Came here a few weeks ago for a business luncheon where there was a buffet lunch(so I did not get to choose the menu). My initial impression of this place is that it’s actually a nice little place here on Cal Poly Pomona’s campus, but the look seems to be a bit outdated. The room that the business luncheon was held in was quite small, but had a projector and high tech set up for presentation purposes. The food that was served included a green salad(basic cheap iceberg lettuce with sliced cucumbers, shredded carrots), choices of 2 salad dressings(Italian was the only one I actually remembered), barbecue chicken, barbecue tri tip, dinner rolls, pasta salad, assorted roasted vegetables(with a little too much oil) and assorted tiny dessert cakes/pastries(3 types). I was a bit disappointed with the salad because I prefer my salad to be made with the dark green leafys. The tri tip was a bit dry, but the barbecue sauce was nice and sweet and savory. The pasta salad was just your standard pasta, so nothing really remarkable about it. The assorted roasted vegetables were really tender and had a nice mix of roasted vegetables. But didn’t like that it was just dripping with oil. I tried 2 of the 3 desserts offered and don’t exactly remember what they were. But one was a cake with a slivered almond top and that was very bland(only had 1 bite and stopped eating that). The other one(don’t remember what it was) was also just very bland and so I stopped at that 1st bite. Overall, I didn’t think there was anything special about the food that I had, but am willing to give this place another try. But would like that 2nd visit be for the restaurant instead of the buffet style luncheon food.
