This is a Bar & Grill, as clearly stated in the name. So you walk in and all this dark wood surrounds you and half the place is literally the big wooden bar. Kinda feel like you walked back into an old Saloon, based on the dark wood interior. However, the is plenty of sports stuff on the walls, and other things to brighten it up. It’s actually a nice cozy place to visit. We came with three 4 year olds, 1 infant and 4 adults. The numbers were not in our favor of having a relaxing or enjoyable meal. However, the waitress kindly took the kids orders first, so their food came up quickly, allowing the adults to chat or feed the infant or assist hungry monkeys. My kids had grilled cheese & apple sauce(like the fruit side option in lieu of fries) and I had the fish tacos. I LOVED the fish tacos. I mean, I want to go there again just for those tacos. Fresh fish, fresh slaw, no MSG(I’m allergic) and so dang tasty! I had every intention of bringing home my left overs for my hubby… but there were no leftovers! Oh, well, his loss. My mom had Salmon dinner, which was good and had a side of very fresh looking veggies. It was also a very healthy sized portion. Her friend had the chicken dinner, which was reported to be good, and there was nothing left on the plate, so it must have been yummy. I can’t recall what my BFF ate, mostly because I had her blocking the kids in the other side of the booth and I was trying to ignore that side of the table. In short; it’s good food but remember, the name does tell you what to expect!

our group of six were there to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. Shantel was again the one who made our evening special. The food, again was exceptional. We will continue to be loyal fans of Nasau.

First of all when the three of us walked in we were told that we could sit anywhere. We sat at a table for five, because two more were joining us. Shortly after we sat ourselves, the waitress asked us how many in our party, because they MIGHT get busy and need the table for five. They were not busy. This is the third time we have been there within a month and have had the same waitress each time. Each time my husband asks what kind of rum they have, She replies” all I know is Bacardi and Captain.” He orders Bacardi and one out of his three drinks was not Bacardi and her reply was,” I must have got it mixed up.” I would say that the waitress had a hard time servicing all the tables, and the bartender with two people at the bar did not help her out. She wasn’t rude but she sure wasn’t knowledgeable or friendly. Spent over a hundred dollars and won’t go back.

This is my new favorite local pub. I don’t give high scores often, but their burgers and french dip are the best in town and their fries are always crisp. Independently owned establishments obviously care more.

Shantel was our server and she did a perfect job — -five star. We had a group of 6 and all service was excellent. The food was a strong three star. Several of us had the salmon burger and liked it I had the Muffaletta sandwich and it was very good. No complaints on the food, but no raves either. A good sound place to have an enjoyable meal. The wine was priced at a fair value. The coleslaw served with the sandwich was among the best tasting I have ever had.

You would not think that a strip mall bar and grill would be such a great place to dine, but it is. Once you walk inside, you have no idea that you are in a strip mall anymore. I started off with the Ruben Egg Rolls. Super yummy and very unique. Their island sauce was a nice touch too. I then had their mahi mahi fish tacos. They were very flavorful and super yummy. All and all this is a great little spot with yummy food and excellent service.

I went here the other night based on the reviews on Unilocal.I was pretty disappointed. I order the burger and could tell it was frozen. The taste and texture were off. Nothing exciting at all. I will be back though to try again. And another thing… the name is based on the Bahamas but all the décor is baseball? I don’t get it…

Nassau has a menu with great variety, so it will satisfy any mood. If you want a Reuben, a Taco salad, or a plate of Spaghetti… it’s there. I especially love their Blackened Chicken Caesar Salad, but everything I have tried is excellent. The only complaint that I have is the service. just a little lacking in the speediness. When I run to a place for lunch, it is nice to have the check delivered promptly, and be able to get in and out. I usually go over the hour lunch when I eat here. just keep that in mind!

This place showed up as 4 stars on Unilocal for Sports Bar. Got the what I thought was a bit pricey $ 9.00 hamburger. Ordered for the extra $ 1 to get fries and not chips. Despite being a sports bar — there were no beer or beverage specials normal for game time at a sports bar. I know Bud Light has events to push their beer for game day. Our order arrived and we were given a raw hamburger — mushy all pink… rare. which was ordered cooked medium. They re-cooked it and the middle was raw still. ½ was never eaten. When the food was cooked more — the side of onion rings were now cold when burger returned to table. No condiments at table except ketchup. When I realized there was no mustard at the table the waitress was long gone. Our waitress did not bring my Diet Coke I ordered. Maybe the fact I ordered it when I ordered my food and not when first asked as we sat down threw her off — but after 10 minutes waiting for the coke– I frankly did not want it. There are 2TV sets in opposite corners of the restaurant. They are 32−40″ TV sets so you cannot see the images from the one side of the booth to the end of the restaurant. On the TV was boat racing. I asked them to put on Tiger game and sat frustrated for 15 minutes to get the channel changed… Finally as I got my bill — the station changed to ESPN and the Orioles game. This was a fail. We are in Detroit and the Texas /Detroit game was a hot ticket. No communication if they could not find the game on Fox Sports… Was going to stay to watch game. Decided to go home and watch. I really wanted to like this place. Oh well. Bad day???

