GXE Games

Chances are if you’ve never been here before, it will be really difficult to locate it!
It’s located in a warehouse that has been converted into a gaming center.
The owners wanted to create an environment where gamers could come together and «play» with their own groups or to meet other people with similar interests.
The main room is set up with tables and chairs, a bookcase holding all the board games. There are three other rooms that are also used for games that are played on a console or a computer.
I joined a group of friends who frequently visit GXE Games for a night of fun and games. The main room has a pretty nice selection of board games, the usual choices and some specialty ones.
A game of Magic amongst four players eventually expanded to some other nearby players.
As more players arrived, a rather intense but hilarious game of UNO took place followed by a large game of Cards Against Humanity.
The most interesting parts of GXE in my opinion:
*It’s free. There is no charge for access to the games or the rooms.
*It’s engaging. Most of us that joined in the UNO game didn’t know each other but we all wanted to play so we all joined in.
P. S. If you are parched or a little hungry from all that intense gaming, there is a small concession window where you can purchase refreshments at a very reasonable rate.

Lovely people with their heart in what they do. When our (nerd) group showed up and needed space, they let us have our run of the place and were nothing but supportive. Wine spilled? They were there. Need extra space? They were there clearing tables in a moment.
Please please support this local store. They are great at what they do and nothing but the best customer service.
