Been back enough times now to feel comfortable updating to a 5 star. For a pizza joint, this place is incredible. While I don’t sandwiches from here anymore, the pizza is phenomenal. The plain slice will blow your mind, but the specialty pizza is also amazing. The chicken bacon ranch is probably my favorite. Crumbles of bacon, bits of chicken, and ranch drizzle on a white slice. Delicious with a bit of garlic powder. Their vodka pies are great too. The BBQ and buffalo chicken pizza are both delicious. When I get one, I feel like I have to get the other! A slice of each makes a great lunch. They make great grandma pizza as well which I know is becoming more and more popular. Service is always extremely friendly. This has become my go to pizza place for lunch during work. Will continue coming back.

The pizza here is the best around. Love their chicken parm hero too. Be careful if you grab a slice to go… It is HOT! I can’t tell you how many times I burned the roof of my mouth so badly that it blistered because I just couldn’t muster up enough self control to wipe the drool off my chin and wait for it to cool.

I love the pizza at V & J. It’s simply delicious and the guys behind the counter making everything are friendly and helpful. No delivery though so that stinks. Worth the pickup though

The BEST pizza in jersey! I’ve grown up on their Sicilian and regular pies and coming from an Italian family straight out of Lodi by way of Sicily, we take pizza VERY seriously. While the staff is a little creepy sometimes, it’s totally worth it for the food. Their chicken and broccoli roll is also incredible as is pretty much everything else my family has ever had there :)

Tasty pizza, quick service and lots of selection. This place is better than Anthony Franco’s in both quality of food and customer service. The menu is extensive and the place has lots of seating. Only gripe is that the price is a little higher than most other pizza joints in the area.

I lived in Wayne for almost 30 years and soon discovered V&J. I must admit that when I now visit Wayne, I try to stop in for a pie. Pizza here is very good and probably one of the best places in the area. I guess I have become a pizza critic since I seem to be very critical of pizza places. Most places are what I would consider average, while other places make what I would call cafeteria pizza. V&J at least gets it right. Really good pizza which is tasty and not greasy unless you add pepperoni. I never ate regular meals so I can not criticize their food, but I can tell you the Pizza is very good.

VJs has been around forever, come here for 20 years. Pizza is always great, just out of the way of you don’t live nearby. If I’m in the area for pizza always go here.

I’ve been to this place at least a dozen times in the past 6 years. They have one of the best plain slices around. As far as toppings on the pizza, I’ll stay away. The toppings are scarce and the slice doesn’t hold the topping well. They are a bit over priced as well. This weekend I ordered 1 plain slice, 1 buffalo chicken slice, 20oz minute maid lemonade for $ 8.00. Ouch!!! I’ve ordered a whole plain cheese pie from V&J and wasn’t as pleased as the plain slice. Def a great place for a slice … haven’t ordered any dinner menu items yet.

I grew up close by to this restaurant. This is the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life!!! I seriously wish I could have delivered to me somehow or just miraculously have at least a slice just one more time! The taste is amazing!!! Crust is perfect!!! Overall the pizza is delicious!!! You won’t find better anywhere else. They always do a great job! And great service!!! Wishing one day I’ll have a chance to order a pie and enjoy it again!!! Thanks for a wonderful childhood experience!

Best Sicilian pizza in New Jersey. Being born and raised in Queens, NY, I was spoiled by the pizza there. This place saved me from having to drive to Bayside to get a good slice of Sicilian. Staff is nice and friendly too.

I ordered eggplant parm dinner for take out. It was the worst Iv ever had. The frozen you can buy in the supermarket(The eggplant people) would have been better with jar sauce and mozz cheese made in the microwave. Im not sure what they did to it. but it didnt seem like it was cooked. no breading on it. just plant thick cut eggplant. with sauce and a lot of melted cheese. I was surprised because there pizza is awesome! maybe they should stick to the pizza. There also not the friendliest people who work there. next time I’ll drive down 23 to Pizza One. sorry guys. gave you a shot!

Went here on errand day, it was a quick bite to it and was well priced. We tried the arugala, bbq, buffalo, and margherita pizza. It was all tasty! Arugala was unbelievably good! Also had the birch beer soda and a garlic stick. Soda was tasty but the garlic stick could have been more buttery/oily

–excellent quality –lowkey –affordable –lots to choose from –surly guy working I gotta get back to my above format… Husband and I were driving around Sunday both experiencing the first world problems of «SOHUNGRYBUTDON’T KNOWWHATTOEAT». We literally drove from Boonton to Wayne and then I said I kina want pizza… but we’re all the way down here womp womp. He goes«we’re going to V&J’s» well ok! He had been telling me for years how good it was when he was a kid but we never managed to get over here to try it. It was fairly dead when we got there but they had a really decent selection to choose from. The guy behind the counter had the look of maybe being part of the family that owns it or something, that’s a total assumption on my part. He kind of looked like he wanted to kill himself but that was ok, he kina made me laugh. Hubs got a margherita and 2 plain, I got a margherita and a pepperoni roll. Pizza was hot in about 5 minutes and we sat down there to eat. As we ate the place definitely became increasingly busier. Probably between 15 – 20 people came in, some stayed, some got food and left. So the margherita was fantastic. Very high quality cheese, crispy crust, and their sauce is to die for. The pepperoni roll was also delicious and they actually made it so that the dough was cooked all the way through. You guys know, the dreaded raw dough center of a calzone or stromboli is no fun. Hubs plain slices looked great and got the nice orange grease coating on the top so you know it’s good. We left feeling stuffed and fat and happy! I would absolutely recommend V&J’s. ps — I love anywhere that puts up a sign that says«get off your cellphone before ordering» so double points for that

This place all I can say is rude unfriendly service. If your going have shitty service make sure your food makes up for it. The buffalo chicken slice was dry and the blue cheese was from 1985 just looked and tasted horrible. I don’t really get upset easily but VJ. Step your game up because this area has great food all over.

I’ve been going here for about 7 yrs… Amazing buffalo chicken pizza! And the tomato slice is good too. They are both white pies, very good. It’s good for eating in too, plenty of seating, great guys behind the counter. Highly recommend them!

After all these years, still making a great pizza! Good place to stop in and get a quick slice.
