We had a wonderful meal at Sabor last night. I so enjoyed the delicious halibut. I did miss not being able to have a glass of wine with my meal. We will definitely go there again though I have worries for the restaurants future without the ability to serve wine and beer.

Absolutely wonderful meal. I had a generous portion of a roasted beet salad for an app. For dinner I had a scallop entrée and a crab risotto. The scallops were beautiful cooked and the service was very attentive. The only reason it didn’t get five stars is because they didn’t have a liquor license and a glass of wine would have made the whole experience better.

Best place my two foodie daughters and I have tried in Plymouth. The seared scallops over crab risotto– amazing! Crab and corn bisque– don’t miss it Sorry we missed having wine. That would have made it perfect

Good meal. Wish we could have had alcohol though they did not have a permit on the night we went! Good service. Pretty pricey but most people at our party were happy with their food!

I was looking for a nice, romantic place to take my girlfriend who will have just become my fiancé that very afternoon. I made the reservations and we were just blown away!!. The atmosphere, lighting, music were all perfect. No little kids, no noisy bar patrons. Cozy and intimate as can be. The Crab meat bisque, Crispy chicken over risotto, Salmon, Roasted cauliflower and the Crazy maple macaroon dessert were all impossible to top. All great, just terrific. The waitress was spot on, the food came out in perfect timing, not sure how could top this place. Especially for the price. Not cheap, but far from expensive. This is a Valentines to remeber. Thanks Sabor for such a terrific job.

The food is phenomenal! A family friend booked the whole restaurant for her sister’s 40th birthday and it couldn’t be better. I swear, I think we had everything on the menu plus some and there was nothing that wasn’t absolutely delicious. Also, I was very impressed how they have a healthy meal in conjunction with Jordan Hospital. Being a nurse there, I will certainly tell all my friends.

I took my husband here on a date and it was perfect. Small dining room, open kitchen, great wine selection. We had the pan seared scallops and rack of lamb. Both were delicious and I even ordered the coconut cake for dessert. Felt like home. Don’t come here if your in a rush. If you are a foodie who wants to take their time and enjoy their evening, this is the place for you! Chow:)

Sabor Chef Cordon and his staff catered a wedding rehearsal dinner for 50 that we hosted recently. Guests raved about the meal, from starters to dessert. We worked, mostly online, with Chef Cordon to plan an exquisite meal and all his advice was spot on. Highlights included lamb lollipops(passed appetizer), real-deal Caesar salad, Catch of the Day cod that was divine(as were the other entrees, including polenta with braised mushrooms), and dreamy coconut cake and chocolate mousse. The service was as gracious as the food was excellent. Sabor met and exceeded our expectations.

I always forget about this charming little restaurant in the heart of downtown Plymouth, probably because parking is getting to be a hassle there these days, but it is definitely worth the trip. The food is always fresh and very good. I had the salmon with pesto – sounds like an odd combination but it works. My dining companion had the pasta of the day which was a fresh mushroom ravioli in a light cream sauce. She thought she had died and gone to heaven. We had symphony tickets so we didn’t linger over dessert but this is one of those places you just don’t want to leave. Because it is small, it can get a little noisy when packed, as it always is on a Saturday night, but that’s my only complaint.

The service was Ok… however, the food was lackluster. I ordered the vegetable spring rolls and one of the rolls was burnt on one side. It was served with that side down so I didn’t see it right away. Also, I ordered the crispy chicken breast. Chicken was Ok… but was served on a Risotto that was watery and bland. My husband like his crab bisque and was happy with his Seared Scallops on Crab Risotto so maybe it’s just tasted off to me, but overall I wasn’t impressed and probably won’t go back.

TERRIBLEFOOD, TERRIBLESERVICE. We went there on a sat night. There was us and one other couple. It took the server 20 mins to even come over to us. finally when we ordered our food was plain and boring. Not what i was expecting from a small romantic restaurant. DONOTGO. BEWARE!!!

Third time visiting Sabor, this time with friends new to this restaurant. We were all impressed with their $ 25 three course healthful dinner promotion sending $ 5 per diner to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Plymouth, so we all ordered that. Started with the corn and crab chowder, which was an addition to the pre fixe menu and was delicious, followed by the first course shaved fennel and orange supreme salad — again, delicious. Baked Salmon was the main course and it was fresh and tasty. Chef’s whim desserts were varied and excellent. Nice wines generously poured. Excellent service. Highly recommended. We will be back. On-sstreet parking easy to find.

I took my boyfriend here for a special birthday dinner when we spent this past weekend in Plymouth and it was AMAZING. Such a great find, I was so glad that I read reviews and booked us in for an 8 pm seating on Friday night on opentable. It was very small but so romantic and the décor was gorgeous. Definetly need a reservation though, as there are only a few tables. Dinner was about $ 100 for the 2 of us, including tip. Very pricey but definetly worth it. My only complaint was that the bread definelty tasted freezer burnt, which really bummed me out at first, as I was expecting the rest of the meal to not meet my expecations. I think the chef may par bake the rolls, then freeze them, and warm them up for service? Anyways, I was turned around when we were served a little amuse-bouche type potato soup that was fabulous. Then I ordered the vegetable spring roll app and he got kobe sliders that came with fries that had fresh rosemary and i think parmesan cheese and they were incredible. For our mains, I had a wild mushroom ravioli with a light gorgonzola cream sauce and he had a pork chop special. They were both sooo good! We could barely move we were so full, so I asked to have my last 2 ravioli packaged to go, but the waitress must have forgotten and threw them out. But nonetheless, I wanted to go back the following night! Luckily it was closed, because I would have had to drop another $ 100. This is definetly the place to go in Plymouth if youre looking for a romantic dinner and dont mind spending a bit for a fabulous night.

