This is a pretty neat museum! It is all about the mothman, mostly it is about the bridge falling and there is a lot of props from the movie. It is something you have to do once since there is only one in the whole world, but it isn’t huge so it is like a one time visit type of thing. There is a gift shop.

I had always wanted to visit Point Pleasant and take-in the atmosphere of The Mothman. And what better way to do this, than visiting a dedicated museum. It is very affordable to enter the museum: $ 3.00 per adult? The items on display are nice, but what I was most impressed with were the actual statements given by those who witnessed Mothman. In their original handwriting, no facsimiles! Even more fascinating were the original correspondence from John Keel!(If you are interested, Keel stayed in rooms 201 and 202 across the street at the Lowe Hotel). The museum is awesome with lots of great merchandise and a friendly staff! And Jeff, has a great selection of books as well. If you haven’t read Keel’s book«The Mothman Prophecies,» then pick-up a copy. Visit this attraction – you will be glad you did.

I took my family to the Mothman festival 2 years ago. It was a good time. We went to the museum and were impressed by how much information they had about the sightings and the Silver Bridge collapse. Totally cool, my family got stickers, shirts, and bracelets. Even if you don’t believe, it’s a cool, quirky place. Lighten up and have some fun!

Well worth the $ 3 entry fee! The guy at the desk was very nice and friendly. The museum was very educational and enlightening. I can’t believe the movie left out the fact that mothman was kinda a perv chasing women who were menstruating and mutalating cow’s anuses.

This was just a great little gem! Jeremy the manager made it all the better with his great personality and vast knowledge of the Mothman and the area! Lots of great things to be bought in the gift shop like Mothman Poop(trademarked by Mothman Museum) and shirts of all sizes! The Museum itself is a small back room area, which honestly could use better lighting, but is huge in size! They have tons of props and things from the movie along with newspaper articles and other things from the actual event. The $ 3.00 admittance fee barely helps keep the lights on, you can tell they do this because they love the Mothman legend not to make money! I cant say enough about Jeremy either. Unfortunately, their bus was broken and we were not able to get the«guided tour» but Jeremy provided us with so much information we were able to find everything we wanted to see, and not just about the Mothman but about many of the local things also. He was just the perfect tour guide!

Great offbeat tourist trap. For $ 3 admission, prepared to be creeped out. Lots of movie memorabilia, newspaper clippings, even a viewing room. Make sure whoever you take is up for reading. It’s a tiny museum, but if you read thru things, there’s so much intriguing information. It’s a genius business. I would love to have my own monster museum.

Only giving it two stars because some of the old documents are pretty cool. This is my home town and my sister came to visit for the first time and she was pregnant. They had NO bathroom open to the public! They wouldn’t even help out a bladder-challenged pregnant woman. Also it is not clean, no one gives information about any of the displays. Overall very unprofessional!
