This company does good work but provides levels of customer service that are frightfully dim. There is also difficulty locating an actual office so you can initiate legal proceedings. The estimates for work are not even competitive in hindsight. I would not recommend this company.

DBASAM’S FLOORING. Listed on Sam’s business card are telephone numbers 888.383.3267, 213.248.2227,Facsimile 909.629.1945 listed on his invoice is 888.383.3267ALLFORTHESAMEGUY. This company also has flyer’s going out to local communities. Read the small print WEBRINGTHESHOWROOMTOYOU and PICTURESAREFORILLUSTRATIONONLY. This company seems to be a one man operation. CORPORATEOFFICE address appears to be an apartment or condo per Google Maps. The BUSINESS address he uses ISNOT his! Mail has been sent there and been returned yet this is the address he gave the REGISTRARRECORDER, I confirmed per his fictitious name statement. Sam is full of the right words. Sam is very charming and will tell you what you want to hear. A CARPETMILL he claims to buy directly from does not show his business on their vendor list. I called, they do not know him. Sam does not create quotes with line items. He will quote you a lot charge. His quote to me was not in square feet or yards but rather by the room. You have no idea what price you are being charged for carpet or for the padding. You will not be able to compare with any other vendors as most will give you itemized quotes as they should. The carpet and the installers arrived as promised. Beware: I was in a pinch. I was referred to this company by a family friend. I used this company for carpet padding and carpet for a couple of rooms. The receipt states I paid for 7lb. carpet padding and a particular carpet product. I recently had a water leak and water damage. My carpet padding needed to be replaced and the carpet required sanitizing and re-installation. When the restoration company came out to replace the padding they brought the product I told them to based on my invoice from Sam’s Flooring. Turns out I was cheated. Sam charged me for ½″, 7 lb. carpet padding but he installed 7/16″, 4 lb. and 6lb mixed carpet padding. The restoration company showed me what 7 lb. padding should look and feel like. What I have is not 7 lb. padding at all. In addition, the carpet I purchased from Sam’s flooring less than 8 months ago is shedding terribly. It clogs my vacuum cleaner in minutes. I have 3 vacuum cleaners. Each has been clogged within minutes. I have to take the vacuum cleaners apart and use my shop vac to suck out the fibers inside. I know new carpet will shed, but 8 months later? Not this much. I am now suspicious the carpet is not what I paid for either as it is falling apart on me. lastly, I was NOT given proof of purchase, a product certificate or a warranty information package(which carpet manufactures do have and will supply to their distributors if requested) NOTE: Without having proof of purchase and warranty information you will not know how to stay within your warranty if the time comes to exercise your warranty rights. Trust me on this. If you fail to comply to the warranty requirements ANDBELIEVEME, THEYEXIST, you will not be able to place a claim if it ever becomes necessary. I called Sam and asked for proof of purchase from the Carpet Mill and my warranty package, to date I have not heard back from Sam or received either of my requests. I did however receive a letter from another party who claims he works for the Carpet Mill stating the product is what Sam claims, the letter however, was NOT on company letterhead. It appears Sam is buying from another party and reselling WITH A VERYHIGHMARKUP rather than BUYINGDIRECT as he claims. Knowing I was cheated on the carpet padding, because I never received my warranty package and there is no valid proof about the Mill my carpet came from, the entire experience a bad one. I DONOTRECOMMENDTHISVENDOR.
