Our favorite place. Great food and excellent service every time. I will bet money they have the best burgers and the best kale salad anywhere. Ask for Lori or Lindsey and relax and enjoy!

I was shocked that we were walk-​ins and we were seated right away. They were super busy bit handling it with class. Our server Todd was excellent and was very attentive! The food was great I ordered the Madeira Chicken and hubby got the Baja chicken. The fresh lemonade was so good and they had free refills so thats a plus. This place has the best warm fresh out of the oven bread. Inside the restaurant can be noisy but we sat in the sunroom and it was the perfect scenery and not noisy at all. Thanks to this place we had the perfect Fathers Day dinner.

Lori is taking care of us tonight I ordered a j marks Mojito which is made with Malibu coconut rum and it is certainly refreshing and delicious (it was still happy hour 2 for one so I got TWO! they were THAT good!) We were started off with warm home-​baked rolls… Just delicious. Dad decided on baked potato soup and I wanted the quinoa salad. For our entrées dad is having crab cakes and I am having the Ahi Tuna appetizer it is seared rare drizzled with wasabi garnish with pickled cucumbers and soba peanut noodles. The quinoa salad is absolutely fantastic The kale is crispy and fresh with cherry tomatoes sliced almonds and a fantastic dressing it is absolutely my favorite salad. When we were seated we sat next to the banquet room that was pretty packed and it seems like they had some kind of an award ceremony but it didn’t interfere with our meal at all. I changed my order to the prime rib which was cooked to Perfection tender juicy medium rare with a loaded baked potato Simply heaven! Dad’s crab cake is loaded with fresh crab meat lime lemon and cocktail sauce on the side and a side of steamed broccoli. We both commented that years ago it was slipping a little bit but something has changed and it is above standard tonight for our dinner. It has totally made a 360 degree turn around the food is fantastic whoever is in the kitchen is doing a great job. I hope that those that were disappointed before give it a second chance because it’s really well deserving. The food is outstanding and my meal was fantastic cook the exactly the way I wanted it and it was delicious. Had to skip dessert this time we were to full because our meals were that that good!!! We will return We Live up the street and with the Improvement in the food quality definitely we will be back. Thank you Lori thank you J Marks for the Fantastic early dinner a Thursday night.

Service was quality, price was reasonable, food was pretty good. I ordered a chicken chopped salad that was pretty tasty. Waiter was literally an encyclopedia of the menu — it was impressive. Staff seemed to work together really well. Food came out at just the right pace.
It’s not amazing, but for a consistent quality place to grab some lunch you can’t go wrong.

The food was great, very tasty. Our waitresses Lori was very sweet and her service was exceptional. I would definitely come again.

The food was fabulous, my prime rib was cooked to perfection. BUT this is the first time I have ever been given the check in the middle of the meal– the waiter said for our convenience. As we were finishing the meal, while I literally had a piece of steak on my fork headed towards my mouth he cleared the table taking my plate away before the meat reached my lips. UNBELIEVABLE.

I have been here numerous times before, usually a good experience. Excellent food, drinks, and service. My family and I are big fans and weekly visitors to the Pompano location. Tonight I joined a couple of my co-​workers for an early evening bite and beer. Kaitlin took care of us with her fun and friendly top notch service. She was timely and attentive and executed a smooth sailing service. We will definitely be back, and ask for her again!

Mahi mahi and garlic mashed potatoes were amazing! Their complimentary bread from fresh and hot. Eric was the best waiter ever! Super friendly, attentive, and informative.

I’ve been coming here since it opened and this location is my favorite. I think that they have a great staff and all seem to be team players. The manager Anthony is very professional. He has a great attitude and he’s going to get far. Again, I think the whole staff is great but his professionalism really shines.

Ambiance is wonderful, wait staff was amazing the food was good minus the prime rib sliders (very dry).

This place never fails to impress me. Every time I come, I take advantage of the Happy Hour and have a few bites to eat. Every time without fail, I always order a side order of sautéed carrots. They are delicious but this last time they came out mushy, almost like baby carrots. Usually, all of our food is always consistent, this time they slacked. Not sure if they chef was different but my food was different. Still delicious but different.

Best ribeye, medium rare, thank you very much, ever! The chopped salad could have been a meal in and of itself, and the service was excellent. I will be back.

The warm J Marks dinner roll is a must. It’s a treat. The fried avocado eggrolls with sweet tamarind dip was awesome. The smoked fish dip was so tasty. Instead of the wonton chips, you can request for toasted bread slices which complements the dip better. The ahi tuna salad was very satisfying with the soy dressing. The staff was attentive. Great service.

