Still a great venue for concerts. Good sound under the grand stand. Not sure if horse racing still exists here. Beautiful evening and good fun during the fair!

Rosemead, CA
A beautiful venue to visit during the annual L.A. County Fair. The race meet is limited (13 days this year — I went to three) and not done every day of the fair so you’ll need to check beforehand if the horses are running. A nice break from the fair, especially on crowded days.

Pomona, CA
Nice local horse race track. During the month of the LA County Fair they have concerts and you can either buy tickets to sit close or get FREE tickets (sit in the stands but with nice view) by just ask for the free tickets and pick them up at the designated pick up window.
