Alex’s Carpet Cleaning & Restoration

I would have done 10000x better of a job if I had gone to Publix and rented a rug doctor and done it myself. They gave me one price over the phone and another in person. The guy only steam cleaned and it was twice as expensive to shampoo. I was told that it would be a unit within the truck and not a portable, as the portable was for high-​rises and the large unit could only be used for single family homes and did a much better job. No such thing arrived. it was a little portable unit. Anyway, first of all the guy tried to pull like 17 fast ones over on me, but I stuck to my guns. Then he didn’t even shampoo. And he didn’t even do the whole room I had to follow him around and point stuff out left and right. Then he asked me why I lived alone (creepy and also none of your damn business) and then proceeded to argue gay rights with me (as obviously I’m gay), without me bringing up the topic at all myself (he saw a picture of my partner and I). Awful service all the way around. if I could give it zero stars and stamp a big STAY AWAY stamp on it I would. Wretched job. Wretched service.
*****UPDATE: I would also like to add that I tried emailing the company about my experience, but not only did I not get a reply (as in an apology and/​or refund) but after I left this review the technician who did the terrible job with the offensive service and lack of professionalism had the AUDACITY to send me a TEXT message TELLING me he «was sorry for making me feel bad to choose to be gay but please take review down because it not fair.». That’s an exact quote btw.*****

I called alex for a quote & got one right away. Performed the job the same day. I was in disbelief how clean my carpets were for a reasonable price. I dealt with Alex himself & he is very nice & professional. He cleaned, deorderized, & even provided scotch guard on my carpets for 2 of my rooms & my staircase for $ 150.00. It was a much cheaper quote than stanley steamer that qouted me online for a price of 230.00 for the same job. I will be using him from now on when my carpets need cleaning.
