Have now been three times, and it’s been really good every time. They have redone the interior so there is now warmth and a good vibe, vs. the sterile environment of Eat Shop. The food has been consistently good, the service friendly, and the beers, wine, and cocktails very good. The«Dry Heat» burger is great, as is the Farro risotto. Finally a non-chain restaurant in Plymouth!

I’ve only been there for the happy hour so far, but we keep coming back because even the happy hour apps are amazing. They have a cayenne dry rub for their wings that is one of the best I’ve ever had. Great tap beer selection too. The service has consistently been top notch.

Stopped in for a beer and app at 7pm on a Wednesday night. Bar area was busy but we found two seats at the bar. Décor was nice. Sound level was perfect: nice buzz while still easy to talk to the person sitting next to you. Bartenders were personable, attentive, and seemed to be having fun. Nice beer list with a few beers from several local microbreweries. Interesting menu. Entrée prices in the $ 12 – 20 range. We ordered the cheese plate app which consisted of four cheeses, olives, mustard, apple-onion jelly, and focaccia. All of the elements were quite good by themselves but the combo seemed somehow strange. Mustard on a cheese plate? Bottom line: busy on a weekday evening, interesting menu to explore, and friendly bartenders will have me coming back again. Looks like Jakes has some new competition.

I’m really happy to finally have a good place, that isn’t a chain, close to home to go to. We like to sit at the bar and always receive top notch service! The bartenders are extremely friendly, remember us, know what we like to drink, and are always helpful at accommodating food modifications.(I have a lot of food allergies). As for food, everything is fresh, made to order, and always consistent. For apps we like the dry rub wings. The burgers on the menu are really good and portions are large. I typically get whatever weekly special they have at the time. A few weeks back they had a Vat 17 white cheddar burger that was amazing! I would love for it to be a permanent menu item(hint hint). Their gnocchi is another favorite of ours too. Overall the food has always been great, you really can’t go wrong with anything you order. The only thing we’ve had and not really liked was the chicken club and the complaint is that there is too much bread to meat ratio. Looking forward to this summer when the patio will be set up!!!

I really wanted to like Rock Elm more, but just wasn’t blown away. Honestly, probably more of a 3.5, but not quite a 4. The craft beer selection is top notch with 30 drafts to choose from. I’m sure they rotate these often throughout the year so big points there. They also have a really hip selection of cocktails and their wine selection(both glass and bottle) is quite nice too. Their bourbon selection is top notch. It is also a gorgeous and very open space. I found the food just ok… I liked the Mummus… and the Chicken Wings and Drummies hit the spot. The Pig Wings were good, but a bit smaller when compared to other places where I have had them. The Tater Tots just didn’t do it for me and I was so looking forward to them. I will absolutely return to Rock Elm Tavern. They do have so many positives going for them. It’s a great place to hang out and next time I will go for one of those burgers(that looked delicious) to go with one of their outstanding craft beers…

The dishes are packed with flavor at this new and packed restaurant in Plymouth. We will go again, for sure. We had a sudden Friday evening urge to have a good burger, and found Rock Elm. Next time we’d call ahead for a reservation(if that’s possible), but even on a packed night we got a seat in under 30min. We started with the Housemade Tots — my husband loved them, but they were too cheesy for me. If you like fried mozzarella sticks, you’ll love these! If you actually want«tots» — if you want to taste the potato — these are not for you. But the entrees — yummy! We always split each of our entrees so we can try a bit of each, and were in taste bud heaven with both the Rock Elm Burger(candied walnut aioli, montamore cheese, arugula, roasted mushrooms) and the«I Just Want Steak», both cooked medium, both completely delicious. The steak was an unexpected incredible blast of spicy flavor(sooo good), and the burger would hit the spot for mushroom-lovers. If you’re feeling like having just a good American burger, you’d probably want to go with«The Safety Adam» as the«Rock Elm Burger» was dominated by the flavor of the toppings — which was not a bad thing in this case =) The hand-cut fries that came with both of our dishes didn’t do it for us. Every single one of the desserts sounded amazing, but we were past full by that point. It’s a loud, busy place, but the tasty dishes made up for that. We’ll go again and try their other tasty bites!
