I have been here for the past year between school loans and paying bills. I have been pawning here and there and they are the ones willing to pay the most(unlike the nearby pawnshops around Pomona) for my gold jewelry. When you park in the little private gated lot, you would think that this is a bit sketchy with its bars and such, but that is just a precaution to protect their customers and their store. If you walk inside, everything is well organized and when you need a loan, they use ID and your thumbprint and they give you a receipt if you’re pawning something. Please be advised to keep your receipt in a safe spot because that is your only ticket to receive your item back. They don’t cut corners because they want to make sure they are protecting the property the best they can. If you’ve never pawned before(like the first time I went in), they will really willing to help and make the process easy for you. Everyone hits hard times in their lives and they are just ordinary people as well. I haven’t bought anything in here yet, but I saw some really decent items such as a few guitars(which I am saving up for) and other things you wouldn’t find anywhere else. Overall, I’d say that if you’re looking for a no hassle, easy way to pawn and loan, then please come to AJ’s. I know that I am a loyal customer. Thank you, AJ’s!

Disgusting area of Pomona. Poor customer service. Long lines of hideous customers pawning anything from toasters to stolen jewelry. Awful, awful locale. Scary customers. Misinformed, clueless personnel. Same old douche of an owner, who dresses like he’s still a teenager. Useless girls working behind the counter, they haven’t a clue. Avoid at all costs.

Went in today to pawn a $ 250014k gold ring with 7 diamonds an all they would loan me is $ 60?! Than I went to look around and their products price tags were more than what I could buy the same items for at best buy new! Cool pix camera at least 2 years old not very fancy $ 89.00??? What? To buy you’re better off buying on amazon or Craigslist! Falling apart guitar cases were $ 60? Used poor shape amps were $ 300 when Sam ash had the same models but new for $ 399? Not much of a savings if you ask me or maybe even more than some places online!

Getting a loan for my precious music equipment. I’ve been here a couple of times, and I’ve always enjoyed the service they provide. Pawn shops are always going to give you 50% of the total value of what you’re loaning, so I wasn’t expecting anything more then what I was seeking as a loan. This STOREISHUGE, and the customer service is good as well. I truly do recommend this place for looking for used Music Equipment or Hardware Tools. They are very clean and helpful… and I was impressed with the reassuance they provided to me. Also, there is limited parking on the side of the building and on the street. So its usually best to go in the morning or afternoon.

I been coming here for many years now. When I’m short of money I come here to get a quick loan for my gold jewelry. They don’t do credit checks, they only check your ID. It’s quick and easy, the only bad thing about here is that they choose the loan amount, I asked for more money for my loan and been denied, even though I been coming here for years. I bought movies and stereo speakers they sound great, and I bought them in lay away. The only con is that they are NOT Refundable. Yup., overall great experience.

I’ve gone in to this pawn shop on several occasions and each time was a horrible experience. Their customer service is terrible and they really aren’t interested in helping their customers. I went in one time trying to see how much I could pawn one of my gold bracelets for and the girl helping claimed that the chain just broke in her hands. I had the bracelet for 2 years and wore it often and it never showed signs of being broken. It was really upsetting. They are also way over priced.

Working with a guy name Brandon, I maybe jumping the gun, but this guys is super knowledgeable and easy to deal with. This place came as a recommendation(calguns), and is little far from my place — but thus far everything is going smoothly. Would definitely recommend. side note: I used AJS’s as an FFL from getting a firearm out of state.

This place is god-damned scary. I walked in, looking for a cheap guitar to practice on, and when I did, I noticed I was getting looks that made me feel like I was walking into a prison, and I was some sort of fresh meat. There’s a long line of people looking like they were there to pawn some stuff, and they look at you hard. Then there are are those scummy looking patrons that look at you like you’re a cheeseburger and they’re starving(girls, you know the look, up, then down, then up again, lingering on the breasts… ewww) the whole experience took me about 1 minute. I went in, did a lap, and left because it felt like I was going to be someone’s lunch. I will say that it did look organized. I didn’t feel like looking around at anything else they might have had… I just wanted to GTFO. Bring a friend or two for safety – and have someone watch your car… it’s in a yucky part of town.

Went in looking for a deal on a keyboard, was unsure what to expect. They got a pretty good selection of instruments and music equipment. Found exactly what I was looking for. And the sales clerk was very nice. Would go back again, if need be… in daylight hours. Got to use the 20% off exclusive discount for Unilocalers, sweet.

My fiancée & I stopped by here just to take a look at their jewelry to see if I can get an idea of what kind of vintage ring I can get… and I found mine. They have a large selection of jewlery. It was a matching set, engagement ring/wedding band. It was only $ 150… but using the Unilocal discount I got my 20% off. I was impressed with the professionalism of the business. Pawn shops can be creepy, scary & just not coo but this place was clean, well lit, employees spoke English and Spanish speakers were also available. FYI… I was the FIRST one ever to use the Unilocal/Check in offer and I had to show my phone to the cashier to prove to her what I was saying wasn’t a joke. Then the owner, the actual person who posted the offer came out and thought it was cool someone actually used it. We then bonded how we found the PERFECT noodle house on Unilocal. Once again Unilocal you have made me a happy woman. :)

We stopped in here this past weekend to take a look at some rings, as we are on a budget we figured a pawn shop would be a good start. Being righ on holt you dont expect much. They have a private lot right behind the store to park in. We walked in and I was quite taken back at how clean and organized the store was. Everything from music, jewelry, tools, electronics… etc. I took off right to the tools. They had a good collection of stuff with what seemed to be pretty good prices. I will say I looked at the bicycles and the prices where sky high for what they where. We looked at the jewelry and the young lady helping us was very nice and took her time showing us different pieces. The prices seemed to be pretty reasonable and the quality of the pieces looked nice. While we did not purchase anything on this trip I am sure we will be back to look and maybe buy in the future.
