I absolutely love Plymouth’s library. Their DVD collection is amazing as well as their immense space for individual study! Plymouth library uses the money from fees and fines to pour back into their ever growing collection! Librarians are friendly and helpful. Definitely one of my favorite libraries here in Northern Indiana!

The DVD collection is magnificent for a small rural city — plenty of indie and foreign films alongside the usual stuff. The A/V librarian actually knows film and gladly brings in weirdo documentaries, Criterion Collection titles, and more. We’re constantly impressed. The book selection is pretty average — a bit low on modern literary fiction and creative nonfiction, but of course they have to keep local taste in mind. The same with the music section, though they do have some deeper selections here and there. It’s mostly representative of radio airplay rather than challenging and significant material, but they carry a few good CDs here and there. The library also offers free internet access, both via wi-fi for users’ own laptops and a section of public computers. They also offer free conference and study rooms that can come in handy for those of us who sometimes meet with students with certain travel/schedule needs. All in all, the library is one of the best spots in town, as a public library should be.

Growing up in Plymouth you grow up thinking that there is not alot to do. Plymouth Public Library provided me with a window to the world. I was able to go in and read their great selection of both fiction and non-fiction. Also it has hands down one of the best selections of DVD’s around. At a very low cost of $ 1 a movie, free wifi, and overall great ambience for both adult, teens, and children alike the library provides a place for a great community.
