I’ve been a fan of Sears since I was a young kid. My dad used to love buying tools and also trusted Sears for their warranty. I’ve upheld the tradition, at least for the tools. Almost every tool in my garage is Craftsman including power tools. It was a rainy day and I was looking for something to do so I decided to take inventory of my tools and make a list of some of the ones that had gone lost or missing. Off to the store I went… This is a great location in close proximity to my house located on the corner of Copans Rd and Federal Hwy in northeast Ft Lauderdale. Parking is easy and I quickly found a spot near the tool department. I spent some time walking the aisles looking around and looking for sales. Nothing really caught my eye so I got back on track and located the socket section. A pretty good selection but surprisingly there were still a few I needed and they didn’t even have them. I continued walking around a little more and came across a great sale on some metric wrenches that I couldn’t pass up so I grabbed those and went to the checkout. Thankfully there was a cashier there and all I had to do was wait for her to finish texting or emailing and I’d be cashed out. All and all it was a pleasant shopping experience and I will continue to support them for tools, mainly because of the quality. I tend to lose them before they ever break.

I came in with my boyfriend who was running an errand. I decided to take a looksie at the jewelry because I have been thinking of buying something nice for myself. I noticed a sales associate on the opposite side from me working on paperwork or something like that, I figured she would ask me if I needed help the closer I moved to her. I’ve worked in retail before so I know you’re suppose to greet customers and ask if they need assistance. This lady could care less about me or any assistance! I’m not sure if it’s because of how I looked? My dark skin or clothes I was wearing but she definitely saw me! Maybe she figured I couldn’t afford anything there anyway so why bother to help me? Could it be that it was half an hour until closing and she had closing things to do??? There is never ever an excuse as to why you didn’t assist someone! That’s your job!!! You can take the trash out and close your books when your door closes to the public! I seriously couldn’t believe that I was literally 6 feet away from her and she walked away to empty out her trash instead of asking if I needed any help! I was fuming because I saw a diamond solitaire that I wanted to try and possibly buy but I was so turned off by the old lady that I just said screw it! I’ll take my business elsewhere! As I was walking away I asked her if she worked in the jewelry dept and she said yes, then asked if I needed help… I said not anymore and walked away but not before I got her name… Heather with the short hair around your 60’s…do me a favor ma’am…please do your job… It’s customer service not janitorial when someone is taking a long slow stroll along your jewelry counter! I’m not sure if I was profiled or she gave zero f’s about me due to her almost going home but either way it’s no excuse! I’ll never step foot in that Sears or maybe even any other sears!

Old guy complaining about bring screwed by other jewelry places and proceeded to take up the sales person’s time. All I wanted was to ask whether they changed watch batteries. I was so put off by the man’s language and demeanor that I went in search of another sales person. When I couldn’t find one I came back around to the same one still being occupied by the brusquely talking man. She listened some more and then as if my Presence was a bother asked me «what did you need?». I asked about battery change and she said upstairs and then looking at her watch promptly told me he. was closed now and I would have to come back tomorrow. When I still hadn’t moved on she then looked at me as if I was bothering her. I asked when did they open & she said 10 o’clock &/trust her chin out and looked down her nose at me. Granted there was alum no one in the store and 40 minutes til closing, I left rather than shopping as I would do normally. I just was treated so rudely I came and wrote my review rather than spend a minute more in the store. Guess cranky old men complaining as being screwed and cheap brass sh? t being what most of the jewelry they had these days is worth more than a paying customer.

If the mall didn’t change into«OUT» right boring Pompano Citi Centre. Should have kept it as the old and way much better Pompano Fashion Square. Along with that fact, this store used to be better and now it’s waste of my time and gas because some jerk that works at the Appliances section was NOHELPATALL. This was the second time that I received from his useless service and I’m fed up with his lies and made up stories of why the item is not well stocked. Seriously, I go to this store for my vacuum bag refill of Kenmore C canisters and it’s not there! Another reason why I say this man who is bald, wears glasses and looks like some Middle Eastern or Indian middle-aged guy was very rude. I even asked him if he knows when the supplies comes in and he says he doesn’t know. Really? Okay, so I asked him if he could call the Fort Lauderdale Sears to see if they might have it and he hesitantly shakes his dumb head no. This guy should be rewarded as «I’m an useless Sears employee» award. And why should I have to ask him to call or check to see if other Sears retailers has the item that I’m looking for. HE should have put his lazy ass get into action to help me out since I am costumer. Truth hurts but here is my advice: before you go to this store, you might want to call them first to see if they have an item on what you’re specifically looking for. Otherwise, it’s a waste of my time and energy to deal with that stupid employee who is nothing filled with lack of disrespect and service. How embarrassing of him to act like a liar liar pants ONFIRE!
