Bartenders and staff are the nicest around. Food is delicious and reasonable! Our favorite place to hang out year-round!

We came here last night, which was Saturday night, during the football playoffs. The restaurant was packed and there ended up being about a 30 – 45 minute wait for either the bar or dining room. We ended up being seated in a booth in the bar, which was great. Our server was prompt with taking our order, refilling drinks, etc. We ordered the artichoke spinach dip as an appetizer and it was really, really good! A bit spicy, creamy and unusual with crunchy bits of water chestnuts. For our meals I ordered the walleye fish and chips, an upgrade from the cod, for $ 2. My husband ordered the fish tacos and added the fries for the extra charge. Both meals were fine, my husband thought the tacos had great flavor. My fish came out looking like Shrimp and fries, with tiny little walleye nuggets, good, nothing to rave about. The big disappointment came with the fries. They were mediocre McDonald’s style and definitely not worth the $ 2.25 they charged for them. We decided we wouldn’t be back anytime soon. There’s an applebees right by our house that has better fries and they don’t cost extra with the meal. This is a place we may stop in if we’re out and about, but we won’t go out of our way to come back.

I am soooo disappointed… made a «reservation»(they don’t take official reservations in the bar area) for my sons 6th birthday last night. I called and talked to both managers(April and Tony) explaining how many there were(8) and that we would need a low top because we would need a high chair. They both took down our reservation and said they would do their best. We get there 10 minutes before our reservation and they say they don’t have a table for us. Not only was my son super sad(it was his choice to go there) but I was very upset, because sitting right in front of us was an empty high top for 8, which we couldn’t use because we needed a high chair, and a group of 8 was JUSTSEATED at a low top. Why couldn’t they have sat the group of 8 middle aged guys at the high top thereby ensuring the low top for us? The manager WHO I TALKEDTOONTHEPHONE was the one who sat them there. It’s like they wanted us to not be able to eat there. We will never be going back… Quick update to our Sunshine Factory experience: The owner/manager reached out to me personally over FB to apologize and asked me to please call her. I did and we had a very positive conversation where she apologized again for our experience and wanted to make it up to us. She is personally writing a letter of apology to Eli and including a gift card. I am very impressed with her offer… the gift card is just an added bonus to me. In this day and age it is heart warming to experience businesses who don’t just see us as a dollar sign walking thru the door.

Underwhelming at best. We had the sirloin and the prime rib. They both tasted… watery? It’s kind of hard to describe the specific lack of flavor, but something was definitely off. Even the veggies and potatoes were boring and flavorless). I tried the chicken wild rice soup, it was more like eating a bowl of gravy. After adding about three tablespoons of pepper(again, flavorless) it was just kind of gelatinous mush. Together we choked down half a bowl. Our beers were $ 8. They were large beers, but it was still unexpected. I would have thought more in the $ 6 range. The building itself was beautiful. Before they plastered up all the tacky bar posters and neon signs, that is. There’s a firepit on the patio with seating around it. It’s beautiful and charming and all that, and then you look around and realize you’re still in the parking lot of a mega-strip mall. We won’t be returning.

A flat out three star restaurant. Made reservations for eight and our table was all set up and ready for us when we arrived. The wait staff were attentive and things moved along as one would hope. The hold back concerns the quality of the food, specifically the sirloin my wife and grandson ordered medium rare, which came out of the kitchen burnt on the outside(no, not blackened) and well done to the max of shoe leather. I know, we should have politely asked for a redo but everyone else’s food was sitting in front of them and we were ready to chow down. Besides, my grandson was especially hungry and I worried that steak number two might get hung up in the kitchen and not arrive at our table until mid-meal. It’s perhaps an unfair assumption on my part, but in any event he muscled through the overcooked meat after scrapping off the burnt stuff with his knife. Probably won’t return for another try, even though the salads were fine and my broiled walleye was good. There you have it. If you’re charging moderately high prices then give your customers great food cooked to order.

I’m addicted to their Mushroom Swiss Berger with fries. There is a hint of garlic along with butter without the greasy most places go. Arnie Palmers are fresh tea.

The atmosphere here is great if you are looking to watch your favorite sporting event on one of the many TVs. The food is ok but they normally have good beers in tap.
