Just moved to the area. Read some great reviews, wanted a legitimate ny bagel as was described. Clearly no one who has reviewed this place knows what a good bagel is. Couple that with the fact that the service was bad this place gets zero stars but Unilocal won’t allow zero, so its shows as one. They messed up my order. Put my bacon egg and cheese on an everything(I asked for it on a toasted plain), left off the ketchup I asked for and messed up my girls bagel too. And look, I would have given them another shot because hey everyone makes mistakes, but the bagels aren’t even good! I might as well go to the grocery store and buy frozen bagels. I’ll drive another 10 minutes and go to Nyack Hot Bagel. THOSE are good NY bagels.

Great bagel spot in garnerville, they have really good ny style bagels and specialty cream cheeses. Their coffee, iced and cold is very good also. Pretty pricey for breakfast everyday, as a bagel with cream cheese and iced coffee can run you close to 5 bucks.

You will never be disappointed with the service and the bagels are delicious. Every time I go to David’s it’s usually busy but there are so many people working behind the counter you never have to worry about anything but stellar service. Their bagels are always so delicious and so are their pastries.

A great selection of bagels, cream cheeses, and salads. The chicken salad is one of my favorites but it is a little pricey.

I personally believe that this is a true New York /Jewish traditional bagel place. I have been to many places in Manhattan and Jersey, but all these self-claimed best bagel in NY were not even close to the best I know. I do not think the owner is kosher as the store has more non-kosher items, but the quality of the bagels is just superior. They have so many different types of bagels and cream cheeses. My favorite is the everything bagel and plain cream cheese with thin slices of lax. I wish I lived closer so I would not have to make my David’s run as part of my routine Woodbury trip!

The place went down hill when they sold it to the new owner that never ever changes his menu. The salads are all brought in from outside that are so disgusting. The cookies are always old and the muffins are always stale. The owner cares about one thing fast money. Place sucks

Best everything bagels I have ever had EVER, and a good chance i will ever have. Unfortunately I moved to the west coast and have been craving these ever since. I have yet to find an everything bagel that actually puts everything on it that can even compare to the bagels that pop out of here. Whenever I come back home to visit this is one of the first food stops i make. Try the breakfast sandwiches on a bagel too. Bacon, Egg, and cheese on an everything bagel! O__o

Love this place! Not a lot of places near hear for good food. Best breakfast/lunch and bagels in Pomona, well in the neighborhood. So many delicious spreads and choices for sandwiches. Coffee is delicious too; better than mine lol

So many bagels. So much cream cheese. Very good, but why so pricey? And what kind of respectable NY Bagel joint doesn’t give you a baker’s dozen? BLARGH. The bialys, however, were medicore at best. Oh, but the coffee is good too.

I come here several times a year in the summer when on long-ish bike rides from the city. David’s has a wide selection of excellent bagels and an even wider selection of cream cheeses such as, walnut raisin and apple cinnamon. The shop is well staffed by cheerful locals and I have never waited more than a few minutes before being served. The prices are reasonable as well. This place seems to be a hit with the locals as each time I have been there, hanging out for about an hour, there was a constant stream of people coming and going, loading up on bagels and sandwiches.

This location is the most INEFFICIENT operation I have ever been in. The line usually is 5 – 9 deep in the morning and its only because of the way the counter staff handle their work load. The person who smears your bagel, also makes your hot sandwich, fills your coffee and takes your money. NODIVISIONOFLABOR!!! There are so many people behind the counter that are running in many different directions its probably costing them a huge amount of money in labor cost. I don’t know about other locations but I have stopped here from time to time and have sometimes gone to the Stop and Shop in the shopping center 200 yds away to get my bagel because I didn’t want to wait in a long line. The owners should take a good hard look at how they run their operation as the faces of the people who stand there patiently for their bagel in the morning might get mad enough to say something like I am right now.

There’s nothing bad here. Bagels are made fresh every day & I highly recommend the cinnamon raisin. Tuna salad & soups are tasty as well. Staff is typically friendly & quick.

Best bagels in Rockland County. So tasty. Great selection of specialty cream cheeses. A ridiculous selection of bottled and canned beverages, as well as all types of coffees. Muffins are tasty as well. Scones are hit or miss. Make sure you ask for a soft one. Only thing that tweaks me about this place is that regular lite cream cheese is considered«specialty» so it is $ 1 more than regular cream cheese.

I had to register to this website just so I can write review. I ordered a Tuna Wrap today from this location because I can’t eat meat on Fridays. I should’ve saved myself the EXTRA $ 1 and change and just went to Subways. The tuna was disgusting! The whole sandwich was disgusting. The wheat wrap was hard, could’ve been stale, idk. The tuna was sweet and they put entirely too much mayo. So the tuna was literally dripping out of my wrap. I wish I took my tuna back and requested a refund. But at least with this review other people might be luckier than I and save their $ 6.23.

These are quite simply the best bagels period. Yes, I grew up eating them. Yes, I dream about them often. Yes, they would be my last meal on earth. And yes, every time I have another bagel a part of me weeps inside because they just aren’t as good. They personify what a bagel should be. Perfectly crunchy on the outside, perfectly soft on the inside. When they are toasted they are so amazing and the way that they get the heat from the toasting to melt the cream cheese is an art form. They have a ton of different schmears, many bagel choices and a full selection of salads. They also have some damn good cakes. There is always a line but it moves quickly because they are efficient at their craft. The Pomona location is better than the New City location, IMO. I actually lived closer to New City but I would make the drive to Pomona because they were better. Best bagels in Rockland, NY, and well, the world.
