Cuts By DRO

This is my FIRST Unilocal review and I couldn’t think of a business or individual who deserves more than Cut By Dro. He is by far one of the best barbers/​individual I have met since I moved to California. He knows his craft and ambiance is chill.

Alex is the only barber I know will give me a guaranteed legit haircut. He takes his time and I’m always impressed with the results. Quality barber with good prices for anyone.

Best haircut of I’ve had in years. Been around to several place over the last year and this has been the best. Friendly, talented, helpful (especially if you’re not sure what exactly you’re looking for), takes his time and makes sure he gets it right. Absolutely coming back and would recommend him to anyone.

I started off with a dilemma. My hair is in that awkward stage of not being long enough for me to know what to do with.
After my experience at Dro’s… I now have another dilemma… I don’t know if I want to grow my hair out anymore or to keep it at this length after seeing what the man can do when left to his own devices.
His shop is a humble little hole in the wall behind another hair salon with a small parking ‘lot’ off to the side with just enough room to fit one car at a time.
This is what sets Cuts by DRO apart from the other places though. It’s not about volume or pumping out as many customers in a day to maximize profit. It’s about the experience of not just a damn good haircut, but also just kickin it with a great guy.
Come cause of the reviews, stay for the company, leave with a cut you’ll both be proud of.

I’m definitely glad I found Alex on Unilocal.It is very hard now to find someone who pays attention to detail and doesn’t rush a haircut. His scissor work, line ups, and fades are top notch. The atmosphere is very chill and relationship based.
Make an appointment but don’t be surprised if you have to wait. His cuts are worth the wait.

Customer service is always key and he has it down and pact! First off my boyfriend is VERY VERY picky when it comes to his hair cuts so he was very skeptical, but he didn’t disappoint what so ever! He was more then pleased with the outcome, he paid a lot of attention to detail and did what most barbers don’t razor line ups! Thanks Dro!

Being new to the area I didn’t realize just how crowded the barber shops would be, especially the day before school. After driving to a few places and calling several I was beginning to panic, no one had time to take them today. Then I called Alex, he was booked all day but was willing to stay late to cut their hair for me. Who does that!
We arrived at closing and waited for him to finish the 2 cuts before us. When it was our turn he talked to them about what they wanted and made them feel comfortable, he even conversated with my little girl and offered her a drink when he heard her complaining. He did their cuts quickly and it looked amazing! They were even, lined up and exactly like I wanted. Alex is 35 min away from my home but definitely worth it, we’ll be going back there from now on.

First, I just wanted to say thank you so much Alex. You literally saved my life, time, and money. I appreciate it so much.
Now, let’s start off with the location. I got here and thought it wasn’t the right place because it looked like a hair salon from the outside. But, his barbershop is actually inside the place, but in the back. It’s a nice environment at his work place. He has a bathroom, Playstation, A/​C, proper barber tools, etc.
Alex is a very nice, knowledgeable, honest, and funny guy. He is very down to earth and tries to make a connection with you while he cuts your hair. He tries to get to know you like on a 1-​on-​1 basis and even offers you something to drink if you’re thirsty (like a beer, water, or soda). He basically treats you like family and it was my first time getting a haircut from him.
I came in a rush needing to get a haircut (an hour before closing) because I had blonde hair and had to chop it off due to work, but Alex told me not to chop it off because it wouldn’t look as nice. He came up with a solution and went out of his ways to dye my hair back to black. It came out great, no errors at all. He then proceeded to cut my hair, I asked Alex what looked good with my style of hair and he then gave me his perspective on what looks better. In the end, my hair turned out just the way I wanted. His barbering skills are on point. He cuts with precision and even gives you tips on how to do your hair and he also tells you what he is doing as he cuts your hair. Plus, he also puts the finishing touches with a razor-​blade. Really professional.
Overall, I enjoyed my experience here. I wish I knew about his barbershop sooner so I wouldn’t have to drive so far away to get a nice cut. I’ve been to a few barbershops around the Chino and Pomona area and I have to say Alex is really good at what he does and the price is really reasonable. (Under 20 $ compared to other places)
