Scotts Lawn

I live in Broward County and have used Scott’s Lawn Service for about a year. My lawn is okay, nothing great like they promised. I’ve noticed a large area of weeds along my side fence for quite some time. Even though they claim to spray weed killer each time they visit, the weeds persist, never dying. I finally bought a container of weed killer and the weeds were gone. I have an area of dead grass on my front lawn and they have done nothing to correct that. Their technician is here and gone in 10 minutes. My lawn looked much better when I did it myself. When I contacted them via e-​mail, I did not get a response. I finally phoned them and was told a technician would be out to see me the following week, but he never arrived. I have read many negative reviews about Scott’s on the Internet and I now understand why. As soon as I can find a better lawn service good-​bye Scott’s.

Initially for a few months there was a visible improvement. Grass looked better, weeds disappeared.
After 6 months or so, the grass started to thin out, brown spots appeared. The grass was waving the white flag of surrender. It had enough.
I’m no groundskeeper or botanist, but I feel the tech was spraying too much fertilizer too often, which was browning out the lawn.
I fired them. Can’t recommend them to anyone.

We used Scotts for 6 months. They sprayed our plants once and after taking monthly fees of $ 48, wanted an additional $ 90 to spray again. This is after their initial spray didn’t work. My husband immediately canceled service. Our neighbor across the street just canceled as well. Obviously other people feel that they are being ripped off also. We live in a small gated community in Miami where Scotts does a lot of work. We will inform our neighbors! Buyer beware!

They charged our family for a year of service for «fertilizing» dead grass that they knew was never going to come back. It was only after I came home to visit after school that I cancelled the service. That’s when they decided to become «professional» and pay our house a courtesy visit. Do not use this company at all.
