What is better than this location? Not much! For that, it deserves more stars. The food is good, but pretty simple. It is a beach con session after all!

Great spot… I had fried scallops, hubby had fried clams. Fresh but a little greasy. We stopped for a quick bite than a nice walk on the beach. Staff very nice… gave us treats for our dogs. We would stop again… probably not get the fried food. Enjoyable spot on a great summer day.

Super friendly service and great lobster rolls! If you are staying at the Pilgrim Sands, come here for meals right on the beach.

We decided to try Sandy’s based on other Unilocal reviews. The reviews were accurate. Sandy’s is really a hidden gem at the beach. Sandy’s is simply a beach side shack with excellent food and nice people. If you are looking for fancy, this is not it. If you are looking to relax, this is heaven. If you want a great view and some tasty food for a good price, this is for you. Just sit there on a nice afternoon, have a beer, some clam chowder and a lobster roll and you are gonna leave happy.

Succulent scallop plate and Cajun seasoned fish. Not over spiced but came on slowly. Fries and cold slaw were delicious. They even have soft serve ice cream but who had room for dessert?

Returned to Sandy’s 3 times already this season. Skip the Plymouth waterfront and come here. Great entries include broiled scallops, haddock sandy, and the lobster roll. Fresh food, well prepared with no pretensions and the ocean right there.

I’ve eaten at a lot of expensive seafood restaurants and a lot of beach shacks. The seafood medley was one of the better seafood meals I’ve had anywhere at any price. We were staying overnight at the Pilgrim Sands, and we wanted someplace the kids could run around after being cooped up in the trafficy drive down. We weren’t expected much. Instead we got fantastic food, friendly service, and an amazing view for a very reasonable price. Yes, it’s a picnic table on the beach. That’s what we wanted and what we got. But the staff was friendly and helpful despite the crowds, very welcoming to newcomers. My kids want to eat all our meals there. We’ll be back.

Total dive. You drive onto beach to get here. DDD worthy for the chowder and lobster roll alone. Great Loud atmosphere.

Really good lobster and scallop rolls. Served quickly and piping hot. Very fresh seafood. Fries also hot and crispy. Fun beach atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating and small bar. Very reasonably priced. Definitely a must stop if you’re in the area!

The view is amazing and the lady that owns the place is sooooooo nice. They’ll reserve a table for you if you call early in the day, which most places won’t. Lobster roll was good and we’re about to eat some clams too. They have alcohol. Bring cash!

Love Sandys. Wander off the beach in your swimsuit, sit at the bar for a cocktail or at a table, or order your food and take it back down the beach. Love the swordfish — fish is fresh off a local boat every day.

Oh sandy, drizzle your delicious cole slaw on my chest and let me nom your sweet potato fries. Sandy’s was a great spot! I went with a couple of friends, the parking was free at the time. Food I had NO problem with, so if that’s all you care about then I would give this place 4 – 5 stars. Had a great view of the ocean, and looks as though this place is a gold mine. A little bar offshoots the main snack area so you can sit there and drink(if you wanna pony up tip for each drink) Few qualms though. They don’t accept credit cards, which is understandable if this place was an actual snack shack, but they have some pretty expensive items on there such as swordfish, and their drinks, not really ‘bathing suit cash money’ territory, well for me anyway. I had to pick pocket an 80 year old woman that fell asleep in the sun, just to pay for my food. My other issue I guess would be not MUCH seating, though it is supposed to be a snack shack I suppose. Beers were pretty expensive, 5 something for a can. Another problem is there is a 2 window setup, but people can line up at either of them, anddd when your order is up you have to kinda cut through the line to one of the windows to grab your food. Which as my friend found out pisses off people that don’t know you’re picking up food. Turns into a fightclub scene every 15 minutes. People fisticuffs each other and when they’re laying there bleeding, the victor stands over them and says«I just wanted to destroy something beautiful.» Fries were awesome, cole slaw was awesome, and the chicken sandwich was great. Great stop if you’re in the area for some beers and fud.

Sandys: To know it is to love it. Is the food great? Nope. Is it the cleanest place you’ve ever eaten? Nope. Are the prices good? Nope(a bit expensive for what you get). But people(like myself) will continue to go back. There is something about the outdoor atmosphere. Something about the«neighborly» feel to it. It is a step away from the touristy trap seafood restaurants in Plymouth. It has a Jimmy Buffet feel to it that makes up for the downsides(like the flies. no fault of Sandy’s but they could make more of an effort to rid themselves of them). It is worth a try. you may love it! You may not.

Sandy’s has a pretty nice little spot for itself at the end of Plymouth Beach. Their prices are fair although if you’re driving you’ll have to pony up 15 dollars(on the weekend) just to park your car and look at the menu. The lobster roll wasn’t bad though it was a bit heavy on the mayo and the filler. The few good chunks that found their way in there were tasty though. My main beef is with the fried clams. They are up there on the list of the worst fried clams I’ve ever had. And I’ve had a lot of fried clams. When the girl at the window asked if I wanted whole clams I said, «Yeah, big bellies if you got them.» Now I didn’t really expect expect a full plate of big bellies like you might find in Essex, but I sure as hell didn’t expect the plate of dark brown, greasy, crunchy, burnt tasting leftovers that I got. Compared to these stringy, chewy bits of gristle(if fried clams can have gristle, that’s what I felt like I was eating), the fries weren’t bad. It is hard to beat the view at Sandy’s and there’s something to be said for eating your lunch while curling your toes in the sand. While the tables were impressively clean, the area could use some raking to get rid of the numerous cigarette butts. There’s a full bar here as well, which is something most of these places lack — maybe if I was drunk I would have liked the food a bit more.

Sandy’s was awesome. Great ocean view, good quick service… and fair prices… I got a cheeseburger, a large drink and a lobster roll for under $ 20. Location is on route 3A south of Plymouth Center, if you hit the Plymouth Sands motel you’ve come to far, you turn left into the driveway for the plymouth beach just after you cross the Eel River, you’ll see Stoneforge restaurant up ahead. Turn left just after the river crossing. Its a cool place. There’s changing rooms and bathrooms there for the beach. Most stuff is under $ 10 but remember seafood will be between $ 11 – 20 depending on the kind and the season.

Every year Sandy’s gets a little bit nicer, so consequently, every year Sandy’s gets a little bit busier. Fortunately, each addition only makes the wait, well, more worth the wait. This little hut began as just that, a little hut serving quick food on Plymouth beach. Hot dogs, cheeseburgers, lobster rolls, the kind of food you could eat while sitting on the beach wall. Then slowly they expanded their patio, adding tables. This added food that could be plated. Then there was the beer and wine. This encouraged more table sitting, which thus encouraged more plate-able food. Then came the awning, which added more tables, in addition to a shelter from the warm sun, and all of the sudden, our little shack became a beach side hot spot. Note that the actual«restaurant» portion is still the little shack. This means counter service, and at times, a bit of a wait as only so much can be done at a time in a small space. But where else can you sip a beer, munch on some delicious seafood, and literally overlook the beach, all while sporting a wet bathing suit, a sunburned nose, and some flip flops? Sandy’s is open pretty late into the evening(8ish maybe?). The good news about this is that they stop checking for stickers after 5, so you can drive on down without worrying about having to make your $ 10 donation to the Town of Plymouth. But if you’re craving a beachside meal earlier than 5, just park in the parking lot before the beach entrance and mosey on down the beach wall. You’ll be glad you did.
