Rapid Rooter Sewer & Drain Service

My outside pipe sprung a link on a Sunday morning. After a few calls I got Rapid-​Rooter. After the water company shutoff the water they were there within the hour. John was professional and did a good job. The price quoted was $ 450 for 1.5 of work. I figured the fact it was Sunday raised the price. In the end it took about 3 hours. The issue was resolved for which I’m thankful but not sure the price was fair. I didn’t have much choice.

Gavin came to my rescue. Replacing the seal and components of the guest bathroom. what a nightmare I am going through. all trying to help give my father a nice existence while he is with me. In the process of snaking my toilet got broken. A huge chunk of porcelain was broken resulting in Gavin having to pay out of his pocket 150.00 for a brand new toilet in my bedroom. Because there was a big clog in the entire house line a gentleman named Mike had to come to help gavin. They have been here 6 hours now. This was a very laborious job and didn’t look easy at all from what I witnessed. We declined an extra 200 camera .I had that done 4 months ago. We went from 490 to 889.00 and if we went with an extra 200 it would bring it to 1089.00. I feel I was charged way too much seeing that they first quoted 480 and then because of their own mistakes and having to bring some jet hose in to blow the line out even more it went up 400 more dollars. HUH??? AND they would not warranty the work. I dont think I will be using them ever again in the future…
In addition I have now received 3 phone calls from the company and I really do not care to discuss my rating or my review and I am certainly NOT removing it after the 7 hours I went through and being charged 890.00. They claimed it was due to the time they had to be there, IF my toilet had not been broken it would have been an easy job. and this is NO reflection on Gavin the worker he was very polite and tried his hardest to do the job until he broke the toilet in my bedroom (the master toilet) ALSO the toilet they got to replace it is a LOT smaller than my original toilet and my friend said I should have made them get the exact toilet and not have taken a LOT SMALLER toilet than I originally had. I also refuse to take this article down. I wish they would stop calling my home.
ONE last thing. Mike told me that they charge 300 a FOOT to repair pipes under the house and that the job had I chosen to do it would be «do not quote him» 10 to 20 THOUSAND to do. UM…I dont think so… thanks anyway
Finally: After about 4 calls I decided to answer (they called from a different number than the shop number) and I explained what took place and about the tiny toilet the worker bought out of his own money and they offered me a new toilet which was way too much trouble .I didnt want them back in the house removing a toilet they just installed… the only thing they could say was the jet hose flush thing was an additional 300 dollars on my bill… and I guess thats it… Im not unsatisfied I just feel it was price gauging at its finest…

Prompt, courteous service. Pumping of septic done effectively, if expensively. Could not clear the clogged bathtub or fix flooding bathroom after about 2 hours of running snakes inside and from the roof, and then bringing in a high priced camera to locate «broken pipes». Recommended treatment? $ 6700 to tunnel under the house and replace old pipes. I brought in another plumber for 2^nd opinion. This one cleared the clogged line in ½ hour and recommended replacing a broken pipe behind the wall in the bathroom. Total cost — $ 600. To their credit, RR refunded the part of the bill related to the snaking and diagnosing

