Very nice staff. They were fast and good food. The price and food were average and it’s generally the same thing you get anywhere. With that being said, I didn’t try anything out of my comfort zone and they had lots to chose from. I would visit again

Bring a big appetite when you dine here — the portions are generous and the food is so good you will want to eat it all! This is a clean and attractive restaurant with a friendly and helpful staff. If we weren’t traveling through Pocatello this is a place we come back to frequently.

Not sure what happened with our visit regarding all the positive reviews, but we will not be returning to this establishment. Arrived early for dinner before the crowd so thought the service and food would be acceptable at the very least. My burrito was warm at best and service was not the greatest. Felt like we were interrupting more than being a customer. Hopefully this was just a fluke.

So delicious! Service was fast & friendly. They have vegetarian options! I’m a vegetarian & I got a super burrito with whole beans instead of refried. They even brought me a little bowl of whole beans to go with the complimentary chips, salsa & refried beans! The four carnivores I dined with were happy with their food too. My husband got the chicken fajitas & was happily stuffed. They even brought us a little complimentary dessert at the end. It was a fried piece of tortilla with whipped cream, honey & cinnamon. Really hit the spot.

Outstanding experience. Authentic salsa, frijoles with your chips. I had #51, a crab shrimp chimichanga with brand and rice. Delicious! And portion sizes are LARGE. Service was quick. Well be back.

This review is after our first and only visit so far. My wife wanted Mexican for her birthday so we went here. We have eaten at 3 other Mexican restaurants in Pocatello and never been very pleased. This one was worth writing a review for. My wife had the El Caporal burrito. I got the Fajitas El Caporal. The shrimp on the fajitas was excellent, the cheese and bacon with it made it one of the best fajitas I have ever had. Service was excellent. Our daughter (15 months old) spilled her water everywhere and they were very prompt and courteous as they cleaned it up. The building is new and very clean inside. Tons of flavor in the sides and guacamole. We will be going back.

Excellent food, fantastic service, awesome margaritas! This has become my GO TO fave for Mexican food! They gutted the old place that was there and it’s nice, clean, and an enjoyable atmosphere. The servers are very friendly and accommodating. Worth visiting.

Visiting Poky and looking for a good mexican restaurant. Found it. Good chips and salsa, liked they served side of refried beans with chips. Service was great. Waited a little long for food but it was Cinco de Mayo so they get a pass on that. Food came and it was great. Final touch was a free dessert with the check. Highly recommend.

I don’t understand the positive reviews. I was completely underwhelmed by this food. It is difficult to screw up Mexican food, but somehow restaurants in Pocatello find a way (Herradero excluded). Bland food, sickening sweet margaritas with little tequila; in fact 3 people in my party (out of 6) didn’t finish eating their food because it was so bad. Maybe it was an off-​day, i don’t know, and I am not going to find out. On the pro side, the atmosphere is nice and clean, ample parking, and a great location. you know, all the stuff that make food taste good.

This is our second time, both the service and the food is of excellent quality. The portions and the price definitely make it worth stopping. Today I had the Carnitas Res, and my spouse had a Burrito. I also had a Watermelon Margarita, yummy! We could come in for the Margarita’s themselves!

I judge most Mexican restaurants by their chips and salsa. The chips are ok but the salsa is great. Their bean dip is very good and I rarely eat beans. I ordered enchiladas and they were very good. Also, their guacamole is great. Very clean, great friendly service, good prices. I’ll be back.

Most Mexican places in the area seem to be carbon copies of each-​other. The food here looks like the others, but the flavor seems to be… just better. I’m happy with the food, prices, and service.
This is a great place for a good, filling, inexpensive lunch.

My date and I went here recently and both got burritos. The portions were huge, especially the giant fajita burrito which basically took up the entire plate.

The style/​flavor wasn’t authentic (as far as I know) but it was close enough and really tasty. The horchata was unlimited as well, which was both good (tasty!) and bad (for my weight loss goals! ha!)
They had some decent microbrew/​craftbrew on the menu too, but I can’t remember what it was.
We will certainly be coming back.
