Honestly was skeptical at first cause I didn’t think the lovely lady would know to cut the hair I wanted. But she actually understood and helped me out. Thank you guys!

Five stars all day everyday! Got here at 7 & the owner was here opening up a half hour early, got me in and out in 15min looking fresh with my fro cut, most reasonable place, great service and best price, where can you get a quality cut with a tip for ten bones!

First and last time I come here. I just came in for a beard line up (since it was close to my job) and the lady towards the back calls me out and I tell her if she can do a line up on my beard .she saids yes… next thing I know she begins cutting way below the original line and she’s half ways… I look at the mirror and I tell the lady it’s way to low and she responds with an attitude oh I thought that’s how low you wanted it. I’m like too late now… and to top it off its crooked!
Never again will I come here!

I’m a regular. I keep going for the good price and great service. I never wait too long for a cut. They usually trim the edges with shaving cream and razor blade which is the best part because it’s very relaxing. Highly recommended.

I have been coming to this barber shop since 1994. Yeah – process that. My grandfather found this place when we moved to Pomona, he liked the people and took me there. Mr. Jorge, his wife and son have all been great over the years. They are so friendly and warm it creates an inviting atmosphere.
This is not a barber shop where you see a bunch of hipsters/​homies trying to make themselves better in their own mind. You won’t see anyone talking about their rims, cars or scoots here. If you are more concerned with how a barber shop presents itself as catering to one particular customer… this is not your place. This is not a place where you come to feel validated about your ethnicity– you come here to enjoy a haircut and have casual conversation with good people. Usually it’s sports, and whatever non-​sense is happening via the boob-​tube.
In 20 years the prices have not changed! Despite the economy, location, whatever you want, they have kept their consistent prices and service for over two decades. I have never had a problem, knick or any type of issue with any haicut (fades w/​reg. trim) in my 20 years of coming here. This place is as real as it gets, no false fronts and no trendy displays trying to reel in new clients. The only time I have ever had an issue at this place was when a d-​bag customer was being rude to Mr. Jorge’s wife, insisting that he was in hurry and wanted his services — in other words he’s the type who can’t have his poor hair touched by a female barber… what a jack hole. That was one incident in twenty years. The way loyal customers keep coming back to this place stands as a testament to the people who work there.

Ok so I rarely write reviews but here’s one for this place «this is not a real barber shop» I went here to try a closer place to home but was very disappointed right about 10 seconds into my cut I realized the lady did not know how to do a low razor fade!!! Nonetheless I was patient and let her do her thing… 5 minutes later she gives me a mirror to check my cut… I was not surprised as I felt what she was doing, I gently asked her if she was going to leave the line as I wanted a fade!!! well she got upset !!! Although she said she would fix it, as she tried I could feel her anger pushing down hard on the clippers so I decided to get up the chair and kindly told her if you DON’T know how to make a cut please be honest and say you can’t!!! I walked out of that place which to my surprise it was full of people. So if you decide to go here do not let the older lady fade you up! I ended up with a chopped up high uneven somewhat fade! (went to another shop to fix it) I also noticed the older gentleman telling people on the phone he had 5 barbers cutting when there was only 2!!!

Wow! We have been to other barber shops and they charge so much for kids haircuts!
$ 8 for kids here, which is so great for hair that grows so fast! We used George and one other older woman (she was second seat from the door). All of them were pretty friendly and chatty. The place had a constant flow of customers, which tells me they’ve got a great reputation! Check them out — you won’t be sorry!

Great shop. Seated immediately, lady cut my hair. I speak little Spanish, but explained in English what I wanted. And it came out perfect. She used a straight razor on my neck line and sideburns (oldschool) and it was only $ 8, what a deal, I’ll be back at least once a month. There is a Zumba fitness next door with Loud music but for $ 8, they could do the Zumba class in front of me and I would still go. Funny how people complain about this place. I guess some people are never happy!

I have to admit that I wasn’t expecting much. I have seen rave reviews on Unilocal about a variety of businesses and services and been disappointed from time to time. I walked in on a Monday morning about 10 AM and within a few minutes I went to an older lady. Let me just tell you, she gave me one if the best haircuts I have ever had in my life. She didn’t just butcher my hair like most barbers do. Since my hair is curly I like to keep it a little bit longer on top so it can hold product. I would highly recommend this barber and the only bad thing is that it can get pretty busy on the weekends. So do yourself a favor and try to hit it on the weekdays, if possible.

I came here due to the rave reviews and its close to my house. My hair grows fast so I need constant hair cuts and was looking for an inexpensive place to frequent.
I walked in and was seated very quickly and the lady got started. Although there seemed to be a little bit of a language barrier, she seemed to understand my requests and proceeded with confidence. So far so good.
She generally did a good job and was careful. The reason I only gave 3 stars is because once I got home I noticed that the cut was somewhat uneven and lacked proper shape. It’s an $ 8 cut but I would have been much happier had she foregone shaving my neck and spent that time making sure the cut looked good. I’m fully capable of shaving my own neck and sideburns, but the reason I’m willing to pay $ 10 for a 20 minute hair cut is that it would take me an hour to cut it myself.
I’ll probably be coming back by to see if I can’t get a 4 or 5 star experience. I’d love to support this small business by stopping by more and revising my rating. I just would like to walk out of there with a cut I don’t have to fix when I get home.

Usually about 2 – 3 barbers working. They average about 15 min a haircut. All barbers are good. The preferred barber here is the man who has the first chair when you walk in. Had my cut here from 3 different barbers and no complaints.

I started comng here fifteen years ago when I moved in the area. Great family business. Has stayed consistently great all along. Show up early or you will have to wait. Like any other GOOD barber shop. Always worth the wait. Shop stays clean through and through.

This is my go-​to barber! Super cheap and really good service. CAUTION: Steer clear of the older lady! She has a tendency to give you what you don’t want.

checked this place out on Unilocal and went in for an appointment this morning. The guy did a great job on my hair. I typically get a fade and he did it just the way I like it and was thorough and precise. And the price is great at 8 dollars for hair cut.

I will definitely be back here… I was able to walk in on a Saturday afternoon, get my haircut just the way I wanted it, and be out within 20 minutes.
They only charge $ 8 for a men’s cut, I tipped $ 4 and she was happy with that.
