I want to begin by saying I really like Potbelly and have been enjoying their sandwiches for years. I have been to numerous locations in numerous cities over the years. For some reason this location consistently provides poor service, is very slow and the employees seem completely disinterested in helping the customer. By contrast, a few miles away in Maple Grove, the employees seem to actually care. I can only assume the difference is the management.

Always fast and efficient service, usually friendly employees, good ingredients(better than Subway), always well prepared, and consistently good quality make this a good sub shop. I always get food to go, winter or summer, and it’s always good.

Just overheard employee yelling about hating job and not getting paid well. Then, he wrapped the tirade up with conservative talking points on minimum wage. All spoken way too loudly and angrily. Yikes! Time for an employee grievance meeting, Potbelly’s. Maybe consider paying your employees a bit better?

We just left this place and what a disappointment! It was our very first time and will be our last. We were the only 2 couples in line to order at 2:30pm for a late lunch and the service took us 13 minutes to even pay. So much for 8 minute service. We didn’t even care so much about the lack of quick service but the counter help was rude and not friendly at all. We watched her make the malt with barely swishing water in the blender from the previous customers order before making our order, to which besides gross, it was a soupy concoction. The ice cream sandwich was so runny our friend had to use cookies for dipping into the mess like it was milk. As we left, we overheard the same counter help argue with a customer as she placed an order. So very dissatisfied PotBelly! The 3 mottos you claim were all huge failures. Food? Ehhh it was good, but with service like that their is plenty of competition elsewhere for our money.

I only gave one star because of the nice boy working the front of the line. He was the only nice employee I encountered on October 17th2014 around 1:45pm. The rest of the employees at that time acted like ordering sandwiches put a burden on them. The way they acted towards their customers is completely inappropriate. I’m not one to believe in «the customer is always right» saying but acting as if making a malt for a customer is some big ordeal and then complaining about making your customer a malt to their face is not acceptable. Bottom line, if you want to eat here, expect a lot of scoffing from employees every time you order anything.

If you like sneezed-on condiments topping your sandwich eat here! I asked that the young woman who sneezed to please wash her hands and she did with a smirk. You would think that she would have done so automatically. Unfortunately the sandwich toppings couldn’t be sanitized as easily so I asked for fresh lettuce and mayo. Our sandwiches were thrown across the counter at my daughter and me. We asked for a tray to carry out food to the table(I had a walker so my daughter gad to carry everything) we were told they were all dirty. This was 2:30 on Monday and we were the only customers. The two persons working the counter bonded over a good laugh once we were seated. The least that I expect from an eating establishment is common sense hygiene. Plymouth Potbelly could offer flu shots at the door but how do you get over the gross factor? No thanks!

Wondering why I gave potbelly’s 5 stars! Well here it is you get big tasty sandwiches and malts that are to die for super fast! The line usually is long here for lunch but the workers bust their butt off to get it moving! This guy there seriously walked around in line taking orders and giving us free subs! Awesome right?! They even get live music from local artists to play covers?! Also this place is cheap sandwiches are like 5 $ and malts like 2 or 3 $! You get a lot for your dollar! Try it if you haven’t it’s awesome. I get the roast beef on a big with lettuce, mayo, jalapeños, oil, Italian seasoning and tomatoes! Yummmm!

The food here is SOOO much better than what you usually get at a fast food sandwich’y place. the service is what you usually get at a fast food sandwich’y place. I recommend the wreck sandwich on multigrain bread, the tuna sandwich or the uptown salad. & be sure to save room for a homemade shake or chewy/soft oatmeal chocolate chip cookie – they are to die for! *they sell their signature hot pickled vegetables in a cute glass jar to go, i always have them on hand. so delicious if you like spicy peppers!

This is a sandwich shop across from smashburger in a new strip mall in Plymouth. On their façade they have a sign saying their created from the original dive, but this place is far from a dive. More like a faux dive similar to the feel of a Cracker Barrel. It’s a sandwich shop, nothing real special about this place other than the fact that they have shakes. They make your sandwich and like Quiznos it’s toasted. I don’t like the fact that you can’t see any of the toppings while they make your sandwich like Subway does or Chipotle, it makes me feel like they’re trying to hide something, that and it’s harder for me to tell the person what I want on my sandwich. Prices are fair, I had a «Big» for $ 5 and change so about $ 6 bucks. The wreck I ordered was pretty good with the hot banana peppers and their house mustard and I liked the fact it was warm but there was nothing«Big» about this sandwich, it was probably the size of a Subway’s footlong. They have skinny and regular sizes as well, but I wouldn’t be ordering those unless I planned on being hungry. Their bread is a step up from Subway but not much and well… everything else is cold cuts so it’s pretty hard to screw that up. Overall, it’s a good sandwich shop with a nicer seating area compared to Subway/Quiznos, it’s more of a sit down restaurant feel but still quick serve.

Much like Smashburger(in the same shopping area), Potbelly is technically a chain, but there isn’t one in St. Louis, so for me it’s not really a chain. Otherwise, I wouldn’t Unilocal about it. :) This is a very solid sandwich joint. My boss, who is in Plymouth every month, makes it a point to visit Potbelly for a sandwich… which is how I got there. The restaurant is spacious and clean, and to top off the ambiance, there was a live guitarist playing some tunes. It was a nice place to go for a lunch on a work day. Good food and a mental massage from a local musician. I treated myself to the Italian sandwich(«Bigs» size), chips and a soda. The sandwich was great, and it was FILLING. If you’re not too hungry, stick with the Original size. The Bigs size is pushing it. It wasn’t the best sandwich ever, but it certainly was up there. I would definitely go back again.

A little more than I care to pay, but I’m pretty cheap. With that being said, it certainly was not outrageous pricing! And the sandwiches and soup are dang good. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area and looking for a GOOD sandwich shop!

Had a good chickpea salad here. Some good options & inexpensive too! $ 4 skinny sandwiches, etc.
