Absolutely delicious!!! The best buffet in south Florida… Everything is delicious! Been there several times before, but I don’t eat sushi and no one I was with eats it either, but the hot buffet items are all scrumptious!!!’ There is never a bad tasting item or a «eh, it’s ok»… All good! This time I went with a friend who eats sushi… She said it was all delicious and better than other places… The place is very spacious, and beautifully decorated… Even the bathrooms are beautiful! Lol… Bathrooms are maintained very nicely, no smell and clean! The people at the door are very friendly as well. It is a little pricey, I think we paid $ 20.95 during the week. I think the sign said $ 22.95on the weekends… But it is well worth it!!! A large variety of dishes too… And the shrimp in the dishes are larger than other buffets… Desert bar also has more and a better variety than other places! Everyone I’ve brought there says it’s the best buffet by far they’ve been to…

There is A huge variety of Sushi and sashimi. Some of these I haven’t found in other Asian buffers. Different combos. Fresh and flavorful. Now this is an excellent Asian buffet. They had me with the grilled squid. Simple but profound flavor. The place is very clean. Service was great. The portion of the desserts was small enough to indulge to try more than 4 other types of desserts in one sitting. I definitely recommend this place. This is a great quality buffet. I’ve had my share of bad Asian buffets in Broward. This one is topnotch.

Two words best describe this place; Feeding Frenzy. My wife, daughter and I drove to this place from Boca on a Sunday evening because we read reviews on how great this place was and to our surprise, we were highly disappointed and even grossed out. This place was packed beyond its capacity to the point people were waiting outside. We thought this would be a good sign, but again we were duped. The place was so busy, that as soon as they placed fresh rolls on the buffet line, people snatched them up like there was no tomorrow. On the particular Sunday we went there, they were featuring a lobster and garlic dish, and this is where the whole experience turned into complete chaos. There were literally people waiting for them to bring out this dish like someone holding their hand out with bird seed and all the birds coming at once to feed. I have never in my life seen people act so ridiculous over such crappy food. When I was finally able to strong arm my way to try the lobster dish, it was nothing more than a complete let down. The way people were acting over this dish, you would’ve thought it was sooooo good, but I’m not exaggerating by saying it was horrible and tasteless. Overall, the other dishes were mediocre at best, and definitely not worth going out of our way to come here.

I’m always weary of Sushi Buffets, especially those operated by my people(Chinese) and I usually don’t do buffets. But this place impressed me. We were visiting the area and were brought here. This place shattered all my biases against sushi buffets. First the sushi. They had a excellent selection to choose from. The sushi weren’t like what expected from a buffet. overstuffed with rice and one small piece of fish that was thin as miss America. The sushi was made properly. They also had excellent turn over, thus making sure everything was fresh. While the quality of the fish was not fantastic, but they were on the better end for sushi buffets. Second the seafood. This is why I loved this place. They had an assortment of cold seafood to choose from. What I loved most was the freshly(yes freshly) shucked oysters. The oysters were not pre-shucked and sitting on ice, their turn over was so great that they had to keep shucking to keep up. This alone was worth the visit for me. And just to give a comparison, my other regular oyster joint is the Oyster Bar in Grand Central Station in NYC. Thirdly the cooked food. This is not the reason I came to this restaurant, and I, for a rule, do not set foot in Chinese Buffets. However as I was here, I did go over to check out what they had. There were the traditional buffet foods. What surprised me, was that they had Chinese style cooked shrimp, crabs, and crawfish. I ended having a helping of those, and they were fairly well done for a buffet. I had some random other things that I can’t remember, but all were surprisingly good regular restaurant quality. This is NOT the best restaurant I’ve been to. But this ranks among the top buffets in the US and that includes Vegas. They surpassed my expectations. Would definitely go again when I’m back in the area.

