I spent four years of my life reading & laughing my ass off at the trolls @,*&™ posted on tape-op. I feel a 5 star Unilocal!review is the very least I can provide, as a way to say thank you.

I’ve never written a Unilocal review before, and normally wouldn’t set time aside to do so, but I was so impressed with this place, that I had to rate it. That should speak for itself. I hired Jeff Robinson as my Producer and Recording Engineer for my latest album, and if I could give him 10 stars, I would. As a Producer, he really pushed me to give my best performance and best presentation of the songs I had written(from selection of songs, to arrangements, to sequencing, and more), and as an Engineer he knows how to capture that performance perfectly. He also put me in contact with a great group of professional musicians and mixing and mastering engineers who added so much talent and depth to the overall sound of this project. At many studios that are located in Michigan, you’ll get cheap rates and a disconnected engineer who is just there to clock in and clock out. Jeff is committed to the project from start to finish, and he doesn’t watch the clock or allow you to play or sing a part you’ll later realize had no business on your album. He does what a good studio should do: he captures you at your best. If you’re a local musician, you can get a great album made at a great price(as about his deals), and for a professional full-time musician, you can end up tracking your rhythm section in LA like I did, and then finish the rest of the record back at his studio in Michigan. There are no limits with Jeff; he adds to and enhances everything you do as a musician, and he doesn’t get in the way of your art, so your only limitation is you. He’s easy to work with from a business perspective too. My advice, if you take your music seriously, see Jeff, take his advice, and set aside a budget in the amount you think your album is worth. His rates are very reasonable, and you’ll end up with much more than your dollar’s worth. If you’ve written songs that you don’t value, you can go record them on the cheap if you’d like, but if you’ve written songs that you believe in and want to share with the world, go to Jeff.
