Best scones in Northern California. Get their scones! You walk into a tiny bakery, and there’s awesome breakfast items, and it’s completely precious inside the bakery. Get the scones. I can’t repeat myself enough.

I’m a bit torn about this place. Local told me about it and after reading Unilocal reviews, I decided to try this place. Don’t get me wrong. They were delicious, but they were a bit pricey and cash only. I did not know about it, and thankfully I had enough cash to cover, but it would’ve been nice to know. Point Arena is a quant town and everything are a bit cheaper than say, Bodega Bay. But price here is more Bodega Bay price than Point Arena.

Had the savory bread pudding today with bacon, artichoke hearts, roasted garlic, tomatoes and cheese. Eyes rolled back in my head.

We have been at the coast for about a week and have visited Franny’s three times(thus far) The good: There is so much about this place that is good. First, we wanted to give a gift certificate to some friends for Christmas(we are from out of town) and Franny was VERY helpful in ensuring that it arrived in time. Next, while the store is small, when you enter it is an olfactory overload(and I mean that on a good way). The first day it was bacon and the last time it was the cheeses. We eat with all our senses and Franny’s food definitely passes the sight and smell tests The food is phenomenal. Probably the softest cookie I have ever had(peanut butter chocolate chip). Was still soft after 2 days and was extremely flavorful. The gluten free macaroons have a hint of lemon and are fantastic. I also enjoyed her croque-monsier and the cheese twist. The not so good: Would be nice if she took plastic; however, I do not begrudge her for operating with cash and checks Overall: I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Best food we had on this trip came from Franny’s. Look forward to our next visit for more

This is the best bakery I have encountered on the West Coast! We first stopped in on our way out of town and bought two Obamalicious cookies having no idea how good they were. We had to turn the car around and buy more! The pizzas are also amazing, the sauce was tangy and the dough was perfect. Don’t miss it, its a destination!

Absolutely wonderful little place, so happy we ventured into Point Arena. Unfortunately did not have time to try any of the real desserts before we departed the area but the breakfast pastries alone were phenomenal! Picked out a white cheddar and apple scone, lemon blueberry morning bun, gluten free raspberry rosemary oat crumble bar, and a pumpkin cheesecake muffin. All were so yummy, particularly loved GF bar, not too sweet and perfect for breakfast! Better than most bakeries back home, so sad they’re closed Sun/Mon/Tues. Love looking through all of the merchandise and crafts for sale too!

Miss Franny is a joy to work with! She constructed the sweetest«naked» wedding cake for our wedding as well as a gorgeous dessert table. She listened to our vision for our day and we could not have been happier! Our small cutting cake was decorated with succulents and flowers and sat on an exquisite metal cake stand that complimented our vintage theme. Thank you Franny!

Franny’s is the best thing Point Arena has going for it, it’s an absolute must stop if you’re in the area. Honestly this is my all-time favorite bakery anywhere for dessert-type baked goods. Everything is wonderful here, there really isn’t anything I don’t like. The snicker-doodles and raspberry cupcakes are among my favorites. This little business painted bright blue is super-charming too with a small selection of jewelry, children’s toys and other trinkets. Do check the hours before you go, so you can plan your trip accordingly to avoid disappointment. Cash or check only. Other interesting things to do in Point Arena include catching a movie at the theater across the street, dinner at Uneda Eat across the street(they have really limited hours also), and hiking the Stornetta trail starting from city hall. If hiking the trail try to go on a clear day, the view of the harbor and coastline is stunning.

Talking to Franny and planning our wedding cake has been one of the best parts of the entire wedding planning experience. In addition to being one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, she is a fabulous baker. Are you recently engaged and into cake-tasting? Put the Barcelona in your face place.

There are two things that I am certain of when I travel through Point Arena California: 1) I will see drunks stumbling around town. 2) I will stop at Franny’s for amazing baked goods. It’s a tiny shop full of some of the best baked items you will ever try. I had one of their macaroons which was large, moist and had great flavor and texture and a scone which included bacon and dates. I thought the scone might be on the savory side but it was definitely more sweet. I unfortunately arrived too late in the day to get any of their savory items so I’ll have to try again the next time I’m in town. If you are travelling on the Shoreline Hwy through Point Arena be sure to do yourself a favor and stop at Franny’s!

Unbelievably good food. The orange cardamom sticky bun was truly amazing. A crème filled donut, cookies and pizza were our other treats to take on our road trip. When we head back down the coast, we will surely stop there again!

Thankful we took our own groceries when we went to Point Arena for a week of vacation. Not much looked appealing for places to eat out, BUT then Franny’s was discovered and WOW. They had delicious pastries. Huckleberry Danish was perfect and the Berry Muffins I have never had anything so fresh. Best bakery ever.

Franny’s is by far the best bakery in this region. It is head and shoulders above Trink’s or Two Fish. I think the cranberrry/blueberry muffin is possibly the best muffin I have ever eaten. Wow. We are just stunned at the variety of baked goods offered at Franny’s. They have everything from cookies to cakes, croissants to pies. Everything is fresh and fabulous. I would grow too large to fit through the front door if I lived nearby. We will stop by every time we pass through Pt Arena.

Woah. Excellent pastries. Too bad my husband and I could only split 5(2 visits)! Peach muffin is not too sweet, and moist. Wish the ginger cookie were more gingery. Peanut butter chocolate cookie was«OK.» Local huckleberries. I want to try everything here! Latte was … decent, but not that rich creaminess that Black Oak of Ukiah has perfected. Cash only, and on the pricier side, but worth it. No sugar-free options.

Frannie made our wedding cake and cupcakes, and they were so delicious! Frannie was very enthusiastic and fun to communicate with as well as prompt to respond. She delivered our cake and procured the organic flowers. I highly recommend her for your wedding!

Delicious pastries and nice service. The store is just adorable! We tried their Chocolate Almond Tart which was very nice — maybe just a slight but too heavy for my taste but still good. My absolute favorite was the Cashew Cookie with that amazing cream on top. Just wish I had bought about a dozen of them :)