The BEST sushi/asian buffet we ever went to!!! My hubby is the sushi expert and he said hands down this is the best quality sushi he’s ever had at a buffet restaurant. We went this past Saturday night at dinner time so of course there was a bit of a wait, however, it was only about a 10 minute wait which wasn’t bad at all. The restaurant is beautifully laid out with the circular sushi bar greeting you when you first walk in. They have a separate hibachi station where you fill your plate with whatever meats /seafood/veggies you want then you give it to the cook to grill right before your eyes.(Make sure to set your plate down in front of him otherwise you’ll be standing there all night.) One of the patrons there was nice enough to let me know«the system.» The hot foods section has a great variety of items, my favorite being the grilled salmon on a cucumber with lemon. They have your standard chinese buffet fare along with some unique offerings such as duck and frogs legs. They also have a carving station with steak, grilled veggies, grilled corn & sausages. This is just like the setup at Santos Buffet in Coconut Creek. Overall a great experience… The food is excellent and the quality can’t be beat. We will definitely be back!!!

When it comes to sushi, there is a direct relationship between price and quantity, I think Miyako Japanese Buffet strikes a great balance between the two. While other place may offer the all you can eat price, the selection can be limited. Yet other offer delicious sushi combinations but the price can add up really quickly. This place offer a nice selection of great Sushi at the typical all you can eat price of about $ 13. I really enjoy a kiwi one that I haven’t eaten before. The place is clean and nicely decorated with an Asian motif(like most of these places of course!). The service was friendly and the selection of drink and other items was on par with other similar businesses. When you are in the mood for all you can eat sushi, you cannot do much better than Miyako in my opinion.

Everything here is fresh and tastes good! Totally impressed with this place. They offer many different sushi rolls and all tastes very yummy. I like that they have a variety of specialty rolls(like the Lobster roll, volcano roll, spider roll, etc). Hibachi is a must have also! Their Chinese hot food is just okay, I’d rather use my stomach space for their sushi and hibachi. The staff here is very friendly and the place is clean and nicely decorated. Probably the best All You Can Eat sushi buffet I’ve been to here in south Florida!

We came here for lunch after reading some very good reviews. The restaurant is very nice inside, spacious and clean. The service is average — I wouldn’t expect more at a buffet. We went to the hibachi section first. The choices were limited and the chef was nowhere to be found for about 5 minutes. Eventually he came out and cooked up our selections. The food was actually very good and probably the highlight of the meal. The sushi was fine. I had a few pieces of salmon nigiri which were as good as some of the other much more expensive Pompano sushi restaurants(9 Face, Take, etc…). The hot food was just okay as was the dessert selections until I noticed they had a chocolate fountain. I think the lunch price is just right and you can count on a good Japanese buffet lunch.

You are greeted with a full sushi bar that’s included with all you can eat crab legs. Very nice set up, food is organized and well made. Nice hibachi grill with fresh chicken and veggies off to the side. Make sure to select your meat, veggies and hand thibachi chef the food with your rice so he can put it all together, that was a bit different. The hot foods are all the way to the back, which include yummy spring rolls, my fav! All the hot foods are varieties of special flavors of chicken. Also for the buffet the desserts selection was pretty vast. The crème brûlée was my favorite Plentiful parking, clean and lots of tables

Fresh and delicious! Great sushi, sashimi and assorted cold seafood. Habachi grill was fast and good. Also includes several favorite American and asian buffet dishes with a full compliment of fruit and deserts. I went at about 7 on a Wed. night. It was busy but not crowded. The servers are lovely and the kitchen keeps the dishes filled and hot. Absolutely loved it!