After trying several places in Plymouth, this is my favorite. Only about eight items on the menu — 4 – 5 standards and another 4 based on what is available that day. You could tell they took the time to plan and prepare something for customers — not just throwing something together. Had clams and mussels in tomato sauce(forgot the real name) — excellent. Good service, reasonable prices.

The restaurant has kind of a minimalist décor. It got pretty noisy on Saturday night but nothing intolerable. Service was pretty good overall but they seemed to be understaffed. Complimentary bread basket and garlicky hummus with olive oil was a tasty way to start the evening. We also had a tasty pickled radish amuse bouche which I liked somewhat as opposed to the rest of our party. The menu is pretty limited, so it was disappointing to order the rack of lamb and then be told«we’re out of lamb». So I went for the steak frites, which was just okay. Soup du jour was a tasty vegetable/lentil, just right for the colder weather. Roasted beet salad was okay. My wife got sauteed veggies which were quite overcooked to our great surprise. Our companions shared the Sabor crispy chicken breast which they said was okay, nothing great. Best part of the meal was the«Peanut Butter Thing», which is a creamy mousse of peanut butter on top of a peanutty crust, with crème fraîche on the side. Very light tasting and unusual. A modest selection of wines, but we were surprised there was only one Spanish offering(cava). As mentioned above, there is sort of a minimalist vibe to the décor. Hard surfaces everywhere. Some of the walls are partly covered by a light fabric, but the place is echoey and a felt bit unwelcoming on a cold, rainy night.

A first rate dining experience in Plymouth! I had a meeting with two colleagues from the UK and had read some great reviews. Decided to try something new. I arrived first and was seated at a nice table by the sidewalk window Barry, our server, suggested a Josh cab(a favorite of mine) while I wait. I had an opportunity to peruse the menu while I waited. Sabor embraces a small menu with locally sourced ingredients. They offered two organic, all natural entrees in addition. There are four other selections that are put on the menu daily. They include a seafood and pasta option. I frankly love to see these smaller menus. It makes me feel as though the food is truly crafted and better focus is put on each dish. My dinner mates arrived and Barry came by to explain the menu. One of my co-workers has gluten allergies. Extra care was given in pointing out his options and other than the pasta, the chef would accommodate any dish. I decided on a local cod over a bed of saffron rice with chorizo. He described is as Paella but if you’ve been to Valencia, it really didn’t look like that. I started with a Caesar which was well done and traditional. Our dishes arrived and the presentation was excellent. Local baby carrots adorned the outside of my dish. I slid my fork into a piece of amply sized fish and savored that first bite. Somewhat analogous to food porn experience. The flavors were amazing and the texture of the fish was flaky and quite moist. I cannot remember having a white fish that was prepared so well. Outstanding service and a great culinary experience! Good food is not cheap and our food ran about $ 40 for each person and two bottles of wine brought it up to $ 75 with tip. I would not hesitate to take friends back here or work colleagues.

I went to Sabor last night. We were a party of four and had a 6:30 reservation. The service was definitely slow. The servers appeared to have many locals that were dining that were getting plates quickly, but we were waiting, and waiting, and waiting some more between our entrees and appetizers. Also I had dirty dishes from the apps sitting on my table for 15 minutes. My husband loved his spicy gaspacho to start with, but my ceasar salad was completely overpowered by anchovies. My MIL had the fennel salad which was just limp and way too citrus-y. For the entrees, my seared and supposedly rare sushi grade tuna was completely overcooked. The sauce that it came with was just a side of soy sauce with wasabi. I could make that at home, and the tuna wasn’t crusted with anything. The scallops that my H had were wonderful and the dish was filling, but my MIL’s lamb was also over-cooked. It was OK. It is the only restaurant I have been to in Plymouth so I don’t have anything to compare it to, but I’ll definitely be going else-where the next time I am in town. As others have mentioned, the place is small. They could use one more server in the dining room to ensure smoother service.

Went here for the first time a few weeks ago becuase I had a groupon. The meal was amazing, the service was great. We never felt rushed at all. Everything we had there was great from the appitizer to the main course(I got the Salmon and my friend got the Pork Chops). The dessert was a chocolate cake with rasperries, it was so good! When we go the bill they had a card inside that said every tuesday they have a cocktail hour with free appitzers then for $ 20 they serve a three course meal. We ended up going back for the Tuesday Special and it was just as amazing as the first time we went. Definatelly recommend this place to anyone in Plymouth! It is a little pricey(if you don’t go on a tuesday or have a groupon) but it is definately worth it!

SABOR is so far, my favorite dining location in Plymouth. It’s small, quiet, clean, and the food has always been amazing. During the day time, off season… you can get in with no wait, the pick of the place, and kids wouldn’t be a huge deal. At night, not so much, stay home. I’ve been for lunch 2 – 3 times, and dinner twice. It’s lunch calmer during the day. I’d absolutely suggest a trip.
