Yes, this place in gone. Sad in that there isn’t another decent place to eat in Pllymouth. Best just to keep driving to Placerville.

Out of business. Closed permanently. closed closed closed closed closed. Apparently, Unilocal doesn’t have an“establishment closed” button and won’t let me just write«closed» because that review is too short, but this place Speeds is empty of all tables chairs on the inside and definitely closed.

Unfortunately Speeds Diner is out of business. The food was always fresh with large portions. The town needs another restaurant, hopefully it will reopen or another owner will take over.

This place is now closed. Went by this morning to get breakfast, and it is all cleared out. Sorry we missed it!

We were in Plymouth for a wedding. We ate lunch at Speed’s on Saturday. The waitress was very friendly to us and the other customers that arrived, even though she was still busy cleaning up from breakfast(there were two wedding parties in town). The food was tasty. We had a hamburger and grilled ham and cheese sandwich. Fries were cooked the way we like, crispy outside and still moist on the inside. But where Speed’s Diner really shined was in the service they provided after we left. Upon reaching home I realized I had left my sweatshirt at Speed’s. They were helpful in checking lost and found and mailing to me! Love businesses that go above and beyond.

Had breakfast today at this diner. The service was nice and attentive… so many coffee refills! I had the veggie omelet with hash browns and rye bread and it was delicious and huge! Everything was well-cooked. Highly recommended!

I wanted lunch, he wanted breakfast. We got both at Speed’s Diner. I ordered the small cheeseburger, it was amazing, served with crinkle cut fries which were good. My bf had the pancake meal, he said it was good, but he then saw the regular sized burgers come out to another table and he was sad he didn’t order one, they were huge! Service was quick and the man serving us was pleasant. We will be back.

Props to Speeds for letting me order a burger at 9:30 am. If I eat later than 9:00 am, I’d rather have lunch. Having seen some pics on Unilocal of patrons’ burgers, I knew that I should order a small burger, which I believe was a half pound patty. Had it with swiss cheese and mushrooms, very yummy. Our waiter showed me the bun they use for their«regular» burgers. Looked like a seat cushion! Everyone else in our party ordered breakfast, spanish omelets, french toast, eggs, etc. Everyone was happy with their meals. Would definitely go back.

Such nice people, country folk, serving country folk. We usually go there for the awesome giant country burgers but, the other morning we went there for breakfast. The pastrami omelet was excellent also, the eggs benedict was better than the one’s I make. Can’t wait to go back. The info on the walls is hysterical.

Ideal local breakfast spot. Perfectly cooked fresh eggs, bacon, good pancakes, coffee, gentile music, mellow server AND they are open every day of the week, Hard to spot coming from Jackson so pay attention after you pass the Plymouth Shell station or ask Siri.

Food was decent. Potatoes were undercooked. Eggs were fine. Biscuit and gravy was pretty good. Pancake was good according to my girlfriend. Air conditioning was broken so it was really hot inside. The waiter was apologetic. We would return.

Fantastic breakfast! I wanted more than 1 bite of my man’s pancakes because they were fucking perfect. Fantastic service! The owner was ONIT and never left us wanting for anything. what a great guy with an awesome personality! A lil dusty around the corners but, I don’t care. would eat here again in a heartbeat.

Adorned with an eclectic mix of race cars and western items, this small restaurant is right in 16. Ample parking outside, country music playing on the radio and a TV to watch the news. There’s a drum set sitting in the back that makes me wonder when they bang in em. 160 gallon fish tank will keep the kids busy if you have some wily ones. I ordered the redneck eggs Benedict which is sausage egg and gravy over the homemade biscuit. Sausage was ok, biscuit was very good, gravy was a peppery ham steak gravy better than average. All together the redneck Benedict was pretty damned good. Hash browns were perfectly amazing an crispy! These are BOMB

If you think size matters, you have GOT to try this hamburger, but be warned. The small burger is plenty. Though bigger than it looks from the street, it’s a smallish place that looks better on the inside and is actually pretty popular, but can also be very loud when full. Don’t be put off by the amateurish looking signs and exterior, nor should you let youself be misled by the very high ratings you see here(lots of «gushers» on this thread for some reason). It ain’t all that, as they say, is something of an understatement here. The eggs benedict are ok, but the hashbrowns are sometimes burned not just to a crisp but quite a ways beyond it. Today they were not edible. The prices are pretty standard for the area, I’d say, and the people that work there are nice enough. The menu is limited and the kitchen small, and there’s a walk-away window that appears to be in use as well as the dining room. I certainly wouldn’t go out of my way, but if you’re passing by and want a truly giant hamburger, you’ll be very happy here.

Fluffiest pancakes in the world! I can only order one because they are the size of a plate! Biscuits and gravy– best I’ve ever had(I should also state I grew up in Oklahoma so I know my biscuits and gravy! Delicious breakfast at great prices!

We stopped here because it had a great hand lettered sign and there were lots of cars in the parking lot. Teeny little“locals” hangout and it definitely did not disappoint in any way. We had one lunch and one breakfast there, lots of really good food, friendly people and very enertaining! If you are in Plymouth, definitely stop in, you will be pleased!
