This spot was recommended to us by an instructor at the training we’re attending at Wallops Island. We made the drive up from Chincoteague based on it. Pretty big mistake. We went on a Wednesday night. There was only one Bartender/server for the entire restaurant as far as I could tell. She was the only redeeming feature of the evening. As the evening progressed we could see her mounting frustration with her co-workers. We waited quite a while for our food, and only one dish came out hot. My buddy’s potato skins came out completely cold, and another friend, who ordered the crabcake dinner, got a fried shrimp platter instead. The Potato skins were re-heated inadequately in a microwave, and the crabcake came out eventually. The fries were pretty good. I ordered the Carolina BBQ sandwich. Which came out warm, but with cold BBQ sauce. The bartender comped us a drink each in a last valiant effort to make up for the kitchen’s poor showing. I suppose this place would be good if you just came for drinks and french fries. The location and view are superb. I would never return here with an intent to eat a meal.

Beautiful ambience right next to the river. Caesar Salad fantastic, best croutons I have had. Mahi Mahi, both grilled and blackened, were absolutely delicious. Mashed potatoes fresh made from red potatoes. Definitely a 5 star experience. Very nice server, Katy. Ask for her.

Edible but not enjoyable!!! It amazes me how bland some food can be and this was the epitome of no seasoning flat tasting food. It’s really impressive how the ratings are apparently not influencing change in the restaurant. Let’s start with the crabby chicken. A chicken breast slathered with a crab dip covered in cheese. The chicken breast was not dry but again bland. The dip was not good and tasted like doctored pre-made dip from a low end crab shop. The presentation was well… see the picture for yourself. My wife ordered the ale shrimp. Again, bland and no seasoning in the supposedly ale batter. The saving grace for this restaurant was the beautiful scenery and decent service. We were passing through on our way to Crisfield Maryland and stopped due to the Unilocal reviews. I believe in giving people a chance but this time the reviews were right giving a rating of two stars or lower. DON’T BEAFRAIDOFSEASONINGYOURFOODANDTASTINGITASYOUARECOOKING. If the cook would do this — it’s no way bland food with such poor presentation at these prices could pass as quality food.

While the food here is quite good and the location overlooking the river is lovely the atmosphere in the restaurant leaves much to be desired. It is very noisy and the manager, who is apparently the son of the owners has no concern for the customers. Today as I sat having lunch with friends there was a screaming baby in the restaurant. Despite many patrons commenting to their waitresses nothing was done. When we asked to speak with the manager we were told he would not come speak with us because he was busy and then we were informed that the child belonged to one of the staff and so it was an awkward situation and no one felt comfortable doing anything. The manager never came out, never apologized for the situation, and refused to address any of the customers complaints. I won’t be going back any time soon.

My daughter, friend and I traveled to Pokomoke to eat lunch, and enjoy each others’ company as well as the view of the river. A few minutes after being seated, a toddler began screaming like a banshee. That went on unabated for several minutes. It continued, intermittently, until right before we left. When we asked the server to speak with the people and ask one parent to take the child outside, she said, «it is awkward for us because the child’s mother works here, and we don’t want to interrupt her service. The father doesn’t want to discipline the child». We asked to speak with the manager. We were told, «He is too busy». I finally went to the front, demanded to speak with the manager, who was the owners’ son. I was told nothing could be done because the mother was an employee. We were told several customers had complained. We asked for an adjustment to our bill and were told that was impossible. TERRIBLE.

This place is beautiful, girls are very nice and friendly. Food was ok. Crab cakes not good, taste like tap water. If this restaurant is managed by a professional chef I have no doubt that ot will be a super restaurant. Don’t waste your money on the margaritas.

This place has a great view. The food was really good. We started w the loaded fries and seared tuna. The burgers are great. Help was friendly. They have a band coming tonight, wish we coulda stayed to see. This place is out of our way and we hit it on the way to Busch gardens. will definitely stop in if and when in town again. If you’re in area, try it out.

Not the best seafood selection here. The tuna was just very dry, the jambalaya was abit cold and pretty tasteless. The only dish that was somewhat decent was the clam strips. Strips are bigger than the ones at white castle.

I’m a recent import to Pocomoke and the Eastern Shore and moved in only 1 block from Riverside Grill. It is such a great place to go for food and/or drinks. They have an extensive drink menu, very good beer selection, and a menu with just the right amount of selection. This place features different daily specials so there is always something new to eat. The first thing I had to eat here was the jambalaya. It was one of the best I have ever had. I have also had the Chicken Cheese Steak sandwich. It was good, but could’ve used some more seasoning, The service here is EXCELLENT and I know I will find myself being a regular here. They also have a nice patio and tiki bar for the warmer months which I am excited to experience.

Riverside is a good choice for lunch or dinner if in the Pocomoke area. I go here at least once a month, and the food has always been solid. Burger night on Thursdays is a great deal. They also have good fries, steak subs, and salads. Live music many weekends. Great outdoor seating with a bar just opened by the river. Prices are fair, and the view of the river is nice; lots of Windows in the place. Fun stop for a good meal.

Stopped there on my way to Chincoteague, been there many times before, food has always been good and service has been excellent. That being said my last visit Friday wasn’t. Ordered the gumbo which is alway s great my husband ordered the seafood chowder, both were brought to the table barely warm. We also ordered a basket of fries which were also just warm. How disappointing that lunch was Since all the food was served warm, I have to assume it was a server issue. There was a Christmas party going on while we were there. Hopefully that was the cause of the cold food, and not the new norm.

Nice little place on the river. Apparently they had live music but it was over by the time we arrived at 8 pm. Cheeseburgers were really good, served hot, exactly as we ordered. The loaded cheese fries platter is enough for 4 or more people. Jerk chicken app very good, maybe a little small. We were just passing through and didn’t want a corporate chain dinner.

I first ate here when they first opened and wasn’t satisfied with the food. I ate here again during one of the boat docking contests and i have to say it was a lot better. I don’t know if they got a better cook or better quality food. Whatever it was is keep it up. The place was busy but that didn’t stop them from giving us great service. Staff was friendly and it was a good experience all around. Great scenic view of the Pocomoke River.

Lunch items: Very tasty sausage soup & mildly salty chicken salad croissant sandwich. The sandwich was tasty but the chicken salad was too salty. Great customer service and atmosphere(water view seating). French fries are really good & the honey mustard is very good!
