no longer in business. Sad to see it go. This area is in desperate need of different ethnic food and this place fit the bill. I think the location sucked.

We waited awhile to try this place because it’s a bit of a drive from our house and now I regret it because the food is AWESOME… and sadly, they’re closing at the end of the month. It is so, so hard to find good, diverse food around here and this Vietnamese food is wonderful. Everything we’ve had there(we tried to fit in as many trips as we could!) was delicious and fresh. There is little on the menu that we didn’t try and we loved it all. The carmelized catfish stands out as a unique and very yummy dish. The servers are all friendly and the murals on the walls really impressed our kids. We are so incredibly sad to see them go. I definitely think the location hurt them. They’re literally in the back of a run down truck stop and there aren’t even any signs along the main road for people to know it’s there. I REALLY hope they consider opening a place closer to the Clinton area. So many people are dying for something new and tasty and this would be perfect. If they found a good little spot, it could be a gold mine for them! Good luck to them, and I hope we see them soon in a new place!

Phở Little Saigon 78 is an excellent place to find authentic Vietnamese phở and the food is always freshly made to your order. Since it opened, we’ve been there almost every weekend and have tried practically every item on the menu. With the winter months approaching, we were really looking forward to having their delicious hot phở, unfortunately as all good things must end, the owners have announced on Nov. 16th that they will be closing shop and their last day of business is Nov. 27, 2013. It is really really sad to see them go. If you haven’t been there yet, you still have a few days to do so.

This place was a pleasant surprise. I had a bit of trouble finding the location with Apple Maps on my iPhone, but I soon found it after looking for the truck stop with the yellow sign. The large phở soup #11 was terrific. I also ordered 2 of their special baguette beef sandwiches and 2 orders of the shrimp and pork clear spring rolls to go which were all excellent. Before I left the restaurant I noticed their daily specials sign said that they are going to be closing permanently on November 27, 2013. I will need to go back soon to have some more of their great food before they’re closed.

Fantastic place, I’ll be back! I had the #33 grilled shrimp and beef BBQ. It was the bomb! Service was great! I want to try many more dishes from this place.

The location of this restaurant couldn’t be stranger. If it weren’t the sign of vietnamese food, we’d think the restaurant was part of the truck stop. It’s pretty spacious inside. I ordered a large phở beef, well, it did come in a big bowl, but somehow there was too much soup. I expected a bit more ingredients. However, the soup was flavorful and beef was tender. The bubble tea was good too. This place is a gem in a deserted area between NY and NJ.

This is an amazing place. Phở, sizzling carmelized catfish, cucumber salad, lemongrass chicken: it’s all great. It’s all cheap. Diet coke is $ 1.25. The most expensive thing on the menu is $ 9.95. Nicest atmosphere– in– a –truck stop award winner. Nice family and smiling service. Great place.

Yayyy! FINALLY A VIETPLACEIN8865! I never knew there was a restaurant there until I came across it on Unilocal. Seeing plenty of 5 stars review on Unilocal and I decide I have to try it! The location of the restaurant is bad because you literally have to DRIVEINTO the truck parking lot. My girlfriend and I went there Tuesday morning and they were close =( Who closes on a Tuesday? We went back on Thursday morning and had our brunch. It’s very small dining area, probably due to its a family owned restaurant. She had Phở, which is the typical noodle soup with meat and vegies. She was surprised when she said«It taste just like 8 ave!»(8 Ave in Brooklyn have many Viet restaurants“ I had the noodle with shrimp and pork along with spring rolls as appetizer. We loved it and the staffs were nice. We will definitely come back when we have the Viet food craving or just cause we feel like it! =]

Let me start off by saying that the exterior of the building and its location don’t do this restaurant justice. Once you make your way inside, you forget that you’re at a truck stop between Jersey and PA. I went there tonight for the first time with my wife and a couple friends and we were all very impressed with the quality of food. I ordered the Vermicelli BBQ Beef and my wife ordered one of the many different bowls of Phở. Both were phenomenal. If you’re in the area and like Vietnamese style cuisine, then don’t pass up the opportunity to eat here. Also, definitely order some bubble tea.

