Salon Awesome

Salon Awesome is my go to location to get my hair did. Vera always does a world class job sculpting my hair into a wearable piece of art. I am «delicious» by the time I am done here! If I want my hair left a little longer? Alright. If I want it a little shorter? BOOM! GONE!!!
Aside from the quality of my hair cut, there are amenities that you won’t find in your typical barber shop fella’s. They have beer. You heard me, they have beer! They also have some other liqour (bailey’s), and usually have a spread that consists of cookies, and other delectable sweets.
During my haircut experience, they even wash my hair! It’s like a massage for my scalp! I wish I could wash my own hair and have it be such a great experience. I feel like one of the ladies and it was a little odd at first as a masculine man that I am, but I secretly look forward to my wash.
Prices… They’re great! I once paid some place in Plymouth called «Too Dye For» like 35 – 40 bucks for a then boy’s haircut. Here it’s 25 bucks before the tip, which is always earned!!!
Also, one of the workers/​owners has the cutest pug dog named Ginger! Every time I go in there I hope she is there too!

I had my hair just kind of «fixed» because my last cut at a different place just kept getting worse and I just thought maybe I needed a change! So I went on Unilocal,since I’m an Elite and decided to check in someplace to help me fix this haircut problem! Now I don’t blame it on the other stylist because I know she’s going thru some hard times … I went thru hard times and I truly do get it! I love her to pieces too!
But I really needed help because my hair was lopsided as in I part it on the side & one side had just way too much hair! So I decided to try Salon Awesome. I asked for Rachelle andI did that because of her great reviews!!!
She went underneath my top layer of hair and thinned it to make it even snd she was brilliant! She did a great job all around and she was really very nice ! She styled it perfectly and did my bangs perfectly! I was awesomely happy!
The front desk young woman was really nice, fun and funny! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and I’ll be back!!! Thank you Rachelle!!! Hey she knew exactly what to do with my very thick, course & wavey hair too!!! Muahh!!! Thank you so much!

I’ve been going to Salon Awesome for several years and can’t use enough superlatives to express how thrilled I’ve been with all of my experiences ranging from hair color, styling, makeup for special occasions and even small trips to stop in for free to get my bangs trimmed. The reception is always warm and the reminder calls are great since I tend to forgot things! I’m always receiving compliments on my hair cuts/​styles and encourage anyone that wants to look great and appreciates great service. I’ve used several different stylists but mainly see Rachele when I can get on her calendar! It stands up to it’s name, you’ll leave looking awesome.

Used to be a great place to get my hair done. Over the years the salon has become too trashy for my taste. Some pf the stylists are dressed extremely unprofessional. More like a strip club than salon.

I got my eyebrows waxed here. I went in asking for a «cleanup» and my eyebrows are totally uneven! One side is perfect and the other side looks like she took off half of my eyebrows. :(

I got my hair done from another salon and I absolutely hated it! I wanted natural highlights and the lady made me blonde. So I got recommended to Salon Awesome by some family members. And Vera made me love my hair again! Thank you ! Thank you! Thank you! I would for sure recommend this place.

Their website has not been updated. They no longer do Brazilian waxes. Not sure what other services they have cut, but the person on the phone was really friendly!

I had my hair cut twice by Rachelle in the recent past. They are probably the best haircuts I have had. I have extremely thick hair, so she thinned it out using a razor and thinning shears and it looks great and is so easy for me to style! She is very, very skilled and I have had a lot of haircuts at various high-​end salons in my day!

Salon Awesome is an AWESOME place to get pampered. Kristen is the best stylist there is! She makes me look good and feel confident about myself. She gives me good advise as to how to take care of my hair. I get compliments on my hair daily! The best salon I have ever been to!

The best!!! I love the small salon feel, but with HUGE service! It’s always an «awesome» experience!
