny, and quite dry. The toast reminded me of stale, dried out bread but the bacon was done to a turn and quite delicious. Our server was a pleasant young woman and was very attentive. But even with all that, I came out of there feeling hungry, and $ 15 poorer. The thought of paying $ 10 for two little tiny eggs and two skinny strips of bacon with dried out toast more or less ruined the experience for me. However, I was a good customer and did leave a five dollar tip. All in all, I was disappointed and it will be quite a while before I go back Honestly, I think breakfast at McDonald’s is lots better! At least their McMuffin sandwiches, etc. are satisfying.

I’m from New York City and there aren’t any Cracker Barrels around where I live, so when my friends suggested that we dined here for dinner, I was reluctant to try it. Upon walking into the venue, the first thing any diner would have to encounter is the little shop at the front of the store. This shop sells small goods ranging from candies to small trinkets. You can also pay here when you’re finished with your meal. Thought that was pretty neat. When I walked into the dining area itself, I noticed they tried to make it feel like home as much as possible. Many tables and decorations on the wall were present. As for the service, our server Justine was helpful and courteous. She was even cool with the fact that we came at 9:40pm while closing time was 10:00. As for the food itself, I had the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes, corn and Mac and cheese. The gravy that accompanied the chicken and mashed potatoes really brought out the savory taste. The best thing about about the meal? It was only $ 10! Tasty and inexpensive. Too bad I was too full to finish everything. Would I be back? Sure!

Please let me say what a wonderful time by grandkids and I had at Cracker Barrel. The meal was just splendid and the hash brown casserole is almost as good as mine ;) The meal was exactly what they needed for a quick sugar rush and quiet afternoon! Much better than the NJ location across the Ben Franklin — Everyone is rude and talks like they are in some Marlon Brando picture… As always, the breakfast never disappoints. –Grandma Grady (A Very Happy)

Horrible noisy experience as an adult man at the table next to me is watching LOUD videos on his phone. Third time this has happened as staff just walk by the man over and over. I’m done with this place. It has taken a serious nose dive. They lost my business. I would give it zero stars if I could. My server, Alberto, is the best I’ve ever had, but the ambience is gone.

Cracker Barrel has a wide variety of menu options available and breakfast can be had from open until close. Fortunately, I don’t have any near my house so it always feels like a vacation treat whenever I get a chance to get to one. I’m not going to say the food is awesome, but it is pretty good, and a great bang for your buck. It’s definitely a family friendly atmosphere and whichever one I’ve visited I have always had a pleasurable experience with the staff, they certainly treat you with that whole«service with a smile» thing. The food I would give 3 ½ stars, but the friendly service and the smells you get hit with when you walk through the door into a «country store» bumps it to up 4 stars in my book. They sell plenty of candy, scented candles, toys and games from yesteryear which causes me to always walk out satisfied and happy.

Fried chicken Sunday dinners! This place is consistently great and the service is spot on! I don’t know how these servers are so cheerful, but they are consistently bubbly! Plenty of choices for everyone on the menu and I don’t think I’ve ever finished everything on my plate!

Blah! Service was ok. You enter in the«gift shop» area and make your way to the hostess she seats you in a cramp area that feels like a porch in southern Alabama or something(guess that’s what their going for) but we were way too close to the next table and for the price… I could cook this stuff at home. Nothing special

Country atmosphere, very cute! Not quiet at all, but a busy type of noise that isn’t obnoxious. Only thing is we had to wait a bit for our food-which isn’t too bad but I really think they should give you a little something to snack on while you wait. Biscuits, bread, anything. I got catfish, both grilled and fried. Mac and cheese, sweet potato and coleslaw. My daughter got praline pecan fried chicken salad. It was absolutely delicious. Best comfort food I’ve ever had!

Of course a vegan knows going in that there’s really nothing much to eat at a Cracker Barrel, but you won’t starve. There are a few boring accidentally vegan items that the staff thinks of as dietetic or allergen-free: oatmeal, grits, hash browns, steamed carrots or broccoli, etc. Read the menu carefully and ask questions. Remember that if it has any cholesterol at all, it contains an animal product. A vegetarian who eats eggs can find a lot more options, obviously. My waitress was very helpful and prompt, and made no mistakes, not at all like some of the servers described by other Unilocalers. My omnivore companion liked his«Grilled Chicken n’ Fresh Vegetable Salad» well enough though it was only an ordinary green salad with some corn added as the vegetable. The food was a bit pricey, we both thought, and not really worth the money. We browsed the retro country store listening to bluegrass gospel and Dolly Parton singing, «Oh the pain of loving you! Oh the misery I go through!» The store was way more entertaining than the restaurant. If you care about buying US-made look sharp, because much of the old-timey patriotic kitsch is made in China. Right now, early fall, they’re stocking Halloween costumes and gearing up for Christmas, oh joy! Overall, I consider this visit a one-time deal. I won’t be stopping along the road at any other Cracker Barrels.

The food is okay. Reasonable price. My husband really likes this place so we tend to order some takeout from this place quite a bit. Our takeout orders got messed up almost every time! It’s so bad that it became a joke in our family. I always double check in the parking lot before I leave, but my husband doesn’t always do that. 8 times out of 10 he came back with a totally different dish! So please BEWARE! Check your food before you go home!

What a gawd awful place to eat. We had just spent the morning at the crayola factory and we were all hungry. I remembered Cracker Barrel as a kid and thought it would be fun to revisit it. MAJORFAIL We were quickly seated and that’s the extent of our positive experience. Our server took her time taking our order. I placed the kid’s orders first and they took forever to come out. The place wasn’t busy. Next, we finally placed our orders(the kids were practically done at this point). My sister in law and I ordered the same thing– oven baked chicken breast. I don’t know how this happened, but my dish was the last one out of the kitchen. So, they(SIL and my husband) ate their entire meal and I watched. Finally, mine was brought out but it was so uncomfortable to eat knowing they were done. I was *thisclose* to cancelling my order. The food isn’t good– period. My husband’s steak was well-done andhe asked for it medium well. Service was awful. I’m not sure who’s fault the crappy timing of the meal was– the server or the cook. I won’t be back.

Had to come up to Plymouth Meeting on some weekend business. Figured this was as good a place as any to grab a quick bite before heading home. I just don’t get enough of Cracker Barrel in my life. This is the closest one to me, and to be honest with all of the diner choices I have in my life, why would I drive up here more often to come to a place like this? You see, Cracker Barrel is the perfect«we might as well try it while we are here» place. I don’t know many people who go out of their way just to go to one. I suppose if one were closer to me, I would go more often. After all, you can’t beat the prices here. But of the breakfast sampler I tried, I probably enjoyed about half of the items while the others were just ok. The biscuits were good but the gravy didn’t wow me. The fried apples were tasty, but the grits underwhelmed. The bacon and sausage were decent, but the ham was too salty and fatty. The store is a Republican’s fantasy store, with all of the gospel and Chevy truck hats and stuff with inspirational sayings and what not. I imagine Sarah Palin would be quite comfortable here. Despite all of that, I kind of like the old style soda choices and some of the knick knacks. It’s a fine choice if you don’t have to drive too far to get to it. And I finally beat the peg game, though I admit that I googled the solution.

A refaire!
