Ponce Inlet Water Sports

We went on a half-​day backwater fishing trip and it was amazing! Captain Jim and his first mate, Eric, were phenomenal. They were so friendly, personable and professional.
The time of the trip was from 9:00 am– 1:00 pm (first week of February 2016, temp was about 65 – 72 F, mostly sunny). We arrived at about 8:30 am. We had no trouble getting there. We were able to bring along a cooler of snacks.
There were 10 passengers on the trip. The captain and Eric made sure everyone got on board okay. Bait, tackle, rods, fishing licenses– all provided. The 4 hour trip all together was $ 50/​person which I find very reasonable.
We were fishing after only 15 minutes after setting out from the dock. Everyone caught at least 1 fish. What a variety! From whitefish, sheepshead, sea robin, lizard fish, puffer fish, pin fish… all different sizes and species. The crew was very knowledgeable and described each fish that everyone caught, and even walked around to show people. We got to touch the puffer fish!
The crew would help you put bait on and always made sure you had bait ready, and would take the fish off the hook for you (or let you do it yourself it you preferred). We went to at least 5 different locations, some by request, including near mangroves, jetty (near the «sharkbite capital of the world» lol), and stopped for a restroom break. For folks who wanted to keep their catches, the crew would gut them for them.
It was a very well-​organized, fantastic time. Highly recommended!

Just had an amazing morning on the water with Captain John. Took my two sons out, age 7 and 9. John was the perfect captain. He’s patient and fun and truly LOVES his job!
We caught a ton of different fish and thanks to him, we’re having fresh flounder for dinner. He knows how to keep everyone entertained– found dolphins and cool birds for the kids and showed me some prime Florida real estate.
Next time we are in the area, strike that– we may be back in the area just to fish with Captain John! Could not have had a better first fishing trip. We all had a great time.

Great attitudes from entire staff !! The place is set up beautifully and very organized. My son and his girlfriend went out parasailing and had a wonderful first time experience. Even the camera girl was first class. Thanks for treating them professionally and returning them safely.
