We have tried to eat here several times in the past, but unfortunately it was always on a Sunday and they were closed. Today we finally had lunch and we were not disappointed. Portions are generous so we got dessert to go. Looking forward to having that later tonight.

The restaurant itself is super cute! And they have a lot of stuff to choose from especially if you have a sweet tooth!!! I ordered the philly cheese steak. I was disappointed that it came with the fries and I didn’t think to ask for anything else. The fries were grease lines. That’s I am sure slide right out of you. I had my eyes on the cookies and I really wish that I had gotten one and it tasted the pies:(I love pies. My fiancé and daughter ordered the cake that looked chocolate but had a hint of PB in it! I don’t care all that much for PB but it was great!!! The service was okay. I think they were doing the best they could given a full house Everyone seemed to know everyone. It was overall a cut spot!

The restaurant is adorable and the pie and cake display is very impressive when you walk in. We came for dessert. The lemon meringue pie was good, the crust was a little chewy and the filling very tart. The coconut custard pie was delicious, sweet with toasted coconut and the crust was flaky. It’s off the beaten path and worth the trip!

The website says that they serve breakfast until 11:30, on Saturdays, which is not the case. We drove for a while to eat breakfast there and arrived well before 11:30. The owner said there was no way for us to be served breakfast. While we waited 30 minutes for the food we ordered, we saw two other tables being served breakfast food. I don’t know if we will be back here with the blatant disregard for the customer, but also because of the plethora of flies that are flying around the dining room. I can only imagine the kitchen.

Love it. What a find in such a small town. This little house turned restaurant can be hard to spot, but once you find it you’ll be glad you did. This place screams fresh, local, and homemade. From the deserts you can spot to your left as you walk in to the specials on the glass window, everything seems to be made in house. I went for breakfast with a coworker and decided to try the western omelette. It was delicious, I’m pretty sure the peppers came straight from the garden out back we spotted from the parking lot. It came with a huge pile of home fries and your choice of bread. I of course as the foodie I am picked the bread option of «homemade» and was really happy I did. It was cut thick and dense. It had a nice crisp to the outside but a soft chewy inside. We were both very happy with our meals, and my coworker gave the best compliment one can give a restaurant. «Hey man, that was great, if we work here tomorrow you want to come back?» I sure do.

We went to this place this morning– great prices, food was wonderful and the service was excellent. Loved the décor, family pictures and all sorts of kitschy stuff. We came for breakfast, they sell pancakes single but don’t order more than two, they are very big. We will definitely be back for dinner sometime!

Small mom and pop local place with homemade food — like your mom would make. The portions are large, the prices are more than reasonable. A wide variety of desserts — so save room for dessert or make sure to take some to go.

Service is meh unless your a regular… Have gone a few times and food is typical of a mom and pop type restaurant. But most important is the dessert… Only they look at you stupid when you ask for carrot or spice cake and you’re told they haven’t had it for years when you got it a month before…

Amazing locally owned ma and pa restaurant and bakery. I’m from morgantown but I would travel At Least 3 hours just to purchase a pie from here! The venue is very small, country traditional feel, and clean. Staff are very kind and attentive. Great tasting locally produced food makes it a real colorful experience. NOWTHEPIES!!! I love love love the coconut cream and the blackberry pie wholly bajeebers!!! The apple pie is good too but nothing like the other two. To order a whole pie you need to call a day in advance– even though the spot is completely a secret– the pies are high in demand. If you want just a slice of pie you don’t have to call and reserve as they have it made. Fresh food and sweets makes Apple Annie’s a great experience. I can’t recommend it enough!

Wow… THISIS A LOCALSECRETSPOT!!! Like taking a trip back in time! Apple Annie’s is located inside a little house. Ambiance is casual like going to grandma’s! The place is clean, comfortable and cozy! They offer a home-made very dinner-like experience! The bakery is where it’s at though!!! Fresh pies made daily from scratch!!! Coconut cream pie is my favorite by far but all the pies are UNREALAMAZING! Have been coming back for years and will continue to do so as long as I live in or come visit the Morgantown area!

We came back to visit Morgantown for the first time in 10 years. This was the first restaurant we wanted to come visit. The new owners have kept up the tradition!

When we were in college we used to make special trips out to apple Annie’s pretty frequently. The main courses aren’t your 5 star fancy restaurant type meals, more simple and to the point. I would say the main courses aren’t to die for but it’s definitely comfort food and sometimes that’s what the soul needs! They also serve different items on different days. It’s feels like something your grandma would have made for you. The waitstaff is friendly and the setting is very cute. Lots of old pictures and old articles. Their desserts are all amazing, all homemade. They definitely give you a more than generous serving. It’s worth a go!

This place is a hidden gem! Tucked down an alley it’s very warm and homey. Service was great and the food was excellent portions are generous to say the least. The blackberry pie was perfect not overly sweet the crust was flakey. I did t have any cake but the servings were large enough for 4 people. We will definitely come here again.(not because of the portion size but because the food was delicious)

I absolutely LOVE this place. Every time I go into Pittsburgh PA, I always make sure and stop by this place. I’ve been visiting this place even when I was a little kid! Seriously I can remember walking in there with my mother and everybody in the restaurant go quiet because it was as if they never saw asian people before. Then I remember the second time I went there the same thing happened. Then after coming back from Germany, they had an ASIAN waiter! I was blown away! Anyway… just to show you how much I love this place… coming to this place was one of the highlights of visiting my grandparents! Deserts… I don’t know what to say other then… last time I was there I ordered about $ 60 in deserts alone. They give you big pieces and lots of it and there are plenty to chose from. Food is good and no complaints. I say get whatever they have because it’s all good and the price is awesome and did I mention their deserts? My mouth is watering just thinking about them… I wish they shipped. EDIT: Actually after posting this I called to see if they could ship me cakes. And they said No… and apparently it has new management now. I hope it does just as good!

My husband and I went here for the first time on our way to a Pirates game from Morgantown. I had heard nothing but great things about this place. It’s a small, but very cute ma and pa place. They had a lot of lunch specials to choose from. I got the reuben sandwich which came with fries and slaw. My husband got a fatboy burger off the regular menu it came with the same 2 sides. Lot’s of older regulars there that came in after us, but got their food before us. No big deal once we got our food it was worth the wait. Huge portions our sandwiches and fries were good, but the slaw was very bland. We got a giant cinnamon roll to go for breakfast the next day. Wow! Amazing! Probably the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had :-)

Tired of eating at every conceivable chain restaurant that Morgantown has to offer? Come to Apple Annie’s. A classic all American restaurant that used exist everywhere but is now hard to find. The desserts, especially the pies, are beyond description and the portion size is crazy. The daily specials are always interesting and varied. Today I went with the classic American Burger with fries and wasn’t disappointed. Don’t miss stopping by here.

It doesn’t get anymore homey than Apple Annie’s! True homemade cooking with diner-style fare and very inexpensive. Attentive and friendly service. Only 10 minutes from Morgantown, this is a great place for WVU students – check it out! Don’t forget to check out the totally killer homemade desserts – they’re HUGE! Great value!

Home town, all-American food served with a smile. Don’t expect anything exotic or flavor intense when it comes to the menu selections. Be prepared, however, to cry tears of joy when you eat one of their apple dumplings.

A friendly atmosphere and generous portions of surprisingly good American/Italian American food, with glass displays housing a wide variety of decadent deserts. A hidden gem(seriously, halfway down an alley) in a barely-living town. Definitely worth a trip from Morgantown, maybe even a detour when you’re passing on I-68 and in no hurry.