A fan of the location in Fort Lauderdale already, I decided to come to J Marks in Pompano to give it a try.
Ambience:
It’s really dark here. Good for dates. Bad for all the elderly people who are here (and there are a lot in this place). The décor is essentially the same as FTL; lots of wood fixtures, somewhat fancy without being fancy. Not as open as the other location and I didn’t notice a large patio like the other has (it was dark when I got there so I apologize if I missed it).
The staff:
Our waiter Danny was great. I couldn’t tell if he was 22 of 52 because he had this old school charm and manner about him which was honestly kind of delightful. He was prompt, polite, and truly made sure I dining experience was exactly what we had hoped for. We couldn’t have asked for a better server and I would ask for him again if I go back, which I’m sure I will.
The food:
Speaking of J Marks in general, there are things I love and things I’m like eh about. I ordered my go-​to J Marks chicken tender salad and it did not disappoint. The ranch dressing they give you has a hint of spice which tastes great on the large pieces of fried chicken. The sale is huge. Lots of fresh veggies, croutons and most importantly– fresh lettuce. Nothing upsets me more than wilted lettuce on a salad. It was delicious. You can get them to bring you bread (which I recommend) and you’re all set.
Overall it was a great experience. I was very happy with my meal and my service. My neighborhood J Marks ranks just as well (if not better) than their other location for sure.

Horrible Experience. Ordered 3 steaks, 2 came out first then 5 minutes went by, 10 minutes, no steak and no waitress to be found. At the 15 minute mark the steak comes out, of course it’s well done because it had been sitting under the heat lamps for 15 minutes.

Very good mid-​day menu and Happy Hour! My husband had Fish and Chips and I had Orange Chicken. Both were excellent! The fish was so light, so flakey and batter light but crisp. Cooked perfectly! And the ketchup… which our excellent waiter Chris told us was «Fancy ketchup» was really delicious! Not your father’s ketchup that’s for sure!
We are new to J Mark’s but definitely fans! We shall return… PS service was friendly and very good!

This food was pretty tasty. Even though this is a chain that I noticed all over South Florida, I decided to try them out on the last night of my vacation in Pompano Beach. I went on a Sunday evening and was seated immediately.
I thought that the lighting was a little dim, but I guess that was for ambiance. The waiter came over and was super friendly.
We ordered filet mignon, grilled wings, and a crab cake along with sauteed spinach, garlic mashed potatoes, and black beans/​rice. The steak was prepared perfectly. The crab cake had lump crab meat, and the wings were good. Everything tasted good, and we left stuffed! The food quality was on point. I would definitely return.

Had reservations for 6. Hostess still said we’d be waiting about 25 min. Still better than waiting 2 ½ hours with no reservations. It was a VERY busy night. Ordered drinks and bread came out as a pre-​appetizer. Bread was great.
Appetizer: we ordered the J Marks trio… bbq chicken wings, bam bam shrimp and avocado egg rolls. Wings were giant and delicious, probably some of the best I’ve had. The bam bam shrimp was delicious, a little sweet for my taste but still very good. The avocado egg rolls were also good but I’m a little more geared toward the carnivorous side and they weren’t. Still good though.
Meal: I ordered the filet medium rare with Cajun French fries. I also asked for a side of ranch dressing to dip the fries in. The dressing came out before the meal which was a big plus in my book. The meal came out perfect and tasted great. Fries were amazing. My girlfriend got the shrimp scampi with angel hair pasta. It was also great.
Will be back. Solid 4 stars for food and service.

I used to eat here frequently but since they now have a J. Mark’s on Federal in Lauderdale, I frequent that location more but only because it is closer to where I live.
As the menu’s and food are pretty much identical in all respects, what I have to say about this location is pretty much what I had to say about their other location. However, I’m giving this location one star more because their service seems to have remained much better whereas the table service at the Federal location has slipped somewhat and the bar area there is becoming more and more sports bar like in atmosphere.
The one thing that J. Marks has that you don’t want to miss because they are better than in any other restaurant in the area are their rolls, always served hot, fresh in taste and with a delicious honey like flavor.
I usually get the prime rib which initially had been really tender and you could tell honestly aged, but as of late rather tough and seemingly to me not as flavorful, and if it is aged they could have fooled me. Hence for the price of 12 ounce cut that only includes one side which is not a salad, isn’t exactly a whiz bang of a value for $ 25.99.
Their Caesar salad may be order with anchovy which will consist of four filet sides of black anchovy merely plopped on the top with the greens having the appearance of having been run through lawn mulcher resulting in a texture closer to that of coleslaw than a salad.
All of their pasta dishes continue about the same, having a good flavor, taste, al dente texture and their chicken continue to be pretty good as are their crab cakes and seared tuna appetizer.
