Finley’s used to be located on my way home from work, so there used to be frequent Friday evening stop ins to get my fix of food/culture/people from home. When they moved to this location north of my work(and no longer on my route home) I bookmarked them to stop in for lunch, but never got around to it, until my birthday this year, when I knew exactly what I wanted to eat for lunch! Just like their older restaurant, I doubt they see a whole lot of a dine in crowd, but they do have lots of seats and do offer table service if you choose to dine in. If take out is what you’re after just head up to the bar area and place an order and grab a seat with some of the regulars. We chose to dine in and the server was quick to bring over menus. They do offer some cheap lunch specials here(chicken and pork) but of course I came to eat conch. If you go with one of the«dinner» plates you’re looking at about $ 15-$ 20, but you can easily make 2 meals of it if you have any self control(I don’t lol). Being a typical Bahamian restaurant, they were out of a few things and some others weren’t quite ready, so I ended up getting a steam conch with peas and rice, coleslaw and plantains. I’m not going to really comment on the full authenticity of the food(trust me this isn’t a fully Bahamian owned and operated establishment) but the food hit the spot and I was satisfied. We did also share a conch fritters to start, which were good, but a little lacking on the conch. Sadly it was a work lunch so I didn’t get to indulge in a sky juice, but it is good to know that they do offer some liquor drinks, as well as happy hour beer specials. Perhaps I do need to start coming here after work on a Friday again… Thanks for my taste of home on my birthday Finley’s!

This place never disappoints me when I’m in town. Food is always great and the service makes you feel at home. Also great music while you eat. Wife loves their steam snapper and I get the crack conch.

I’ll be the first one to admit that I don’t know a lot about Bahimian food. But I will tell you that this is some of the best that I’ve had. It rivaled food I had at the«fish fry» district in Nassau. This place was recommended to me by a local Bahimian, but I think it was someone I just met in passing because i can’t remember who it was. I did remember to bookmark it on Unilocal. And, boy am I glad I did. When I first walked in, there were a bunch of people just standing around by the counter and it was hard to tell who was in line. Once I did get the attention of the guy manning the counter, he was very friendly. I had the crack conch combo. The conch was perfect! The peas and rice were delicious, which is odd because I usually don’t love that stuff. The plantains were so sweet and amazing. It also came with home made mac and cheese which was really incredible. I can’t wait to come try it again!

Great Bahamian spot close to 95 in Pompano. Had the cracked conch(a must) chicken in da bag, rice n peas, mac n cheese; all were great. The place is not cheap, but you’re definitely paying for quality food here. Actually, scratch that; it is cheap. Our bill came to $ 35 for all of the above and a bucket. Late happy hour n bucket specials are also a plus. I highly recommend and I will definitely be coming back to try the lobster and garlic crabs.

Just moved to Pompano Beach last month and so far we have been here twice. Love the food. The cracked lobster and fried conch is so yummy. Never overly fried or overly seasoned. Prices are so-so but overall we love this place.

Finley’s is a shopping plaza off Atlantic Avenue. The team at Finley’s is awesomely friendly and funny. I had cracked conch, shrimp, conch fritters, fried plantains, rice and peas. It a great dining experience with Bahamian calypso tunes in the background. If you can’t go to the Bahamas go to Finley’s. I recommend you give them a try.

Clean establishment, with friendly employees. Cooked to order shrimp, conch & tilipia, with peas & rice, plantains and cole slaw. Something about the cole slaw(must order an additional side). Can’t say enough about the seafood. Fried just right, but not greasy. Seasoned to enhance the natural, freshness of the seafood. Finely’s is always a must when I’m in South Florida!!!

This place is pretty great. I can’t wait to try it again and get even more food. A friend recommend that a group of us go and try it out. We get there and are greeted immediately. I have to say, our waitress was great. She made us laugh and was just the sweetest thing. Now the important stuff– the food. One regret is that I didn’t get to try(yet) the conch salad that they prepare fresh for you. I did steal some fried conch from a friend’s plate and it was delicious. I also stole some peas and rice from another friend’s plate and it was pretty good too. Being cautious, I ordered the fried shrimp with fries. The jumbo shrimp were great tasting. It was on the crunchy side, which is ok by me. The fries were good too– standard French fries. I loved the coleslaw! I could have had seconds of that for sure as well as the mac and cheese(which was really pricey for the size of the portion). They give you six or seven different sauces, lemon sauce, tartar, ketchup, hot sauce, etc and I am a sauce person so I’m all about that. My meal with drink was under $ 15 and yes I stole food from my friends, but I was stuffed.

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. The food is straight outa Bahamas… amazing. Just try it and you’ll be hooked. Try the fresh conch salad and you’ll love it. I’ve had the whole snapper, tilapia, grouper and fresh conch salad. I would eat here 7! days a week… if they weren’t closed on Mondays!!! The atmosphere is great and the people that work there are very friendly. I can’t say enough about this place… it’s great. Give them a try… you won’t regret it.

This place was highly recommended to me by Bahamian coworkers and they both said the food is authentic but I get to differ. Got takeout here tonight and I am less than satisfied. I ordered the conch and shrimp combo with fries. The conch was cooked perfect but lacked seasoning because it was bland. The shrimp was lackluster at best! I believe they use frozen shrimp because it doesn’t appear to be freshly battered since it was extra chunky and more batter than shrimp. I love conch especially the way Bahamians fry it so I was truly excited to have some conch tonight but I’m left underwhelmed. Don’t believe I will be eating from here again.

I have a few Bahamian friends and each has their fav authentic spot. Through our friendships, my palate craves a few traditional dishes. A great spicy conch salad is one of them. Upon entering, you feel as though you have traveled those 40+ miles to get the great islands of the Bahamas. There is a conch salad bar where your order is made fresh. The specialist uses only fresh ingredients and cuts them by hand as you watch in amazement and sip on an ice cold Kalik. For the price of $ 13, you can get a large conch salad at the temperature of your choosing. Of course mine was spicy and I added a bit of Louisiana hot sauce once I reached home(my home state house sauce makes everything better) :-). The conch salad was great but I feel I had too much onion in my serving, I’ll ask for light onion next time. Nevertheless, it was still a treat. Enjoy!

I’ve had the pleasure of eating at Finley’s today. It was a wonderful native Bahamian experience that reminded me of actually being in the Bahamas. The food was freshly made to order and delicious. The selection of native beverages such as goombay punch, kalik and red stripe was surprising. Finley’s is A1 in great food, family friendly environment, amazing staff and restaurant cleanliness. I highly recommend eating here.

I always go to Lynn’s kitchen in Hollywood Florida off of pembroke road but this place is a winner. I will be back to try their conch salad and if it’s all that I won’t have to travel to Hollywood anymore lol

My Bahamian family came here for a birthday celebration. It is not often that a Bahamian restaurant in the US is so good we feel transported back to Nassau. The chef came out so we could personally thank her. If you want authentic Bahamian food for breakfast or lunch, this is the spot.

Very nice menu. Food is plentiful and the prices are reasonable. The fried fish and conch were great. The stewed grouper was very good too. Very relaxing atmosphere, and the service was fantastic.
