Great park, but always empty. This park has everything a family could want for a quick bit of outdoor fun. I just wish that I saw other families here from time to time. It makes me sad that my 10 year old is usually the only child playing on the well kept playground equipment! The park features– A playground, nicely sanded and well maintained. A softball field, which I do see people using on a regular basis. A pool, which I’ve never seen used. Could have something to do with the fact that it is June 6th and currently 48 degrees. A walking path, which is lovely and just long enough to fool you into thinking you’ve gone somewhere. A picnic/bbq area, which I’ve seen used once or twice. It is next to the playground, which made my child happy, as the kids from the picnic were all in the playground area. The only bad thing I can say about this park is that dogs are not allowed. We bring our well behaved dog, anyway, because there is generally no one to tell us that we have to leave. My mother was stopped one day, and a maintenance worker told her that the dog should not be there, but then he smiled at the dog and walked away. That was months ago, and nothing else has been said, even though we are here at least once a week. My hope is that people will begin to utilize this park, and that they will bring their dogs. Adding a dog park to the front section of this park would be a wonderful benefit, as there are very few safe places to let a dog run free in this area.