First time visiting this establishment, took an out of town colleague there for lunch. Nonedescript appearance, location tucked away in a strip mall. Very busy at lunch, so I was optimistic going in. Surprisingly, no greeter/host/hostess and numerous tables waiting to be cleared. One server and one bartender on duty, seated by bartender who was efficient in getting drinks to us and taking the order. The blackened ceasar was recommended, so we both ordered but the name is a misnomer. Blackened does not mean merely smothering in dry spices and serving, but actually cooking/frying to add a crispness to the chicken. Did not see bartender(who by default was our server) again until late in the lunch where I presented him a corroded 1“x1″ piece of metal that was in my salad. He quickl apologized, said we were all taken care of and took my ½ finished salad back to the kitchen. Never saw him again, assumed«all taken care of» meant the meal was comped, so we put down a small tip and left. Slow service, primarily due to understaffing, but the way the shrapnel salad was handled was inexcusable. Comping the salads was the absolute minimum that would have been expected, based on my first experience, I see nothing that would bring me back to this establishment.

Went here on a search for a new burger place. Don’t be put off by the fact that is tucked away in strip mall because this place is great. They have a large selection of burgers and all of them are very unique. The burger with saurkraut is great. Also, the blackened chicken casear salad is great. Instead of crotons they shred fried egg roll shells and it is spicy and delicious. I cant wait to come back and try more off the menu. Def give this place a shot.

Writing this I realized I don’t come here enough. Have to order the cajun popcorn. Crawfish meat battered, fried and served with special sauce. So good. Ribs are pretty tasty, although a little to dry for my liking. Decent size burgers for the price. Nice big screen tvs and friendly bartenders. Think I’ll go tomorrow.

Ken likes Nassau much more than I do, so I’ve bumped the score to 4 with our combined scores… but he’s also found menu items that he really likes — such as their Muffaletta and their ½lb burger with pastrami loaded on top. All I’ve found there that is consistently delicious is the dirty martini and the fried pickle appetizer(enough crisply breaded spears to share with 2 – 4 people). I’d call the interior small — approximately 10 booths ranging from 2-tops to family-sized, and a long bar with stools. We’ve never had to wait, but the place is always full. Casual atmosphere(shorts and a ball cap are OK here). Fair-sized menu includes ten apps, a half dozen salads, twenty sandwiches and burgers(served with fries) and a smattering of main entrees such as salmon, ribs and a sirloin steak. Service is usually hit, but we had a crabby waitress the last time. Years ago they had battered and fried sausage links on the app menu — I miss that one. I’m going to take Andy W’s recommendation and try the Potato Soup next time. Hope it goes well with fried pickles and a dirty martini!

Nice low key restaurant/bar just outside of Plymouth. Happy hour is $ 1 off all draft beers. Had a M Lite — $ 2.75 and a Magic Hat — $ 4.00. Tuesday’s are their cheap ½ lb burger day. Very tasty burgers! Apps not so hot but overall a good experience. I will not necessarily be rushing back but will visit on occasion. This is your typical middle age pub.

Nassau Grill is the best! I don’t know what that one reviewer was thinking, so let me clarify. It is a bar inside of a strip mall, next to Einstein Bagels and Busch’s. It’s never overcrowded– it’s my husband and my favorite cozy spot where we can kick back with cheap beer and not be bothered by annoying 17 year old cocktail waitresses trying to sell us on the special of the day. It’s friendly, quirky staff and locals are always up for some good conversation. And… the burgers. Oh wow. Oh wow oh wow. So good that I’m thinking about going to get one after writing this. Juicy and flavorful. Greasy is not the word– sorry. They don’t squeeze the burgers when they grill them so the juice dripping onto your plate is pure burger-goodness. If you want a nice, neat iceberg salad, please go elsewhere.
