I visited this adorable shop on Thursday, October 4. While there I saw a pair of earrings that I really liked, but I decided to not purchase them at that time as I figured I’d return to the shop before my Point Reyes weekend was over. As luck would have it, when I returned to the shop one evening, it had already closed. A week later, after returning home to the east coast, I was still thinking about those earrings. I decided to take the chance and email Susan Hayes to see if they might be able to find the earrings I fell in love with — I thought it’d be a long shot and didn’t even expect a reply, but I received one quickly and they were on the search! I worked with Paula via email, and she was so kind to take my vague description and look throughout their earring selection to see if any matched — she took the time to email me pictures of several different earrings and even offered to make a new pair to match my description. Just as I was ready to give up, Paula found the exact pair of earrings that I had fallen in love with! It was much less about the earrings at that point, and more about having a token of sentimental value as a reminder of my amazing visit to Point Reyes. Thank you, Paula, for taking time out of your day (s) to help with my unique request. I appreciate it so much!

Got a Michael Farrell dress here that I have gotten so many compliments on. Is so beautiful! And the price was reasonable.
The store is chock full of good stuff and the sales staff were very helpful and nice.

I purchased a Susan Hayes chenille scarf in plum, brown, camel and black in the 90’s. I still have it and get raves every time I wear it. Beautiful workmanship.

Loved this cute little shop! Great selection of clothing (and sizes, I’m plus sized). I won’t miss this shop next time I’m in the area.

It is a pleasure to shop at this store. The shopkeepers are friendly and helpful and there is a good selection of ‘made is USA’ clothing. Prices are extremely reasonable. Although it is a distance, I come as often as I can.

I purchased an item in April of last year (2011), and the owner of this shop has now completely reimbursed me for an item which was not correctly made and began to tear apart. What a nice surprise, and it certainly speaks well for their customer service and their interest in maintaining happy customers. Thank you, Susan, for reading my Unilocal review and offering to return my money for the item. I still had my receipt, so I was able to confirm the purchase price. I normally don’t keep all my receipts that long from a trip, but I wanted to write Unilocal reviews on all my stops on the trip. So this is another way Unilocal was a great help in customer satisfaction. Thanks to both businesses!

We found ourselves wandering through all the shops in the Point Reyes area on a recent fall day.
This place had a very nice selection of clothes. As the name implies lots of wovens and knits but plenty of cotton and rayon too. Good color & size choices. Also shoes and jewelry.
The store was busy and there was only one person to help customers but she did a great job of making everyone feel welcome.
Oh, and the prices are very reasonable for the style and choices available. A little gem of a place to find comfortable, cool clothes!
