Favorite spot to eat in poncahtoula. My family visits very often. Food is amazing, drinks so good, and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. Really like their dessert options too! I like how certian nights they have live music but it’s nothing overpowering or too loud it’s just perfect!

Part of the La Caretta chain located in Ponchatoula. The menu is the same as the other locations. I was more than pleased to see this location offers jalapeño margaritas. None of the other ones do. It was delicious! I tried the shrimp brochettes, which are cream cheese stuffed jalapeño peppers wrapped in bacon. It was out of this world. It came with mexican rice and steamed vegetables. The service was great. The location is right in the middle of downtown Ponchatoula next to the railroad tracks. The area is very cute.

The Ponchatoula location is perfect for an afternoon drink when you don’t want to drive too far from home! The service is always quick and friendly, with good quality food we’ve come to expect from La Carreta! The margaritas are strong :) Order a small cheese dip and a single taco for under $ 10! Can’t beat that!
