great pizza — tried the«big tony» on the original crust and it was awesome. actually lay eyes on the toppings before they go on your pizza as a semi-picky individual that works good for me. ha friendly place — workers went out of their way to make us feel welcome and they also made sure we liked what we got

Great pizza, but waaaaaay understaffed. Just two girls running their butts off falling further and further behind. 25 minutes before they even had time to take our money, much less get our food. Felt sorry for them.

Summary: — My favorite pizza place in the Twin Cities — Inexpensive and flavorful — fast casual service for a quick meal — Solos is my favorite comfort food restaurant. After a grueling semester of school, I always look forward to flying home and eating some pizza from the Minnesotan chain. No exaggeration — I automatically connected onto the wifi as I walked near the store. The store operates like a Chipotle, allowing you to choose your toppings on a personal pan pizza, 7″ or 10″. They’re flexible with customization and have options for some pretty elaborate combinations. I personally like the«Taste of Italy», an olive oil based pizza with a ton of veggies and chicken. The pizza can be ordered to go or dining in. The restaurant interior is the color of pizza toppings, which sounds tacky but somehow provides a modern look. The pizza comes out hot and gooey with cheese within 5 minutes. The sauce works well with the chewy crust and the toppings give a unique experience every time. It’s a lot of praise for fast casual pizza but it’s my favorite for a reason.

Great price for made to order pizza. Order small Brick house pizza and they are perfect. Small is 7 inches, and large is 10 inches. They have new item melt sandwich and price is great too. I will come here again and better deal than Subway on the sandwich. Will definitely try other menu.

I visited on a Sunday evening. The staff seemed a little discombobulated. I ordered my pizza and side salad and requested no garlic as I remembered a while ago that they might add garlic butter to the crust. I was assured no garlic. However, my pizza did have garlic on the crust. I ordered it to go so there wasnt much I could do. The pizza for the price, also could have used a higher quality cheese and sauce.

The pizza was delicious! I had the taco pizza on wheat and have no complaints. However, the service is the only reason Solo’s will be getting 4 stars from me today — a tad below par. However, will definitely go back for another try.

I frequent between this location and the maple grove one for lunch. The food is decent, it’s like a subway for pizza! My favorite is the ring of fire! The price is very reasonable, I normally get the dou which is a pizza and a salad or bread puffs for around $ 8. Very filling! Only down side is this location does not offer free ice cream! Also the thin crust is only available for the 10 inch pizza. Overall I would go back as the staff and food were nice!

I love Solo’s Pizza. The Pizza is great, and the prices are awesome. With their«kids eat free on weekends» offer, I can often be feed my family of 5 for $ 20.

We visited this location back around 12/14/2014. We recently moved to Plymouth so trying out different things in the area is really what it is all about. It’s a different set-up for us on how we walk through a line and pick out what toppings we want as we move, which is good in a way you see exactly how they build it and how much toppings they use. We do love our pizza, and we are glad we chose this place. We ordered two Margo pizzas and for our kids, a cheese and pepperoni pizza. Just within 7 – 8 minutes our pizzas were already done, even though it was decently busy in the establishment. The pizza had a nice crust to it, a good amount of seasoning, the cheese was great, and best of all, the crust beneath the pizza was not a soggy mess, it kept it’s structure and tasted great. We will definitely be stopping by this place in the near future, for we enjoyed the food, and the fast service.

Very disappointing, found this place on Unilocal rated fairly well. Usually this means a great experience, unfortunately this is the first time that wasn’t the case. I ordered ahead for pick up, and the pizza was ready on time within 10 – 15 minutes as quoted. Unfortunately that was the only positive part of the experience. The pizza itself was mediocre at best, very little sauce, ordered the asiago cheese to be added but didn’t taste any of it on the pizza. The pizza itself was very bland and unimpressive. I also ordered a soft drink and cookies to go along with my dinner. Unfortunately I didn’t do a bag check before I left because they were left out by the staff.(My fault for not checking, but still…) I travel quite a bit for work and often use Unilocal to find nice local flavor for food on the road. This is one of the first times that a well rated restaurant didn’t live up to the ratings. I’ll continue to use Unilocal but if you’re in Minneapolis you can skip this place for the pizza. You’re better off ordering Dominoes.

I was in a hotel room recovering from surgery. My parents had been with me all day and we three were starving. Solo looked to be the only place near and pizza sounded good. I’m so very glad my dad placed that order. The crust was perfect. A combo of both chewy and airy. The sauce was perfect not too salty not too sweet and the toppings had just a hint of spicy(red pepper perhaps?). I was out for 2 hours under anesthesia so i thought I might be able to eat a piece but ended up polishing all but one slice off(I had that for breakfast!) Night 2? What did we get? Solo pizza! For 8 – 9 bucks you can’t go wrong! I live 40 minutes from there. thank God I have a follow up appt with the Doc this week around lunchtime!

Kids eat free on weekends with adult purchase, which I discovered on a Friday night, so alas no discount. However, prices for kids meals were still under $ 4. The pizza was good, many specialty or create your own personal sized pizzas so it is perfect for those at odds with the tastes of their party. Found this location a bit dirty and in need of paint touch-up, etc.

