I love the food there, especially their fried rice in the combo.

Best Chinese around. Staff are always so friendly and welcoming. I always order from the menu rather that the food on display, and it always comes out great.

This is my go to spot while i’m at work. They folks are friendly Mom and Pop run the joint. They make you a batch of whatever it is you are ordering if it isn’t fresh! Everything I have had off of their menu has been delicious and hits the spot.

I’ve never had a bad experience here. I’m always greeted quickly and the employees are nice and friendly, and I’m always given a great amount of food. I come here pretty frequently and definitely recommend!

I’ll try my best to write a review even though I was unable to eat the entire food I nought from there. This is because barely starting with it I found a foreign item in my rice. So unfortunate. It was disgusting and made me lose my appetite. Who would want to have body hair in their food?

Ordered the sweet and sour chicken along with chow mein and rice. The chicken was very hard to bite into. Hoping it was bad night that night and it’s not like that all the time. The egg rolls were tasty though.

Trust me, order off the menu, not the steam tray, and you will see how amazing this place is. For starters, they have the best House Fried Rice I’ve ever had. You can add extra portions of shrimp, chicken, pork etc for $ 1-$ 2 more, depending on how carnivorous you feel. It’s about $ 8 and fills up an entire take out box. If you’re feeling under the weather order the Wor Wonton Soup. Be warned, they serve it lava hot, you’ll have to wait at least 20 minutes to eat, maybe less if you pour it out into a huge bowl. Add siriarach sauce and enjoy. I guarantee you’ll be breathing through your nose instantly and feeling better soon after that. If you have to order off the steam table, go for the pork riblets, beef broccoli or orange chicken. They added some curry dishes lately, they are also very, very good. Call 10 minutes ahead and you’ll make this your new favorite Chinese spot.

I went when the store was about to close at 9PM. I asked for combo 2 and they hooked it up they put a lot of chow mein and rice and when asked for meats they put a lot as well. The teriyaki chicken was stale and not as delicious as I thought it would be I also ordered the ruby chicken which had a nice spice to it but was too chewy and did not taste like real chicken. The best part of the meal was the chow mien it was not greasy and was not oily it was cook really well for it being out a couple of hours since I did come during closing.

Okay, let’s get one thing straight. I am a Panda Express FAN! Judge me how you will lol but I am! Contrary to my almond shaped eyes, I am not of Asian descent. So I can only measure Chinese food according to my OWN standards and tastebuds! Lol I compare everything to Panda Express. Travesty? To some, perhaps. I like that their food is flavorful WITHOUT msg, it’s fresh, and priced fair. It also serves the purpose of an Asian cuisine«fix» when I need it ;) Happy Wok is My new go-to! Sure, it’s most likely loaded with MSG… But provided I limit my visits to monthly as opposed to weekly. I should remain the same pant size.(Which shall prove challenging, seeing as how I LITERALLY dreamt about and craved the shrimp fried rice since having it for the first time earlier this week… I mean, do they sprinkle crack in there??? lol) They had friendly service indeed! Also, I walked in at 9:10 pm(they close at 930) They STILL prepared my order FRESH! They did it with a smile and it was delicious!!! I ordered; — Shrimp Fried Rice– it has an abundance of large grade shrimp. They are cooked perfectly, and not overdone at all! — Orange Chicken– it was battered and fried before my eyes and Tossed in the wok with their orange sauce! Delicious!(I’m still partial to The Panda Express orange chicken, because it has a slightly more acidic/vinegar zing underneath the sweet tones) but this is second best for sure! –the Kung Pao Chicken– it definitely packs a spicy punch! I’m so sad that their are no peanuts in it though(sad face). In all fairness I am seeing a common trend of omitting the nut due to patrons with possible allergies. Bummer. BOTTOMLINE– Asian or not, self proclaimed food critic or ordinary person… EVERYONELOVESCOMFORTFOOD. This place offers that and a smile. After all HAPPY is in the name. And HAPPY is indeed how I left. ;)

Terrible terrible terrible! I cannot express how dissatisfied I am with the food and service. Poor quality food and the cook was very ugly and rude. The cashier was not helpful whatsoever. Very unhappy. Not vegan friendly :/

This place is awesome! My husband and I will go here over Panda Express. Why? A) It’s cheaper B) You get a ton of food C) I actually like the food better(husband can’t tell the difference) D) The woman who works there is probably the nicest most hardworking person I have ever met(she works 7 days a week!) I always get the orange chicken and rice. Hubby always gets terriyaki chicken and broccoli beef. We always get a lot of food and we leave happy and you really just cannot beat the price for fast chinese food. To the bad reviews below– not sure what you were expecting from«fast chinese food» that is $ 6-$ 7 a plate… for the price — this place doesn’t get any better.

There is nothing happy about this place. Years back the food was decent and I believe most would contemplate returning. We had not been there in a very long time and decided to eat there tonight. Wow, what a mistake!!! The food was over-cooked, saturated with salt and just awful. We had rice, chow mein, riblets, bbq pork, broccoli beef and kung pao chicken. The chow mein had no vegetables, just noodles, but that was the better of the items we ordered, and even then the noodles were nothing to really mention. What was the worst of everything, was the«free fortune cookies. Yikes! They were so old and stale they reeked of old oil. I am so glad that the smell was so gross and over-powering that I did not bite into it. It was at that point, that I realized the saltiness in the food was to mask the taste and the soggy texture of the food was most likely due to yesterday’s food being reheated today. If they have the nerve to keep cookies around until they’re rancid, keeping food around for an extra day or two has to be acceptable. As we were leaving, I watched as white rice was being placed into a container for refrigerating. I think I will call the health department, in spite of the business’ having an A rating. Who ever rated it as such had to have been bribed. This establishment would also benefit from a deep cleaning. The only good thing we experienced was the service. She possessed good customer service skills. She was friendly and professional. Trust my review, don’t go to Happy Wok, you will regret it and most likely get an upset stomach. As I am writing this review, I can feel my stomach starting to get upset.

Why is Happy Wok getting no love? I think the people who gave it 1* or 2* are nuts and/or don’t know their chinese fast food. This place has the best braised short ribs. Yes, it looks odd sitting all in the steamer serving thingies looking all brown and grey but to the trained chinese eyes, you know its good when you see it. The short ribs are a great mix of fatty bits and with bits that fall apart and chewy meaty bits that stay intact. All swimming in a yummy rib broth. Get the hot sauce with your chinese short ribs over steamed rice. If you want a «balanced» meal, get some steamed veggies as well. For under $ 7, it’s enough food for seconds. And to top it off, the people who own the place are some of the nicest, most friendly folks. For a cheap, yummy lunch, check this place out!

Happy Wok is located on the far west side of a strip mall once anchored by Albertson’s. My visit to Happy Wok was for take-out. The worker behind the counter was amiable and provided great customer service. The compliments stop there for this establishment. I ordered a two entrée combo which included chow mein, fried rice, Kung Pao chicken and spicy chicken. The carbs were okay but the entrée items were poor. There was hardly any chicken in either of the supposed chicken entrée items. The sauce on the spicy chicken was overly viscous and salty. The Kung Pao chicken lacked flavor and was hardly spicy. I had to add a healthy amount of Sriracha chili sauce to make up for the lack of heat. The total for my meal came out to just over $ 6.
