The previous reviewer is right. The owner, «Tish», treats people terribly. Her business practices are also shady. I dropped some clothes off for consignment with her staff one evening and when I followed up on them, she claimed I never brought my clothes in! WHATWASEVENWORSE, is that the owner said she would double check her records just to prove that I did not bring any clothes in and call me back. She never called back. I followed up with her once more and heard the same story: she would check with her staff to prove that I did not leave my clothes with her and she would call me back. She has not called back, nor did she intend to. The owner has questionable ethics, and poor customer service. Go to the other consignment store in town for better clothes and better treatment.

My daughter enjoys this shop. I see the comments below but that has not been our experience. I have actually had the shop tell me that a couple of the items were a bit outdated and that is why they did not take them. They were generous with the big ticket items that we brought in to trade. I only bring items in good condition. It is important at a re-boutique to careful look at your selections. We have found high quality items here with fair prices.

Twice every year, my best friend and I make the weekend trip up to Plymouth, NH to visit friends. Off the Hanger has been a staple in it for the last few years, and many of my favorite shirts and my very favorite bag have been purchased on our semi-annual trips. Today, I met who I assume to be the owner — what a horror. She treated me and my girlfriend like criminals, and breathed down our necks the entire time we were in the store, we knew it was because she assumed we were going to steal from her, but continued shopping anyway. She was overzealous about the garments to hanger ratio after we left the fitting room(seriously, how many times can you count to seven), then right in the middle of when I was trying to overcome her negative energy by telling her how much we look forward to visiting her store when we come to Plymouth, she interrupted me to ask to see inside of my friend’s bag. YOUAREKIDDINGMERIGHT? I walked right out at that point, before having to turn around to give her a piece of my mind. The worst I have ever been treated in ANY establishment in my life, all for a $ 12 pre-worn dress? Please, I’ll bring my business elsewhere. I will NEVER return to this store — the clothes are not what they used to be and the prices have gotten to be outrageous for a casual consignment shop. And the owner simply doesn’t deserve your hard earned cash — she’ll only spend it on more garbage outdated polyester, anyway.