I first came to Solo’s with my kids while their mom was in the hospital. I’m not really into the whole«place your order at the counter and wait at the table» type of restaurants, mainly because it takes my kids like an hour to make up their minds while people grow impatient behind us. However, their selection of fresh toppings and their generous single-serve portions resulted in me ordering exactly what I wanted without worrying whether or not the kids would like it. They got what they wanted, too, and the price for a kids meal is a steal, considering the size of the kids pizza. The wait staff has been very friendly and helpful both times that I’ve gone. I’ve been to Punch. I’ve waited in line for a spot for a cafeteria table. I’ve eaten the whole half-burnt pita-like crust. If you’re looking for so-so pizza for yourself and your hipster friends– Punch is for you. Solo’s sauce is flavorful, their cheese is plenty, the seating is ample, and the pizza is just fricking good.

The kind fellas over at Solos Pizza supported our non-profit group by donating a percentage of sales towards our cause, making them awesome. It was a Tuesday evening and I brought my two kiddos(ages 4 and 5) and we ordered two kids meals and one regular pizza. Their prices are very reasonable. Only about $ 12 for all of us to eat. I thoroughly enjoyed my wheat crust pizza(sounds gross, but it was really, really good!). The kids only ate half of their pizzas, so next time, I’ll probably make them split one. I’ll definitely return!

Great roughly Neapolitan pies, custom made with what you like, fresh ingredients, above average crust. I would consider this Neapolitan style pizza, although the toppings are anything but. The crust is roughly Neapolitan which means it is 0 or 00 flour(low protein, ash). Sure you can get a margherita pizza here, but that isn’t the main attraction by any means. The crust also isn’t scorched with bubbles and black spots on most occasions as I prefer. At any rate for a «fast casual» restaurant that is trying to branch out into franchise locations, Solos shows great promise. The only potential thing holding it back is American’s love for heavy crust«manufactured thick to support potential topping overload» ala Domios, Pizza Hut, and Papa Johns. Most people can’t get off that train and thus believe a product like Solos is somehow lacking. If you like the idea of a chewy, airy, light crust that doesn’t leave you feeling like you have an anchor dragging behind you the rest of the day — try Solos. You will get your pizza fix, custom ingredient options, and a great value. Only a few pizza places in all of Minnesota can top this, I’ll be back!

Loved the nice outdoor patio. A couple fountains in the water would be nice, but it’s a great little pond with flowers. The pizza was very good. Probably my favorite«quick service» pizza place. Much better than Punch for sure! They have pizzas with both red sauce and white sauce, so I’ve got something to look forward to try when I go back. Well priced, personal pizzas, good salads, homemade cookies. Nice little place!

I love pizza! Solos combines the joy of custom cooking with the pleasure of someone else cleaning the dishes. The plethora of quality ingredients and the choice of several crusts was an experience I never had anywhere else. My choice of wheat crust, mozzarella and asiago cheese topped with smoked bacon and spinach leaves was cooked to perfection in a mere 3 to 5 minutes. The upscale interior boasted large windows for lots of light and a great view, including an outdoor patio that was quite inviting. I was greeted immediately when I walked in the door and the staff never lost their smile as I puzzled over the myriad number of ingredient choices to build my perfect pizza. The store manager was warm and friendly. Pizza Hut and Domino’s are my current pizza favorites, but if there was a Solos in Arkansas it would be at the top of my list!

Fast serve, design your own pizza is an interesting concept. You can select from several named combinations or you can pick and choose what you want on your own pizza. There is a whole grain crust option that I might have to try on another trip. Your pizza is made in front of you and put into a hot oven. It is nice that you can get a 7″ pizza/side salad combo for under $ 8. Take your number to the table and in a few minutes your order will be delivered. When the pizza comes it is HOT, so be warned. I wish I had been given the salad to get started on ahead of the pizza, but it all came out at the same time. The salad would have been better with less iceberg and more leafy dark green greens but it was nice to get a salad that wasn’t loaded down with cheese(garden salad side). This location is close to the WestHealth facility, which is why I was in the area, so it was a convenient stop for lunch before the appointment, and certainly a much better option than the Golden greasy arches next door.

Comparable to a Subway/Chipotle of pizzerias. Pizzas come in two sizes, 7″ and 10″. Depending on how hungry you are, both sizes could serve as personal pizzas as neither is really very large. My bf and I were able to split a 10″ only because neither of us were starving. The wide selection of toppings(different sauces, cheese, meats, veggies, crusts) will satisfy everyone. We ordered a thin crust pizza(tastes like it comes with a light dusting of garlic powder) with skim mozz cheese, bbq sauce, grilled chicken, red onion, and banana peppers. I thin we paid ~$ 8. Rather cutting into traditional slices(pizza is so small it would probably only yield 4 very small almost equilateral triangle-shaped slices), they cut the pizza into a bunch of appetizer-sized squares. We both really enjoyed our pizza here. The service was friendly and the pizza came out quick.

Solos specializes in individual sized pizza because«no two fingerprints are the same why should pizza»? I came here for lunch and fell in love. I’m a can-eat-pizza everyday type of girl and solos is right up my alley. The solos double is a great deal, you get a side salad and an individual sized specialty pizza or pizza up to 3 toppings for $ 7.60. I got a squawker(bbq pizza with chicken, bacon, and onions) and a caesar salad; I was happier than a fat kid at a cake store. They put a good amount of toppings in their pizza and their salads. By the time I paid, got my drink and sat down, the food came and I was ready to chow down. I was so stuffed and ready for nap time… good thing caribou is around the corner!