We have been to Little Saigon twice in the last week for the Phở! It’s a great little place, located near the highway at a truck stop. It’s a little strange to get to but well worth it! For vegetarians/vegans there are a few options: Pad Thai, Phở(YUMM!!!), and Vietnamese vegetable rolls with a peanut sauce. All of these dishes are very good, and I’m sure the accommodating staff would generously make you custom food.

Highly recommended. Drive past several times. This time I stopped for lunch. A little hard to find as it’s located in a truck stop. Very friendly people and extensive menu. Haven’t had Vietnamese food before, a very authentic taste. Reasonable priced. Eat-in or take-away. Definitely will visit again.

When I learned that a Vietnamese restaurant had opened in Warren County, at the Penn-Jersey Truck stop of all places, I certainly did not expect much. Having lived in the area for over twenty years I have learned that ethnic restaurants are mediocre at best, then they close. I reluctantly decided to give it a try hoping that it was at least«OK», so that I didn’t have to travel to Middlesex County to satisfy my fix for Vietnamese food. I certainly did not expect authentic Vietnamese food, but when I walked in and saw the appropriate condiments on the tables I thought to myself that this might just be the real deal. I usually order food that I am familiar with and use this as a barometer of the quality of the menu. I ordered a Vietnamese coffee, an order of fresh spring rolls and a bowl of Bun Bo Hue. All I can say is that the food went well beyond my expectations and I could not believe that Vietnamese food this good is now located in my back yard. In fact, I don’t see a need to travel out of the area for my fix. I agree with other reviewers and urge you to try this place so that they stay in business. Pease give it a try.

Wow. Didn’t expect this in Pohatcong of all places. My daughter was visiting from Brooklyn, home of the cool and hip. We needed to get take out for dinner on Saturday night, and with some trepidation, we decided to go to Phở Little Saigon 78. It’s at the Penn-Jersey truck stop on Route 22, right before the entrance to Route 78. Strange enough, but let’s give it a chance. FYI, the best was to access the restaurant it to make the right after the Ferguson. Pleasantly surprised as soon as we walked in the door. It looked like a diner outfitted with some Asian pictures. There were a couple of people eating with gusto. Good sign. We sat at the counter with the owner’s four-year old who was eating cereal and reviewed the take out menu. The owner also handed out the regular menu so we could see pictures of the food and was so helpful and friendly. We ordered Phở, the rice noodle soup with the eye round and brisket which comes with sprouts, cilantro basis leaves, jalapeño and lime slices, the spring rolls, Bánh mì with Vietnamese ham(baguette with mayo, carrots, white radish cucumber slices, cilantro and jalapeño). With regard to the Phở, he told us to put the meats and vegetables into a large bowl, heat the broth(which was in a separate container) in a pan, and pour into the bowl, and then squeeze the provided lime. Oh, by the way, while we waiting for our order, we ordered bubble tea. Bubble tea in Pohatcong! FYI, it’s a BYOB if you want to eat in. The food was sublime… the fragrance of the Phở broth mixed with the meat and noodles was amazing. The eye round was better than the brisket in the Phở. The bread for the sandwich was great. I would like to know where they source their bread, as bread like that is hard to come by here. The spring rolls were good, but I would probably try the egg rolls or the cucumber salad next time. Next time, will also want to try the Bun with grilled shrimp and beef BBQ and/or the caramelized catfish. Daughter said the food was exactly what she would expect. I asked her to compare the Chinese food in the area to what she gets to Brooklyn. She revised her evaluation of the restaurant upward. I can’t wait to go back. Please, if you like good Vietnamese good, visit this restaurant. I need them to stay in business!

In area devoid of good ethnic cuisine of any kind(Warren County, NJ) Phở Little Saigon 78 is a welcome addition. Oddly located at the Penn-Jersey Truck stop where Rt 22 joins I-78 at exit 3, it’s a nice little place once you get inside. Phở was flavorful. I ordered one with soft tendon and tripe, I’m not sure I received any tendon, but he tripe was good and not too tough. Bahn mi was good, as were the spring rolls. Prices were very reasonable. Best of luck to the friendly owners. I hope they do well! I look forward to returning and trying more of the menu.