So I have to say I was pretty disappointed with my visit to Miyako. I read so many wonderful reviews, but I definitely do not share their experience. Maybe it’s because we went to their lunch buffet and not dinner? I brought my mom here on a Tuesday afternoon because I was really craving sushi, but she wanted to have other options. We were seated immediately and our drink order was taken. We then got up to fill our plates. My first go around I decided to choose from the hot food, mostly Chinese cuisine, selection. I got Lo Mein, Crab Rangoon, and a few chicken and shrimp dishes. The Lo Mein was the best thing I tried, and even it wasn’t that great. Nothing really had that much flavor and all of it was either lukewarm or cold. I didn’t truly enjoy any of it. My mom got a little of everything. She was very excited to try the crawfish(she grew up in Louisiana) and the quail eggs. She thought both were awful. She even went as far as to say the crawfish were disgusting :(. By the time we got up to fill our plates for a second time, we still hadn’t gotten our drinks. I called a waitress(not our original waitress) over to ask for our drinks again, and the first thing she said to me was«You didn’t put the order in with me.» Not sure why she wouldn’t have just said«No problem, I will go get your drinks.» For my second plate I chose to do all sushi. The only rolls I liked were the tempura rolls, which is funny because these are usually my least favorite. I normally go after the JB roll, but Miyako’s JB roll had way too much rice and almost had a mushy texture. In fact, most of the rolls had a mushy texture. I normally do seconds on sushi at these kinds of buffets, but there was nothing in Miyako’s sushi selection that I wanted to try again. Now for dessert– Didn’t really enjoy anything here either. Everything that I tasted was really bland or dry. The only thing I liked was the ice cream(green tea and pistachio). Overall it was a very disappointing meal. I left wishing that I had taken my mom to Santo’s in Coconut Creek instead :(.

I was pleasantly surprised to find Miyako Sushi, Hibachi, and Japanese restaurant nestled between Walmart and other retail stores in a strip mall. This place is doing everything right. From the minute I walked in the staff was very friendly and seated us promptly. My waitress came over and took our drink order. The hot green tea was so comforting… In the center of the main room is a very large circular sushi bar… 4 sushi chefs are constantly making interesting types of sushi and replacing what is used… There is such a large variety of sushi to choose from and some sashimi, seaweed salad, mixed green salad, shrimp with mango… I was so surprised to even see quail eggs being served. Miyako serves fresh large snow crabs, peel and eat shrimp, raw clams and oysters… You can try many of the sauces to accompany what you are eating… Along the back wall is approximately 25 hot dishes. My favorite is the lobster in ginger sauce. The lobster was sweet and tender and the hint of ginger gave it a nice touch. There is also garlic shrimp, crawfish, two kinds of Chinese/Japanese beef, and several Chinese/Japanese chicken dishes… there is even chicken style fingers and tempura style veggies… To accompany your meal there is fried rice, chicken lomein, sautéed fresh green beans, pan fried dumplings, hot wonton, egg drop soup, and a filling clam chowder are just a few to mention. I love that they have fresh beef that you slice yourself and perfectly cooked med-rare. If this wasn’t enough they have a hibachi bar where you can choose your meat or seafood and any combination of vegetables. It’s cooked fresh in front of you… If you make it through all of this, and your still hungry and not in a coma you can scoop yourself an ice cream cone or a dish of ice cream, there is at least 6 flavors. The fresh fruit and mini sampling dessert bar is perfect… It allows you to sample many delicious desserts of all kinds. The Crème brûlée was my favorite and the Vanilla Pana Cotta is equally wonderful … It’s cheaper to come for lunch or dinner during the week. Weekends are a little bit more and tend to be more crowded… I am impressed how clean this restaurant is… They really try to give you an experience when you come… This is a nice place to eat if your dealing with people who don’t all like the same thing. There is something for everyone… When I’m back in town I will definitely return…

4.5 stars, but I’m going to round up because this is absolutely, the most beautiful and the cleanest sushi buffet that I’ve been to in the tri-county area. It was a rainy Friday afternoon and I had forgotten my lunch at home. I mentioned to Jessica G. that we needed to grab lunch somewhere, and hinted at some rainy favorites like french toast and soup. Naturally Jessica selected sushi for us lol. Honestly, it was fine with me, as I really couldn’t come up with anything else lol. I’d never been here before, but Jessica said it was worth the drive. When we walked in the door I was immediately blown way. Definitely the best layout for a buffet, and having their sushi options right up front, on a round counter section was beautiful. We grabbed some seats, got water, and got down to the food. It’s worth noting their sushi options — tons of different roll options, I’d guess 20+. A lot of specialty items like quail eggs, jellyfish salad(though a bit slimier than I’m used to), kimchee, sushi pieces, some other specialty rolls without rice, soy paper etc. Also worth noting they didn’t have an sashimi options(lunch time). After loading up on sushi I was pretty full, but felt it my Unilocal need to try some of the Chinese options. Chinese options were probably a little bit lacking, yes there were lots of options, but nothing really worth noting, and they were heavy on the fried options. I got a sprinkling of things(the spinach pie being one of the best) and an egg drop soup with corn. They do have a hibachi station, but I was a bit full and didn’t bother. Rounding out the day I tried a few desserts — panna cotta and crème brûlée which were better than most I’ve had at similar buffets.

