King of the Road is an independently owned broker with excellent logistics for delivering your automobile anywhere. I shipped a Subaru from Duke University in Durham NC to Denver University in Denver CO over the 2015 Christmas holidays without any problems. The quote was very reasonable and competitive including storage in Denver. Follow up with delivery can be complex and they do it well. The staff is very polite and trustworthy. This is actually my first time writing a review just coz I will not recommend this company for some reasons…
FIRST, They don’t have their own truck, they just call some dispatchers that can take your car to the location or state you want your car to be delivered, so in short they’re «THE MIDDLE MAN» that’s why on their contract if you want to file a complain it’ll say that you can only file in the state of Florida (Smart)
SECOND, When calling them and asking them questions on when can they pick up your car they’ll only say the things you want them to hear but in reality, they are not organized the reasons why they have a 2 – 7 days waiting period to have your car pick up coz again they don’t own their own truck, why I know? Coz I got my car towed to a lot, then someone called from a dispatcher (4 different drivers) telling me that they will pick up my car the next morning… again not organized.
THIRD, the total of my quote was originally $ 694 then went down to $ 674, then they changed the tariff to $ 700, because I paid the other towing service because they have to put my car to a lot I paid $ 50, so it went down to $ 624, and then they didn’t change their contract till I requested, the when they car arrived the driver (the truck who delivered our car) told us «that this company are ripped off, they don’t have their own truck and will call a lot of truck owners to schedule a pick up, then they’re not organized» coming from a company they’re working with. wow!!!
FOURTH, On their website you will see that they have a military discount of $ 50.00 but they only gave us a total of $ 25.00 (so from the website to reality… again…what do you guys think about that?)
If only I had the chance to cancel I would have, but due to the fact that we had to leave the next day we have no choice but to deal with their lies and sugar coated words.
Yes they don’t answer once you make a complain over the phone you will go straight to the voicemail, and when you try looking for your car they have no choice but to call the company they picked to deliver your car.
Again, I will never recommend this company, I would rather find a company that gave their own truck instead of talking to a middle man go directly to the company that has their own truck.
The fact that I read the reviews and this company had a good review but I don’t know, who knows if they themselves wrote that up for them, look at their website first before you ask for a military discount or never even try using this company, it will give you stress and headache.

After being apprehensive of so many brokers, I finally decided to use King of the Road Transport because of their A+ rating through the BBB. They were knowledgeable and very efficient. The carrier they used was also rated A+ through the BBB, they were not supposed to tell me who was carrying my car, but it definitely made sale. There was always constant communication from Alex and Carla letting me know of my car’s status. My Car arrived 5 days ahead of schedule, which was amazing. It was true door to door service, as my vehicle was picked up at my mother’s driveway and brought to my driveway, the driver actually rang my doorbell and there was my car in perfect condition. My car is a 2013 Chevy Equinox LTZ.

Well, they are kinda like someone who is only interested in you for sex. They are very attentive at first (calling and emailing constantly) but then once you put your car onto the auto-​carrier, then you can’t get them on the phone. Once they have your deposit and your car, the customer service department and your agent will be incommunicado.
Oh, and the «Track Your Car» button on the website is not some sophisticated GPS tracking system. It is you entering your information and hopefully someone will email you back. Although, they never emailed me back…