God i wish I would’ve read the reviews before using this company! I am extremely dissatisfied with what I got. I had an emergency… one of my water pipes burst inside my wall and it occurred on a Saturday. So on Sunday after not having much luck with my normal people… I decided to call rapid rooter… biggest mistake EVER!!! Not only are they ridiculously over priced. I hated the the way the tech started with an extremely outrageous price and within seconds would come down. Just trying to close a deal. But after the agreed price. I decided to renegotiate on the work and he had told me $ 340.00 for less of the work and when I said yes he said that for $ 380.00 he would do the entire work we originally discussed so I said yes. After 6 hours of watching him struggle to replace a cut off lever… and see him continue to have difficulties with the soldering of a foot long copper pipe… I thought he was done. When he went charge me, he had tried to charge me on the first quote… and after all the back & forth I ended up paying $ 120.00 more than what I agreed to… total rip off. And now 15 minutes after he left all the crap work he did… was still leaking. I called and and complained, and they send him right back… oh the agony! He finally got it done after another hour & half. At least for the time being… I will continue to check for the next few weeks… because I don’t feel confident in the work.
And to make matters worse they call me today to check how everything went. As of no surprise I did not hold back on venting. And it absolutely got me nowhere. They had a manager call me so that I can explain… and he did absolutely nothing after the entire conversation. Talk about lousy company that won’t even be willing to compensate a dissatisfied customer somehow. I even asked him to come to my house and look at the horrible work that was done. But nothing! I guess when you deal with a mediocre company… you will always get a mediocre response. First and definitely the last time I will call this company. And my reviews will continue on through any and every media source I come across. I hope that no one else will have to endure the outrageous charging, aggravated causing, and lack of craftsmen ship of this company.

I have to say they came fast and the plumber was very professional. Their estimate was very high and didnt want to give me credit the for initial visit so I went with another plumber.

BEWARE: NIGHTMARE experience. they will rip you off and act like they are giving you a deal. they charged me over 1k for a camera video and blow out and did not fix problem. They wanted another 5k to do it. Rude dishonest and unexperienced workers.

My brother called Rapid-​Rooter last week because all of the plumbing in my house was backed up except for the upstairs bathroom. The price was very high but by the time I arrived they were already started so there wasn’t anything that I could do. After a few hours the guy they sent over, that had been trying to use a rooter could not clear the clog. He called someone else to shoot a jet of water into the pipes. This was even more expensive. I wasn’t around when he was there but when I got back home there was a layer of sewage in my house. If that fixed the issue I still would have found it in me to write a decent review. Unfortunately all this accomplished was to push the plug farther into the pipes with a slow drain. We discovered this a few days later while trying to do laundry in preparation for a trip. Now that I am back I called Rapi-​Rooter yesterday to come over and fix the backup for good… I thought. Only after the gentleman on the phone sounding very optimistic and said there would be someone over within a couple hours. The night came and went without so much as a phone call.

Second time I called them in six months for my property mgmt company. Both times they never called back. Call plumbing professionals.

We have used this company for two different projects and they have done a solid job. They have given great suggestions and tips. I would give them another call but I hope it is not for awhile.

The Rapid Rooter plumber was on time, and gave me a reasonable estimate. I presented a discount coupon that I printed out from their website and he deducted the amount from his estimate, and proceeded with the work. He was courteous and neat, and even wore shoe protectors to protect my carpet. He completed job done in a timely fashion — everything was excellent. I will call Rapid Rooter again.

This company blows!
I recently purchased a house and needed two very simple tasks completed… hook-​up the copper water line (already there) to the new refrigerator, and install a new disposal I bought. I called on Monday morning, and was told they could have someone over at noon. Great! That’s fast! However, they could not give even a ballpark estimate and said I would get a quote when the plumber takes a look at everything. But, a plumber didn’t show up until 8 pm… after numerous calls and being told one was on his way over shortly. The quote was twice what I expected. He tried to pressure me to accept the quote. Nope… better to get a more professional plumbing service.

Update:
I was contacted by telephone a few days ago by the owner of Rapid Rooter Plumbers. As a business owner, he was concerned about the review I had written. He apologized for the extreme delay in a plumber arriving… and I do understand that sometimes there may be extraordinary circumstances. However, their customer service/​dispatch could have done a better job that day — a least done a better job at keeping me informed as to what was going on. His second concern was about my comment on their estimate. He explained why he had to charge what they were quoting. Yes, they may be valid reasons why they charge what they do, but I don’t have to pay for it if I can find someone less expensive… which I was able to do. Sure, I could give them another chance, but I’ve found a great reliable, and less expensive plumber, so why should I?
