Every year, it’s now in its 24th year, one of the best on land nautical events or happenings to attend is the Pompano Nautical Flea Market, which is a joint of the communities of Lighthouse Point and Pompano Beach. Trust me, it’s HUGE! So big in fact that unless you skip over a few things or shop eclectically, it would be difficult to cover in a single day. It’s an all outdoor affair with no inside convention hall or auditorium to it. The good part about that is that as such it is far more festive with barbecues smoking away along with plenty of entertainment for the kids and though no dogs are allowed, they have dog boarding facilities available. Best of all, if you are looking for anything nautical, new or used, chances are good that you’ll find it here and when you do find what you are looking for, it will only be about a third of the price you might find the same or similar item elsewhere. Then, of course if you shop with cash, most vendors will always give you a «for cash» discount forgetting anything having to do with sales tax. But, not to worry, since I am sure that if you insist upon paying sales tax on top of your purchase price, I’m sure they’ll gladly accept.