Disappointing. With all the good reviews, I expected this place could at least match one of my favorite places, Shinju. Nope, no where close. Lower quality crab legs, sashimi pieces that were tiny, and rolls that weren’t all that inventive or good. Wait staff was nice and the price was reasonable. Sorry, sticking with Shinju.

This was my first time to a sushi buffet. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve been to ‘all you can eat’ places before, but at those places they sit you down and give you a menu to order from and then proceed to bring out freshly made sushi albeit on the thin side. My only other experience with sushi at a buffet is at Chinese buffets where you never know how long the items have been sitting out for. So, even though I was curious about this place I had my reservations. I’m so glad that even with my reservations, I decided to give this place a try because it exceeded my expectations. When you walk in the center circular island is the land of sushi, sashimi, cocktail shrimp, crawfish and crab legs. Behind that is the fruit, salad and desset counter, with the hot food items like udon soup, lo mein, roast duck and more at the very back. The island in the corner next to the hot food was for hibachi which I didn’t try. What really surprised me and removed my reservations was that in the center island were the sushi chefs keeping an eye on all the serving platters. Yes, there may have been a plate or two of sushi that looked like they may have been out there for a bit. But for the most part I felt the turnover of food happened pretty decently. The sushi chefs don’t load up the platters with crazy amounts, so things stay pretty fresh. It’s also nice that the sashimi isn’t served as tiny little slivers as is the case at most all you can eat places. The sushi and sashimi were good, no fishy problems here. Even the crab was solid. I’ve seen some limp and sad looking crab legs at buffets before, but not here. You’ll want to ask for the crab cracking tool. My last test to see if this place was worth it — my boyfriend and I kept checking in with each other to see how our stomachs were doing after the meal. I’m happy to report that there were no issues what so ever for either of us. If you’re in the mood for sushi or sashimi and feel like stuffing your place, give this place a try. Will it replaced your favorite pricey sushi place? Probably not, unless quantity is your game. But this place will scratch that sushi craving you’re having better than Publix or Target could.

3.5, but I shall round up because the sushi offerings are a little more upscale for a buffet. Miyako is located in the back of the Walmart/stein mart plaza for those driving up and down US1 in a confused manner as I was. When my brother and I go to dinner together we usually do sushi buffets, and since this once is new, we had to try. Walking in the restaurant has a nice ambiance and is very clean. We were seated and started our buffet experience. I have a strategy. You have to start with the highest value and least filling items first at a buffet. This for me means shrimp cocktail, crab legs, and oyster or two, and sashimi. I actually judge many sushi buffets by their shrimp cocktail, which I know isn’t the point, but it’s one of my favorite parts. Here the shrimp were a little on the small side and they didn’t replenish them as frequently as a would have liked as I often found myself picking them out of the ice display. The oysters were comparable to what I’ve had similar places, and well as the crab legs and sashimi. As I moved on to sushi I was very impressed with the selection, which is why I didn’t deduct as many stars as I might normally for the somewhat disappointing shrimp. They literally have every kind of roll here included ones wrapped in rice paper reminiscent of a Vietnamese summer roll. I was happy that not everything was shrimp tempura wrapped with cream cheese. They offer quite a few dipping sauces as well which were kept in clean organized bottles. These included the traditional eel sauce and spicy mayo as well as a kimchi sauce. By the time I’ve worked my way through the shrimp and sushi parts of my strategy I am usually pretty fill, so hot food at sushi buffets is never something I am a the qualified to judge. I was happy to find however that they offered shrimp shumai, I haven’t seen this at a sushi buffet before, usually just pork dumplings and wontons. I would definitely pick Miyako over that south Florida sushi buffet chain as it is much cleaner and better kept, and the variety of sushi is more diverse.
