When I hear food trucks I expected more than 10 but this event probably had 7 when I went. The atmosphere was really chill, not crowded at all, and benches were included for you to grub on. I tried boneless spicy garlic Parmesan wings and Cajun fries($ 15) from bellybomz(inspired Korean cuisine). Wings were okay, very crunchy, wasn’t that spicy and a bit vinegary. Fries were delicious, seasoned just right! I also tried sweet potato tater tots from a friend, not sure which truck they came from. It was delicious. Oh also had tiger drink(4 $)(milk tea and Thai tea combined) from boba n taco, was alright! A little creamier than Thai tea itself. Closed at 830. So come early To enjoy and this event only run on Thursdays:)

I had driven by the NHRA museum and seen the food trucks several times and finally decided to stop in and try some of the food trucks. Having read previous Unilocal reviews I decided to go later and miss the 7pm crowd. at 8:00pm, there were no lines, but several trucks were out of some of their food items. I had a Po Boy and Gumbo side from Ragin Cajun and it was very good, but was a little disappointed that they were completely out of hush puppies. Also they told me I bought their last shrimp Po Boy. So the trade off to not waiting is possible limiting your menu options. Atmosphere was nice and quite a few families were there with their pets. I will definitely go again.

Great way to spend Thursday nights. There’s a variety of select food trucks at this family-friendly atmosphere with fun music playing in the background. Tried the fare at Piaggio and Ragin’ Cajun, which is pretty tasty. We will be sure to come back again to try the rest.

The lines are waaaaay to loooong, so be prepared. It’s a little pricey. Most of the food I’ve tried are ok to damn good. The food trucks are available every Thursday. Will I go back? YES.

Food Trucks Every Thursday’s We got here at 8pm and they close at 8:30 and it was chill. Not too crowded by that time and plenty of picnic tables to sit and grub at. Booooo to the beer depot for closing at 8:15! That was the ONE truck my husband wanted to go to but they closed up early :( Here’s some trucks that were there: French Crepes Belly Bombz– Asian fusion wings and sliders Kettle Corn Rounds Burgers Mexi Calbi– Korean fusion tacos, burritos etc Mamas Texas Kitchen Homeboy food truck– Potato swirl on a stick truck Lobster roll, Salmon Wrap, Garlic Parm Tator Tots selling Truck(don’t know the name but they were quite popular) Ice cream cookie sandwich truck Beer Depot– only alcohol serving joint I had a taste from the Mexi Calbi short rib burrito(3 star lacked flavor), the Belly Bombz wings(3.75 star it was decent my fav was the mamas one), truck with the hodge lodge of food had garlic Tator tots which was phenomenal but totally bad for you and their salmon wrap was too fishy but tasty. Lobster roll there was good too but their tortilla chips fried in lard was the winner surprisingly. Ice cream cookie was yummy I had snicker doodle and chocolate chip! In the end I came home feeling like a super fatty and burned a whole in my wallet. It is not cheap! The food was hella salty because I was downing water all night. This is definitely a one time a week if not one time a month type of meal. It kind of sucked how almost all the trucks had an Asian fusion twist with mexican food… where the BBQ ribs at or something more creative?! Check out my pics :) I posted everything except for the kalbi burrito.

Fun event every Thursday night! Variety of trucks changes every week. So many good things it’s hard to choose sometimes!!! Every once in awhile there’s a Mustang car show that comes through and exhibits cars there at the same time. Nice atmosphere. Free parking. Lots of music and food! It last till the Fair comes to town.

I went to the food truck meet at the Fairplex for the first time yesterday. Food trucks have gotten a lot popular nowadays. There were a lot of truck to choose from but we ultimately chose to go to the Grilled Cheese Truck. I got the Cheesy Mac grilled cheese and made it a meal. Food trucks are more expensive but it was worth it. The meal came with a choice of dipping sauce, tots, and a drink. Overall, the food was great. Good quality and tasted delicious. They also give you a lot of tots go you can pretty much fill up. We also got some dessert from Crêpe Bonaparte truck. We got the BerryAnna crêpe with vanilla ice cream. Also super delicous. I think I will be attending a lot more food truck meets here.

Not much to choose from. Overpriced for food that tastes below average. We tried the sisig and beefsteak from White Rabbit. It tastes terrible we threw most it away. Also tried the bison burger with coleslaw from the hurricane. It tastes too bland and dry. I’d rate this place half a star if I could.

BOMB!!! This is fairly new so everybody is still learning about the food trucks meeting every Thursday but it’s already so good. They don’t have a crazy amount of food trucks just yet but the ones there are fantastic! Great people great vendors the fairplex even puts out restrooms heating lamps for the night time and tables. It’s well worth it to me! I’ll be there tonight!!!

I went on June 21st and they had 5 food trucks and about 7 – 8 vendors. Food Trucks. We tried a Crêpe from Crepes Bonaparte because we had seen them on Food Network. A savory SouthWest Chicken crêpe. It was ok and I would give it 3 stars. Ordering was easy and got it within about 4 – 5 mins… not bad price We got two delicious Cupcakes … cant remember the cupcake places name but they were from Pomona I believe. Also tried White Rabbit … Line was long so I figured it must be very good. Well line was long due to them being possibly the slowest food truck I have ever seen. We waited in line about 10 minutes and then 27 mins after that. Thats a little ridiculous for 3 tacos. The Tacos were just average and one I didn’t care for at all but my friend loved it. They were all pork and the 2 okay ones were Citrus flavored. The other was a sweet and sour I believe. Other trucks were there but didn’t interest us. VENDORS: Fruit stand was ok but nothing special. I got a cobbler from one stand and it was ok.3 stars but I wasn’t expecting anything to wow me as it was premade for the booth. Saw the Kettle Corn and Gourmet Soft Pretzel stand… LOVE Soft Pretzels BUT apparently they don’t make Pretzels in the summer time. Not sure whats up with that. Also had a Beer Stand, Jerky stand and a couple other ones. The Setup was pretty nice with lots of Picnic tables setup some with umbrellas. I read a review that said that there were not many tables but I am not sure what he meant. The setup was pretty good. I will go back and I think a friend may become a vendor there on occaison. Its not a bad weeknight out for an hour or two. Hopefully the Food Trucks will change weekly. One note: The week I went the trucks got slammed and all of them were low in food. Some were sold out of 70% or so of menu. They were happy with turnout and will return with more options. So I think the trucks will be eager to return and new trucks ready to attend.

First off let me say I go to these food truck events all over and have had many GREAT meals but this one is dead. Went there 6 – 21 at 7:45 in the evening very hungry, one truck out of food, another out of half the meats for meals, down to cupcakes 3.00 each had one and was hard and dry. Crepes or Filipino fusion, tried a crêpe and was so so waited in line at the White Rabbit for 15 Min. line hardly moved very slow. Went and had a 12 dollar beer(rip off) and decided on a peach cobbler at cobbler mania as the sign said«so good you will slap yourself» I wanted to slap myself for paying 6 bucks for a peach cobbler that tasted like a crappy frozen one at the store. So done with the Fairplex food trucks. Great area, needs more seating no where to sit and needs more vendors with actual food.

This was the first time we stopped at this weekly event. There were five trucks present, though there’s space for far more. By the time we got there, several of the trucks were out or nearly out of food, as the attendance was quite impressive for a week night. The site has a number of cement picnic tables in place, which is perfect for food truck meals. In addition to the five trucks(of a scheduled six), there were several farmer’s market-type booths, selling produce and honey, as well as kettle corn and beer. In all, a nice stop for the run-in to the evening. Worth checking on again.
