I have been here a few times and the food has been great-good. However, I was eating in the restraint and kept seeing amazing pizza coming out and being served. So I ordered one to go and when I got home it was not like anything that was being served in the restaurant. It was worse than a frozen Tony’s pizza. Very disappointed.

Food is too inconsistent. When it is good it is good, but you never know. It is the best food at the bottom of snowshoe, if you have the time go up to thevillag and try foxfire.

Came in with a GIANT group, 30+ people. The food was amazing, the service was quick, everything was very reasonably priced. I hardly ever write reviews but people should know how much this place rules!

We arrived around 8:45pm. So the place was nearly empty and staff was cleaning up. We were worried that we would not get good food or service. But thankfully we were very wrong. Good was so good that I actually forgot to take photos of them before we dug into them. We orders the pork sliders for apps, steak and fries for me, burger and fries for Steve and a plain cheese pizza for our son. The food was great. Pizza disappeared and my son declared it «awesome». The steak was just right and the burger, I didn’t get a chance to take a bite. :-(it was so good that he forgot to offer me a bite!!! Either we were starving or this place was good. We will definitely have to come back again!

I was in the Snowshoe area with a friend who has a cabin nearby, and we came to the Fiddlehead for dinner. The bar and restaurant has a very nice layout, with a decent selection of alcohol and beer. I was informed by the waitress that the restaurant and bar have a new owner, who is also the chef. With that in mind the old reviews are no longer accurate in my opinion. The food menu is simple, but has lots of great options. I was immediately intrigued by the pork belly sliders. Being from Las Vegas, I’ve had my fair share of excellent and very bad sliders. My buddy ordered the falafel burger and tortellini soup, and I rolled the dice on the sliders(even though I was eyeing the pimiento cheese organic burger). My buddy looked at me hesitantly because he knows how picky I am about my sliders! A few beers later, the food arrived. A great slider or burger can be ruined by a stale or bad bun, and I quickly checked my order. The buns were perfect and slightly toasted inside. The pork belly(double cooked) was a perfect square cube of succulent pig meat, topped with a light slaw and dark glaze. After the first bite, I was in(hog) heaven. The inside seemed baked to a hot, juicy perfection, while the outside was deep fried to add the crispy chew. Well done chef! My buddy loved the falafel burger, and the fries were great as well. I sampled a bite of the soup, with hearty ripe tomatoes and tortellini, which could have been a little more al dente. All the food came out hot, and seemed very fresh. Our waitress, Brittany was super nice and helpful. For my first trip to West Virginia, this food was great. Don’t hesitate to eat at the Fiddlehead!

This is hands down one of the best places within 30 miles. The food and service was better that what we got up on too of the mountain and you can’t beat the price. We had several of their hand-made pizzas and they were very accommodating to extra requests. We also tried the brisket chili which was divine! Add in some local brews, live music on Saturdays and good music, and you cannot miss. I can imagine them getting a little overloaded if there is a large crowd, but the food would still be worth it! Highly recommend!

Food was pretty good(especially the nachos and fish tacos). However, our waitress was not so good. We were a party of 6 and ordered 2 pizzas along with other things. Food came out sporadically and only 1 pizza. The waitress kept saying the other pizza would be out shortly and we waited… and waited. Over the next 30 minutes, we counted 7 pizzas(including the type we ordered) delivered to other tables. Another 10 minutes and we finally got our pie. Also tried to order dessert… apple crisp was available but a la mode option. Waitress helpfully suggested buying ice cream at the adjacent gas station LOL! No apology from the manager and no offer to comp the pizza. 3.5 stars for food, but 2 for service.

Be glad you have found food here, I hope you are here Wednesday thru Sunday, between 4−10pm. Now that we have the schedule down the food. The menu is not very large, but they make up for it. The Bistro Burger. about half pound(not round), grilled onions(about two inches thick), lettuce, tomato, and plenty of Blue Cheese. The burger comes on artistan bun, on its fits(part of 8.95 price too). I opted for the appetizer of fries and three different dips instead of fresh made chips. I got chips anyway, they were good too — thick and not burnt. If you are a sweet tea person — Luzanne Sweet Tea and its perfect. This should be on you agend here, the parking lot is tiny.
