Wow! Awesome coffee. Up visiting from the SF Bay Area, and had to come by everyday. If you love well made flavorful espresso drinks, this place is the bomb. Nice people too. The sandwiches looked equally yummy, but my husband wanted a beer with his lunch so we went upstairs to the chowder house.

I have been going down to the cove since it opened. I’m not handin out my 5 stars willy nilly everyone, this place is really worth it! Every time I walk in, without fail, I’m greeted by the man or woman behind the counter. They are funny and polite and when my son goes with me, they always treat him like a person rather than treating him like a nuisance. This is rare now a days. Not only is the service exceptional but the food… Oh the food… Everything they cook is made to order! The choices are vast and the food is made with care and it shows with very bite you take. They also have tea and coffee with all the sweetening options you can think of. Great place! This is where us locals spend our money!

I didn’t know my mother wanted to get an iced tea upstairs at the chowder house, so I got a soda and a fruit strip snack here. I’m pretty sure I enjoyed both. Service was maybe haphazard, but nice so, s’all good. Feels like a local yokel scene. Dig it.

AMAZINGSANDWICHES and COFFEE!!! The Obama is now a favorite of ours! We just had our wedding down in the cove at the WHARFMASTERSINN above and our entire wedding party was thrilled with the service and coffee from this lovely little friendly place! SO much so we ate them out of Bacon and a lot of other items while we were there last week ! You wont be dissapointed in the friendlily staff and great coffee and food available!

Small locally run coffee shop. With great prices and a even greater sandwich. There’s not too many places to get a meal here. But this is enough — the owners are so pleasant and friendly. Their turkey/bacon/tomatoes/cranberry relish on a cibatta roll is incredible. It makes your mouth so happy!

I’d say that this is where the locals go because everyone here knows everyone else by name! Went on a mini-vacation to Point Arena and stumbled upon this coffee shop. It is off the main drag at the Pier, but make sure you don’t miss it. I had a coconut latte… thought I could only get those in Hawaii. Exciting for a lactose intolerant gal, this place had every single kind of non-dairy option available for making coffee — coconut milk, almond milk, soy… My drink was delicious. I also heard two locals commenting about their sandwiches. It was only good things and I saw those sandwiches. I wanted to take a bite out of one of them, but I didn’t think that’d go over too well! Also an awesome find for those paddling, surfer, water sport types(like myself), this place sells water booties, board/boat leashes, surfing attire, Dakine water systems, straps, and more. For those non-water sport people, they have goodies too — shirts, coffee mugs, and tye-dye bags. Can’t wait to go back, enjoy the coast and a cup of coffee.

Great way to start my day! Having bypassed the continental breakfast at the hotel where we stayed, I enjoyed a couple mornings at this café. Day one, I sat amongst several tables of locals(mostly commercial fisherman) and just enjoyed listening to the banter and comraderie! I was absolutely the odd-gal-out but it was okay! My Americano was as good as anywhere else and it came with a free refill of regular coffee so my 1.5 hour stay was quite pleasant. Read the paper, met a bunch of genuine folk and ended with a turkey and cranberry sandwich on a whole wheat bagel. There was one other place in town but I’d choose Cove Coffee over the arena market if for no other reason than the ambience.

We ran in here for a quick spot of coffee before continuing on the journey so the BF got a drip and I got a mocha. I have to admit, I wasn’t that pleased with my mocha. It was okay but very… milky. That’s the best way I could put it. His coffee was just fine but for my drink I was a wee bit disappointed.

We were buying gas at Point Arenas(do not ask the cost because I want to forget it) and asked the guy who was pumping our gas(honest to goodness, there was no self service option) where a good place for breakfast might be. He mentioned a place back on the road that we had passed and were not taken with as the only place. But, I said, what about all of these other places around here I see offering breakfast? Oh, if you don’t want a sit down breakfast??? No, sez I, just a sandwich and half way decent coffee. Well, if you don’t mind mixing with the locals ??? Sounds like my kind of place sez I. So he directed us to this place. Not being even remotely local I would never have found it if I had not asked. It is down by a pier, pretty industrial looking, not a bit touristy. We found the place and by some chance got to walk right up to the counter(there was a line behind us by the time we finished ordering), ordered a sandwich and coffee for me and tea for Judit. Service was very pleasant. The coffee(in a mug, not paper) was very good. Another reviewer commented on it not being very hot and if that was important to me I would too. Judit’s tea was very hot though and she really appreciated that. Then the sandwiches came. WHY they were so good I am not sure. I mean it was your usual egg, meat(sausage for me, bacon for Judit) and cheese on an English muffin just like McDonald’s but they were very good. Maybe it was because they were piping hot, maybe just excellent ingredients or maybe we were just very hungry. The place itself is pretty laid back, people sitting chatting at tables, a smile if you need to say excuse me. Then they had all these books for their customers to read. Just a very comfortable place.

Got both drinks to go. My chai latte was half filled with foam and luke warm. The mocha was luke warm as well. Wouldn’t recommend.

If you don’t eat for any sort of length of time… and you happen to crave a Poppy Seed bagel spread with Pesto… this is your place — in fact… it’s on the menu! That’s right Unilocal…“Woohoo! As good as it gets!” is how you say, «I am in the middle of nowhere and I’m craving something surely too specific for the next business to offer, welp, allbedamned! Poppy&Pesto!» Good form!

I think Nate read Dahlia’s review. I had a BLT there yesterday, which was great. The T was homegrown, says Nate. Given the sweet taste, I believe him. We happened to stumble upon the Cove Coffee by accident, because Franny’s bakery was closed. I’m the pastry and croissant kind of guy when it comes to breakfast(well, any meal if I could), so Nate’s BLT had a difficult job making up for that disappointment. But it did a splendid job.

Very cute coffee shop located in the Cove in Point Arena. I couldn’t tell you the address but can tell you that you just follow the signs that point toward the Cove. There’s a small eating/shopping center at the bottom of the hill/driveway…surfing and fishing… Anyways, BF apparently comes here for breakfast once in while and gets a sausage sandwich. Because I require coffee to become a normal person before noon, he suggested Cove Coffee. The shop is run by a cute couple and apparently is a hang out for locals(very chill atmosphere… couch…small tables– cozy conversation between regs). Nate was the only one running the show this fine Sunday morning… I actually ordered a Nate Special(english muffin, egg, sausage, swiss, avocado, pesto and red onion)…and a latte. Love ordered his usual and a white mocha. Nate’s a cool guy with some jokes in his arsenal. We browsed and picked out a lovely«Cove Coffee» Hoody while we waited for our food… My sandwich was VERY good… a slice of tomato would’ve made it perfect. Coffee was good– just not hot enough for me(it was a windy day and we sat outside to eat). The setting is straight out of a Nicholas Sparks novel minus the drama. Cost was easy on the wallet… and food was good on the palette. This is going to be my all-time breakfast stop during my visits to the coast… cheap, fast and easy(like ME!:))
