There are only 2 things in Plymouth: crappy tshirt stores and nice antique stores. Oh, they have the rock too. You know, Plymouth Rock? The one that our ancestors supposedly first set foot on? As if that could be proven? Did you know the rock isn’t even it’s whole self? It was cut in half and the other half is in a meeting-house or town hall or some such place. Oh — there is Plymouth Village which is nice to visit. But as for modern-day Plymouth proper — just crummy souvenier shops and antique stores. The Antique stores are very nice — many of them 2 floors and chock-full of unique items. Lots of character there. Unless you want a hat shaped like the butt-end of a turkey. Then you go to those OTHER stores…

I’ll represent the PLY. Here, it’s all about the 1620. Now, I know Jamestown is trying to step in with some 1607BS or something, but we are America’s Hometown. Plus, biggest town in MA, which means… well, we have some sweet back roads to cruise around on. There’s a lot of history here, if you know how to avoid the tourist traps. My personal favorite is the four fathers monument hidden away down a back road downtown… but i wont tell you which back road!
