Leo’s Coney Island

Solid Coney Island. We’ve ordered here several times for carry out. They have gotten our order correct every time. The food has been exactly what you’d expect from a Coney Island. Friendly staff greets you when you get there and they always seem to be cleaning.
I recommend.

Great Coney restaurant. The food is always fantastic. The wait staff is very nice and friendly. The menu is huge… there is so much to choose from! I would recommend anyone to try it!

We order from here regularly — or I should say we USED to as I will never order from this location again. Called in a carry out order and when I got back home with it part of the order was missing. So I called back and the person realized the mistake but I had to drive all the way back and when I got there they still had not made the food — as if I am going to wait when I’ve already had to drive there twice! The owner only offered to give me my money back for the item I paid for but never got! Gee thanks! I said «I just want my money back and I’m insulted that that is all you offer me for my trouble.» The owner started yelling at me saying «It’s busy, she made a mistake. What do you want? Now get out and don’t come back!» SERIOUSLY??? Yes people make mistakes, but it’s how you correct them that counts. Apparently I should pay the price for her mistake? I never even got an apology for the mistake or my trouble! What ever happened to Customer Service?! If I had been dining in offering to pay for the item that was problematic would have been acceptable — however I drove there TWICE and that’s how they treat a paying customer? The food was always fine considering where you’re dining/​getting carry out from but would give no stars for this incident if I could!

I get take out from this coney every Sunday. Their staff is always super friendly and pleasant. Their food is delicious too! I am ADDICTED to the chicken kabob with tzaziki sauce. Whenever I call in, they always make sure to clarify that I know i am calling the Sheldon location as opposed to Ann Arbor location, which i think is really nice, since sometimes customers can pick the wrong location by accident. Even though on Sundays they are super swamped, my order is always ready right on time. My husband loves the veggie pita and we also both adore the chili (with cheese and onions of course).

As far as coney islands are concerned, this one is top of the line. I haven’t been disappointed by them once. The only reason they get three instead of four stars is because while the waitresses work hard, the place seems to be a little understaffed for the volume of people that are usually in the restaurant. This makes for long wait times. The food is great though and we continue to eat here regularly.

I don’t see why anyone is complaining. Went here for breakfast. It was pretty good for a Coney Island, all the staff was super nice and I got my food quickly. No complaints here!

We have stopped by a few times now and have been happy with our meals. Wait staff was attentive and we were seated quickly each time. It’s the basic Leo’s menu. Easy going meals.

Unilocalers were right its not special, not terrible though if you are on the go. I had the chicken gyro, and it was the usual level i can make at home except im sure it wasnt as healthy, try leos coney on ann arbor road

We had a couple of Coneys with fries and were satisfied with the lunch and the service. We’ve also had the breakfast special with eggs, sausage, hash browns and toast and were equally satisfied. All the Leo’s restaurants I’ve been in were clean and a positive dining experience and this location was no exception. A solid 3 stars and I’ll be back…

As far as coney places go, this one’s an A-​OK place. Steady service, good quality coney food (and generous salads) and importantly, a clean place. Homemade rice pudding is really good.

As far as restaurants go, I’m definitely not a fan of Coney Islands, but this place wasn’t anywhere near impressive. I’d rate it a 1.5 because I save the 1 star rating for dreadful experiences. Don’t go here. It’s just not worth it. Go to the Coney Island in downtown Plymouth if you want a Coney Island.
Service was slow and unimpressive. We had to seat ourselves. Employee attire added to the VERY cheap image of the place. They could have been nicer, and you have to walk to the counter to pay, which I’m not a big fan of.
Food was bad. I don’t eat when my friend brings me to these places, but she was highly unimpressed. The saganaki was made terribly and apparently they «don’t have the license» to light it on fire at the table for you, which is maybe 55% of the reason to get it. The pita bread was probably bought at the grocery store nearby a few weeks before…

Food was good, but when I went to do a carry out order, the cook was making my cony’s with his bare hands. GROSS! How expensive is it to buy ******* gloves?!
Even fast food joints use gloves.

Typical Leo’s fare-​good, fast service, reasonable price. Katie was very friendly and courteous.

I like coney islands. I miss coney islands. I want a coney island near me in Minnesota. Although I suppose if they were around I would be a lot rounder than I currently am. However, on my last trip I’m happy to report I am now down to one coney with everything and a small Greek salad from 2 coneys with everything, fries and a salad.
Everytime I am back in Michigan a coney island is a must because they are delicious.
